@coinstar5 same here. UK account, purchased the 360 digital edition back in 2022 but it's still asking for money.

I'd rather they keep AI out of gaming. It's a bubble that could potentially burst, and I'd rather it didn't take gaming down with it.

I must admit I'm not overly surprised that Rockstar pulled a fast one to milk more money out of gamers. It's their forte.

Impairment loss is when an asset's suggested value exceeds the amount actually recoverable. It's just the accountancy term for downgrading and accepting loss. Bad acquisition, basically.

I was actually planning on returning to Control, so this'll do nicely. Absolutely loved it first time around.

I'd have preferred the choice, personally. The Ubi Classics library isn't far off being a bargain bin. Scrap Fortnite Crew, and introduce Ubi+ instead.

Does this mean they shipped the game with a memory leak? Do they just not bother testing any more?

I don't think it'll be a hard fought battle. Battlefield 6 will be the clear victor, and Black Ops 8 will end up being a drastically different experience to regain competitiveness a year or two down the line.

I like Mirage. I'm on my second playthrough after the initial Ubi+ release. I've played every AC game, and enjoyed the smaller scope and avoidance of unnecessary open world tropes. Between work, kids and caring for family, I stand a slight chance of getting enough time to enjoy this one.

I went with 7 but part of me wanted to say 8. It's a diamond in the rough, and 100% worth the nostalgia trip for older geezers like me.

@beltmenot agreed, although I was pleasantly surprised by Star Trek Resurgence recently. It isn't exactly earth shattering, but it captured the feel of TNG/Voyager pretty well imo.

@beltmenot I was addicted to that a few years back. Neverwinter was good, too.

I've tried twice but just can't get into this game. I always end up returning for another Metro Exodus playthrough to scratch the itch.

I'm about 6 or 7 hours in and I'm really enjoying it. It almost puts me in mind of Death Stranding with its vibe. Can't wait to get more time on this one.

I love the Persona series, but this one didn't click for me the same. The mechanics are all sound, but it doesn't have the same panache.

It doesn't bother me at all. Everything is easily accessible from the desktop. It's akin to leaving a room bare because you really like the wallpaper. Form follows function.

I can't get excited about yet another GTA. I've always found them to be seriously overhyped. I'd rather be expecting a polished, 60fps experience than what will invariably be a testbed for new tech.

@Fiendish-Beaver I'm in the same position and simply scrolled by the poll. That works too.

Absolutely love it, but unfortunately it seems to be causing my Series X to overheat. It's the only game to do so, so hopefully future performance patches will drag my clunky old X back into action.

Oblivion Redux?

That's quite a list before you even notice the sidenote about a further 300-odd unlisted. It's good that they're fixing it, but this must have been a trainwreck on release.

When it's stats and abilities, notably BG3, I can inadvertently spend hours tweaking before ditching everything and starting again. The creation and opening hours are usually the most fun for me. Cosmetic and aesthetic aren't of as much concern - I just roll with default Shep.

@RetroMan71 it's a big game. You can probably speedrun it quicker, but I took time to build motorways to help other folk playing. It's a genius concept with peoples' worlds interlinked, with stronger connections pulling more of each others' stuff across. Highly recommend. My favourite game of all time.

Amazing game. I spent hundreds of hours exploring it on my PS4, and I'm 100% down for doing it again on SX

The Souls series. My old geezer reaction times make them pretty inaccessible to me, despite them looking pretty cool.

@GuyinPA75 most of these issues were later patched. In its current state it's a very solid experience on Series.

@GuyinPA75 Civ VI released in 2016. It's a fantastic game, sadly marred by crashing issues on console (at least in my experience).

I didn't enjoy this one as much as similar titles. That said, the price is pretty fair.

I've always worked on a £ per hour for value. That means if I'm paying £60+ for a game, I look for a similar number of (quality) hours' playtime.

@Krydle ESO is subscription free. You can optionally pay for ESO Plus, but you can buy the complete edition up to Necrom for peanuts and never pay another penny (unless you really need the craft bag)

Still Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment. I'll be at this one for a while.

Lots of heat over mere speculation. A lot of folk need to grow up, and fast.

Tales would be a great addition. It was excellent. Even better if they include the new expansion, but that's less likely.

I've always loved the AC games. Having the opportunity to wander realistic recreations of ancient lands is something special in itself. I just wish they'd ditch the modern day stuff outside of the Animus, and maybe shave a little off the size so it isn't a 140 hours+ investment.

Baldurs Gate 3 is now consuming my life. I had planned on playing the Dead Space remake but gaming time is in limited supply.

I save enough for the £5 credit and buy weird indie titles I wouldn't normally try. Discovered a few gems in the process.

I'm back on Kingdom Come Deliverance. I loved it back on release, and now I have the various DLCs to blast through.

Motorsport was a huge letdown, especially compared to the superior FM7. They sucked the fun out of it, so understandably folks switched to Horizon again.

Multiplayer? Nah. Too many people there. With all due respect, I'm gaming to escape y'all.

It's a beautiful, but generic beast so far. I don't know what I was expecting, but it kinda fizzled for me.

Between Forza and the Dirt games, I'm happy. I couldn't get into Gran Turismo. It looks good, but the menus suck and it feels stale.

That was a difficult choice, but i had to go with Oblivion. They're all stellar (not you, 76) and Starfield's a strong contender - the only reason I didn't choose it is the fact I haven't finished it yet.

Red Dead hands down. It has better pacing throughout.

Does anyone happen to know why Spongebob Squarepants: Underpants Slam isn't available in the UK store?

@sonicbooming I really enjoyed it. The intro has the same wow factor that Bioshock Infinite had back in the day. It isn't perfect, but an enjoyable experience if you put the time into it.

Not for me. This generation was never a significant enough step up, and half the promises didn't materialise in the end.

No. I use my holidays for time with my wife and kid. I'm never in such a desperate hurry to play new releases, especially now it's around a year before they're complete/patched.
