I like it but the star of the show for Xbox features has definitely been quick resume. It’s totally changed my approach to gaming and, whenever I play my PS5, I miss it dearly.

@Fiendish-Beaver There are hundreds and hundreds of games coming out. I can’t even keep up with all the great games that have been coming to GamePass. (And yes, I do buy plenty of games, including Ready or Not just yesterday)

So I don’t mind about waiting two years for a game like this because I’m drowning as it is. And will be for the foreseeable future.

Could it be that the studio didn’t have enough resources to port it to all consoles at once? That sounds familiar. Probably just like No Rest for the Wicked that everyone is jumping on to say that Xbox is so over. Surely it can’t be something less sinister, right?

Studio is also almost bankrupt.

What is Microsoft going to say “makes sense for Xbox”? Release the game for it?

@DaveTheRave I was being sarcastic. Just saying that even Sony got rid of the digital movie selling business (except for the small Sony Core thing which only has their own studio’s movies). They clearly didn’t think it was profitable to keep around either.

Six more day one games. Three are already on PC and have “very positive” reviews on Steam. The other three are new to PC as well. Nice, especially considering we just got Tony Hawk 1+2 as well!

I honestly think it’s underrated. No it’s not a masterpiece but it’s far from being the joke that many make it out to be (and I suspect many of those people haven’t even touched the game).

I think it will sell well. I played it at launch on my PS5 but honestly, it eventually grew old. It’s a good game but do think it’s a tad overrated. But I still think Xbox is a better place for multiplayer games and it should be well received by the community.

@Kienda For me they’ve been killing it. I’ve loved Indiana Jones, South of Midnight, Avowed, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black (yes this was published by MS and wouldn’t have happened without them), Oblivion Remastered and even the latest COD (campaign was great for once).

And that’s not even all that MS has published in the last year!

Fine for you to not like them but to say Sony is “delivering” with one game when MS has not is utter BS.

Needs to be an option on the poll for “I already own it on PlayStation!”

@Kienda As far as games, Microsoft has more than delivered of late. In spite of the layoffs yesterday, they’ve had far more first party games than Sony in the past year and 40 more in the pipeline.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised. I truly believe the guy loves gaming and is probably just tired of all the corporate *****.

Only thing gaming wise I’m saddened about today is Perfect Dark. Really was looking forward to that but also obviously and more importantly my heart goes out to all those affected as well.

@Romans12 No crap. Where did I say there would be no Xbox layoffs? I didn’t. I just said that not all 9000 would be at Xbox.

Updated stories say MOST of the 9000 jobs cut today aren’t even coming from Gaming so people need to settle down and not act like this is all happening at Xbox. It isn’t.

OpenCritic has Clair Obscur #1 and that’s mine in addition to being one of my favorites of all-time.

Glad that High on Life is returning. I never finished it the first time and now with the sequel coming, I’m going to dig in (when I can squeak it in with the backlog).

It works well for me but have heard others with streaming issues. Would be nice if they were downloadable. Hopefully it improves so everyone has as good of an experience as I do.

@FraserG I think that would be an EA Play trial so that’s where they may be getting that one but if all those others are on the list, I will be ecstatic. Shadow Labyrinth and Ragebound are games I was planning to get day one. Hope I can just get them on GamePass!!!

Shadow Labyrinth and Ragebound are awesome surprises especially!!!

I personally have always preferred Revenge and it looks and plays wonderfully on my Series X. Also like it far more than Paradise. There’s yet to be a racer that’s given me the sense of speed it has. An all-time favorite!

Clair Obscur without a doubt. Not only my GoTY so far but probably my favorite game of all time. Just amazing in every way.

@itzlucas420 @DaPrince Maybe console doesn’t have “way more”. But if you scroll down this page on the Xbox site to see the full library on console and PC, there are 453 total games on PC and 495 on console.

The fact is that are more console GamePass games than PC right now. Pretty easily proven.

@Kaloudz I think Rare is very safe. Sea of Thieves is a big money maker and has done extraordinarily well on PS5. Grounded also did well and the sequel looks promising. I still wish they’d go back to some of their old properties, but even if their newer games aren’t for me, Rare is definitely still contributing well to the bottom line.

Against the Storm is fantastic and well worth at least giving a try on console. I’m anxious to see how well they did with the controls!

@Fiendish-Beaver I’ve honestly thought the opposite. There’s usually way more console games than PC ones on GamePass. I own both so doesn’t matter to me as much but I’m glad to see PC get a bit of love this time around.

Across the Storm is a great game and am interested to see how well it works on console.

Hard to believe but I’ve actually never played a World of Warcraft game. Don’t game too much on my laptop but think I’ll finally give one a try.

I’d be curious to know behind the scenes why the ABK games are being dripped out. Is there still some licensing involved? Is there pushback within Activision about dumping its entire library on GP? Or does MS just see benefit to a title here and there?

I know gamers originally expected a huge dump when the deal went through. Obviously didn’t happen.

@InterceptorAlpha Not sure where you’re getting that it’ll only be BC with PC versions of games. Sarah Bond said “maintaining compatibility with your existing library of Xbox games.”

If it were only games with PC versions, there would be hundreds of Xbox games gone from BC. And they wouldn’t be from “your” library if you owned them on Xbox. You’d have to buy them all over again. That’s not what she’s saying. And if she is then she better backtrack ASAP or have a lot of unhappy Xbox fans accusing them of outright lying.

Jez is an idiot. Not saying this particular rumor is true but I don’t trust a word that comes out of Cordon’s mouth. He’s arrogant and talks a big game but he’s wrong more often than not.

Whether or not this is true, Microsoft has taken by far the most consumer friendly approach to backwards compatibility of the big three. It’s one of the reasons I’ve stuck with Xbox.

I’m kind of disappointed TBH. I’m a big fan of Remedy, but this feels underbaked and not all that fun to me.

If they’re working with an emulator developer that may even suggest general backwards compatibility of the full catalog. Probably shouldn’t get my hopes up but that would be sweet!

I think Steam probably is the “multiple stores” with rumors already that they were working with them. Fingers crossed!

It would be a dream machine for me if it plays Steam games, Xbox games (including BC) and GamePass keeps trucking the way it is now. Anxious to hear more!

I love Remedy (Alan Wake 2 is one of my favorite games of all time). But even watching the trailers of this had me thinking this wasn’t going to be great.

I’ll still check it out but keep my expectations low.

Project Gotham sounds good. I also miss rally games like RalliSport Challenge. None of the other rally games like WRC have captured what those games used to feel like IMO.

All that said I’ll be happy with a great Forza Horizon game. How about finally giving us the Japan location many fans have been clamoring for? Maybe have some include nighttime races that play off the old NFS Underground series (that EA seemingly refuses to revive).

I’ve finished the prologue and part of Act 1 and am loving it so far. I’m not usually into base building/resource management but it’s made easier to do than most and the sci-fi storyline and “alters” themselves have me hooked.

I’ll wait until it’s $10 or less.

@LogicStrikesAgain There are rumors that the next PC-ish console will have Steam available on it. I think MS may try to make buying games from them with Play Anywhere more and more enticing (and they’re making a huge push for that even now) along with trying to get more GamePass subscribers.

I have my GamePass stacked for a while yet but, honestly, if the service continues to be as amazing as it’s been the last six months or so, I would be fine paying a few dollars more. The amount of and quality of day one games has just been incredible.

Also doesn’t seem like it’s going to slow down for the rest of the year. A lot to look forward to.

This game looked amazing and, yeah, give them all the time they need to cook and polish it. Could have the potential to be a classic when it releases.

Played some of the demo for this and it’s much more like Hades than the original. But still retains some nice twists with cards and the throwable die. It was fun and am looking forward to the full game!
