I can't wait for this. Been gaming since the 80s, so 30fps doesn't bother me one bit given the title's complexity. As a dev, I can't wait to see what they've squeezed out of the systems.

That's a fair size for a game of its scope. Not really a surprise.

I was, however surprised that they didn't target 60fps on Series X to entice people to upgrade ahead of release.

The first game's a powerhouse. I can't wait for more, and I'm jealous of anyone who hasn't had the chance to experience it yet.

It was also responsible for teaching me that many a poor sour drowns in water, and that wolves hunt in packs.

I saw some gameplay footage a couple of months back and it was already becoming pretty evident that it's honeyed shovelware. To the bargain bin!

I enjoyed this on release, but the stick shooting was undercooked. Hopefully this re-release will cover the issues.

@BrilliantBill I disagree. Mods serve a better, more fitting purpose. If all users are being asked to change a default setting, it's a testing oversight.

Why weren't optimised settings identified by playtesters prior to release? Are we close to the point where C# coding experience will be needed so you can fix the bugs yourself?

It just didn't hold my interest at all. The framerate was all over the place on my Series S in parts, and the jump animation felt really janky. Maybe patches will sort that out, but I won't be returning.

This is why I buy games months, or even years after release. Beyond the general lack of polish, there's the inevitable hype and controversy to wade through. Then there's the DLC. Wait long enough to buy the ultimate/GotY edition.

I was quietly hoping it'd return with a much needed FPS boost. It's a cracking game that deserves the special treatment.

Beyond Good and Evil 2? Really? If you dropped $17.99 a month until its release, you'd end up roughly $2.5 million down.

It's... meh. I waited a while to play it, and honestly wish I hadn't bothered.

I lost a 93 week streak, which isn't ideal.

Lost Odyssey and Brutal Legend are excellent deals. I'd love to see a decent remaster of both - or a sequel, moreso

I didn't mind Judgement, but I only casually play Gears games so I'd be less likely to spot inconsistencies a diehard fan would.

I've been enjoying it. I do wish they'd bring the install size down a bit, though.

Categorically, no! They can barely justify the existence of the current ones as is.

They've been a fantastic series of games, but where I want them to go next is into retirement.

Picked up Elden Ring at long last. I hated the Souls games, but this one really hits differently. Top class

I'm back in The Witcher 3 and loving every minute, with Lost Judgment and Tales of Arise around it.

It's OK, but something about it feels a bit flaccid. Maybe I've just been playing FPSs for too many years, but 2042 just lacks any soul to me.

I played the first Risen to death on release. It was excellent, particularly if you like Eurojank titles like Elex. I was considering picking this up in the store, but I'll wait for this port.

I can't help but feel RTX is a bit gimmicky. I seldom see significant benefit, even on a high end TV. It feels like a mechanism for selling "next-gen" consoles that failed to make the significant leap previous gens did.

@CunningPig yeah, especially once you start doing the palaces, and juggling time during semesters. It's well over 100 hours long, so there's plenty of gameplay in there.

I loved Praetorians back in the day, and it looks like a decent enough remaster. I'll couch coop Dead End Job with my kid, too so it's a good month for me.

Persona 5 is pure JRPG bliss. Always has been, and Royal Edition is really sexy on my XSS.

@ThatFilbo P5 plays like most other JRPGs, only better. If you can't handle dialogue, you'll be missing out on some genuine masterpieces.

I can't handle the frame rate on this one. Maybe it's my old geezer eyes, but on Series S it looks like you're playing after drinking too many beers.

This sounds very like Skyrim Anniversary Edition, which I thinks a spectacular bundle. I have high hopes for this as Fallout 4 was downplayed by some, but remains one of Bethesda's best releases to date.

It's a beautiful, nauseating mess right now on Series S. I can handle 30fps generally, but I'm struggling with this one. I might wait for the inevitable patches so my experience isn't hampered.

It would take a lot more than this to get me to log into Twitter.

@JON22 I do numbers on mobile, and on my console I spam "y" in the Bing app. Works a charm.

Digital preorders seem daft to me. Stock won't exactly be an issue, and games often need umpteen post release patches before they're even playable these days.

I'm a rally fan so DiRT is always high on my list, but Forza Horizon wins on the fact it's an experience.

I love Rewards. I genuinely enjoy the daily quizzes. I will, however, go postal if next month's Top 10 achievement thing doesn't register.

I completed this on my PS4 and can't wait to have another go. An excellent series that'll be right at home on Xbox.

This one's a hard pass for me. I dont trust them to not see this as a last chance to fleece people by spinning it out with the same washy sales patter we've seen year on year, and lack of smart delivery to help squeeze a few quid more.

Torment's a gem of a cRPG, and a must for anyone who enjoyed Pillars of Eternity (it's even built on its engine). A lot of reading, but genuinely worth it.

My daughter is going to be stoked when she gets home later. Between this and the Paw Patrol Movie game, GamePass is really shining as a service for all the family.

I'm in no hurry. I'll buy them on sale, by which point they'll be patched. Anyone who dropped 70 on FIFA 22 or Battlefield 2042 must regret it.

@Stoned_Patrol exclusivity needs to die. It's a taint on the industry, and is only used in real-terms by fanboys. Getting something sooner isn't better, and in fact often leads to a subpar product compared to those without the exclusivity, who receive nicely patched "definitive" editions down the line.

I put an insane amount of hours into Persona 5 on on PS4, and didn't get around to trying the Royal Edition so this is good news all round. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet is in for a real treat. Easy 10/10.

They really milked the nostalgia on this one. There's very little to warrant the inflated price of old games. I played them all on release, and that'll suffice for me.
