I actually bought the game (got a steep discount where I basically paid $15 for it) knowing there would be bugs. But I’m still having a blast with it. The races are even more like Burnout than any of their past games. The Sky tracks with loops, etc. are really fun.
I’m not big on the creation stuff but there’s an enormous amount of single player content.
Yes, it doesn’t look much better than an Xbox One game. And it’s definitely rough with some laughable bugs at times. But it has the thing I care about most — more Burnout.
It’s a damn shame this team doesn't have the big budgets to do these games justice but its even worse that they may not be able to work at all after this.
Routine looks awesome and can’t wait to finally play it. Dome Keeper and Death Howl might be good. And guess I’m finally see that the fuss is about with A Game About Digging a Hole.
Honestly I was surprised at how big of a deal it was on gaming sites. At one point there were like four or five stories about the 360 featured at the top of the Eurogamer site.
I loved the 360 and the anniversary is cool but not that big of a deal to me. Really the first Xbox’s anniversaries are a bigger deal to me since that was the whole start of the brand.
Anyway, my vote would have been getting some more BC games. 🙂
I honestly think they don’t want to put much more effort into the Series consoles as far as sales. Right now it’s all about GamePass and prepping for next gen.
It’s a great option. Know many people who game on both PC and Xbox and having to only purchase once is sweet. It’s not that important to me but it definitely is for others.
Kind of amazing how they righted the ship after laying an egg with 2042. Glad they’re back as I’ve always preferred Battlefield to CoD for multiplayer. (Usually CoD for the campaign, but not this year, lol)
There’s so little dialog in the game that it seems really overkill to discredit the entire game for it. And text-to-speech technology was used based on lines read by real actors. It’s not even generative AI. Regardless, we’re not talking about a big meaty 10,000 line role.
Anyway, I think the subject should have been broached in a separate opinion piece. Not in a review of how the game plays.
I’ve still got it stacked through June 2027. But honestly, if the games still stay as stacked as they are now, I’d probably still be sticking to Ultimate at $30 a month anyway. It’s been awesome this year. Let’s hope that continues!
@FrenchVaniIIuxe To play an incredible amount of games on GamePass like Ninja Gaiden 4 and Outer Worlds 2? Those are two $70 day one releases in one month and there were a bunch of other day one adds too.
If you don’t like GamePass, then go get your PS5, which also gives up its exclusives to PC and with Helldivers 2 going to Xbox, maybe even more.
Outside of Nintendo, there’s going to be fewer and fewer exclusives regardless of system.
@Fiendish-Beaver I think they’re just using Tik Tok as an example. They want to attract NEW gamers. People that spend more time watching movies or other forms of entertainment. That’s what they are saying is that there are so many different forms of entertainment competing for views. And they’d like to tap into some of that non-gamer market. I don’t see anything wrong with that.
Might have tried it if it was accessible through BF6. Afterall, I’m sure it’s using the same maps. But, yeah, no way I’m using another 100+ GB of space for this.
@Kezelpaso Completely unrelated but since you’re running the show here right now, have you seen that Pacific Drive was shadow dropped on Xbox today and is also on GamePass?
@TrevorP86 @Gabrie I also think if there really were hordes of people cancelling GamePass, they may have backtracked - at least partially. The fact that nothing has happened since the initial price increase announcement makes me think the damage wasn’t as huge as people were acting like it would be.
@IOI Lmao at the Xbox haters spinning this into a bigger story than it is. Devs can borrow kits FREE of charge from Microsoft. Don’t know much more clear it can be that this story is pretty much irrelevant.
This story appears to be misleading. There’s now stories coming out because devs called it out. Microsoft loans out dev kits for free to developers just like Sony. This is only if they wanted to outright buy one which would be the same case with Sony.
Anyway, another anti-Xbox story blown out of proportion with misleading information. MS supports devs with free loans of dev kits so this has no impact on the vast majority of devs.
Great line up. Don’t miss 1000xResist. It’s fantastic (89 on OpenCritic) and glad it’s now coming to Xbox let alone GamePass. Of course, Outer Worlds 2 is the big highlight. But Bounty Star looks like a great mech game and always up for that!
Ninja Gaiden 4 will suck up most of the oxygen for new games this week but Bounty Star sounds really good from the previews I’ve read. Totally overlooked it until I saw it’s coming to GamePass day one. That and NG4 are at the top of my list this week!
Interesting to see reviews ranging from perfect scores (even from Eurogamer no less, who is usually harder on games) to more middling. Love Double Fine though so I’m sure I’ll lean towards the former!
83 on OpenCritic is nothing to sneeze at overall either!
Got this on Switch and it is indeed excellent. But when I clicked on the link to the Windows Central and read “the hottest release of the season” in their subheading, I had to chuckle a bit. I mean it’s not like Battlefield 6 skipped Xbox.
@FatGuyInLilCoat @PsBoxSwitchOwner One of the pictures was already found to be from 2023. It was likely a store that was moving stock around. So, yes, even pictures can lie. Also both Walmart and Target have said the rumors are untrue.
Both Target and Walmart here have an Xbox section that looks the same as always. One of the original stories about this used a photo from 2023 (store was probably remodeling/moving stock around).
@Tdx As with everything, I’m sure it probably has to do with cost. They might have some artificial cost threshold for Premium that would keep some in the tier and others out. That said it still is odd.
Yeah, problem is that a lot of us (myself included) turned off recurring billing because of the price hike. If they had given people currently subbed a chance to turn it back on for the old price, that would have been nice.

Re: Total Chaos Gets Its First Official Review Following Surprise Xbox Game Pass Launch
Looked fantastic and right up my alley. Can’t wait to try this tonight!
Who needs the Black Friday sale when GamePass keeps pumping out these goodies on it?!?
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade November's Xbox Partner Preview Event?
Fantastic show. Looking forward to a lot of stuff in there!!!
Re: These 30+ Games Are At Their 'Lowest Price Ever' In The Xbox Black Friday Sale 2025
Maybe not as “big” as the others but Trine 5 is also at a new low of $10.49. Have had that on my wish list forever so finally bit!
Re: These 40+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (November 17-21)
Monsters are Coming looks pretty damn fun. Anxious to check that one out!

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7: Release Date, Launch Times & Download Size On Xbox Game Pass
So the New Zealand trick will work, huh? Well got to work during the day on Thursday anyway but will definitely check it out that night!
Think it’s going to end up playing second fiddle to Battlefield 6 though. Hoping for a good campaign at least.
Re: Poll: How Much Are You Enjoying Ninja Gaiden 4 On Xbox Game Pass?
As a fan of both Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden games, this is a marriage made in heaven for me. Really loving it!!!

Pretty nice line up already and they haven’t even officially announced the November games yet so there will likely be even more than what’s here.
Re: Poll: Which Was Your Favourite Xbox Game Pass Title From October 2025?
Ninja Gaiden 4 but Outer Worlds 2 a close second. That may change as I play OW2 longer.
Re: Lost In Random: The Eternal Die Gets Free 'Wager's Gauntlet' Update On Xbox Game Pass
This really is a great game that I haven’t given enough attention too. There’s just too many games to play!!!

Decided to bite knowing I’d want the expansions down the line. It’s fantastic so far. Combat, especially, feels so much better than the first game.

All I really want to know is if it’s the lowest price ever. Last 30 days isn’t very helpful if the game was cheaper 31 days ago.

@mikek2118 Sure Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 that are also out this

Ball X Pit is out today on GamePass Ultimate too. Been looking forward to that one!!!
Re: Battlefield 6 Boss: 'The Only Reason COD Exists Is Because EA Were D*cks'
