Kind of odd that the dev had the first game on GamePass and still decided to release the sequel on GP. So unless it was a multi-game contract, they still thought it was worth it to do a second time.

Also, I heard next to nothing about the sequel so they don’t seem to be doing well promoting their games. And that may factor into it. (As well as major releases like Oblivion remaster and Clair Obscur during the same time period)

Nice. Loved this game so will definitely check out the DLC.

I’ve played through half of the game on PlayStation and, while it’s not a bad game, the demo portion is the most exciting part of the game so far IMHO.

I’ve dropped it about six months ago and have yet to go back and finish it. But I do know a lot of others who really love the game so glad Xbox gamers can see for themselves.

@FraserG I have the iOS version (Apple Arcade) and love it.

I thought 7R would come out before XVI. But just good they’re finally coming because Xbox-only players deserve to play them.

And to be transparent, I played both of them on PS5. But haven’t finished XVI. It started out great but started to lose me half way through. I need to get back to it one day.

Hoping Grounded 2 is more focused on story than the first one. An epic campaign in that world would draw me in.

Other outlets seem to be interpreting the “return of a classic” as the Halo remaster. I tend to agree.

@Kaloudz He didn’t say remaster but he did say “return of a classic” so that’s why I was assuming it would be a remaster. Would have been nice to hear more about it either way.

@andrewsqual Honestly didn’t know you said any of that. But there were others who said they weren’t coming. Just because I said it doesn’t mean I was talking about you.

Pay attention to what I said and if you didn’t say it then you weren’t being referred to.

@BleedingDreamer Phil Spencer announced that the Halo remaster would be coming next year as part of the Xbox 25-year celebration.

A lot of people missed that he also said a new Forza (hopefully Horizon) would be coming next year. Along with Gears: E-Day and Fable.

So where are all the haters who said they were never coming to Xbox?!?

@TapeLoader FF 7 Remake is absolutely coming to Xbox. Nate the Hate, one of the most, if not the most reliable leaker around, said it’s definitely coming this year. And he’s not the only one who has said it. I have no doubts that it will.

Honestly it will be more of a shock to me if it isn’t announced tomorrow.

Played it on PS5. Good game but nothing as amazing as some made it out to be. Hope it runs better on Series X than it did on PS5. Frame rate drops were bad and even options to improve caused issues with delayed responses. Yeah, not great.

Space Marine, The Alters and Lost in Random day one releases make this half a month amazing for me. Looking forward to all of those. And will give Firebreak a try as a fan if Remedy.

@FraserG Interesting, they really didn’t use the “PlayStation exclusive” wording on anything. Thought Lumines would be multiplatform since the series has been on Xbox before.

I don’t think any game said PS exclusive in the whole show through. I think just the Marvel game and Nioh 3 will be.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner A lot of games said PS5 or PS5 and PC. But they’re multiplat. They aren’t going to say Xbox in their show (unlike Microsoft who will say PS5 now, lol).

Marvel probably will be console exclusive for PlayStation though since they are publishing.

Great game and glad it wasn’t lost forever.

All of these games either have excellent reviews or are highly anticipated day one releases.

Have additional announcements and the month is already stacked! Looking forward to Space Marine, Lost in Random and The Alters in particular.

I already own Symphonia and Crypt Custodian on Switch and they’re both excellent. Don’t let them pass you by.

@Kaloudz It has some spots that are a bit challenging to figure out but I always found the solution. Everything is doable with a bit of thought. I wouldn’t say it’s too difficult.

Strongly urge people to play both Symphonia, a brilliant platformer with a musical twist, and Crypt Custodian, a hack n slash in the vein of Death’s Door (one of my all time favorite indies so that comparison is high praise).

Being from the creator of Katamari Damacy, I’m not going to write this off as a throw away game. Looking forward to giving it a try!

How about celebrating by making an emulator on Series X/S that will allow us to play EVERY 360 game!

I don’t think it was free on all platforms. Wasn’t even brought up as a possibility on PlayStation. In any case, glad they finally got it fixed on Xbox.

Personally, I never, ever expected Atari games as part of backwards compatibility on my Xbox. Streaming may not be the optimal way to do this but there may be licensing issues or other things we aren’t even thinking about. It’s cool that they even are doing this at all.

We’ve gotten games like Expedition 33, Doom The Dark Ages and Oblivion Remastered. So now we’re given a nice little bonus and, yet, people have to complain about it? Welp, that’s the Internet for you.

If the ONLY way to make a game backwards compatible is through streaming due to legal issues, etc. it’s better than nothing at all. Say a game like Blur can’t be given BC because of music licenses. But it would be okay to stream. Wouldn’t it be better to have that option than nothing at all?

@carlos82 That’s a shame. It must depend on where you are in relation to their server’s or something because I just had the opposite experience. Ran nice and smooth and little to no lag. Nice to have these to relive some memories!

Maybe it does depend on where you are in relation to the servers but tried tonight and worked perfectly for me. No lag. No stuttering. Played wonderfully for me. Great addition!

@Fishticon Surprised to read that. I’ve had Antstream in the past as well and it worked beautifully for me.

@GeeForce I may be wrong on the technology part but I’ve played Antstream before and it always felt like I was playing it locally. No lag. Where GamePass or PlayStation streaming of newer games was inconsistent. It was a big difference IMO.

Don’t let streaming keep you from checking this out. We are talking such small games that they take almost no bandwidth. I’ve played games on Antstream and can’t tell the difference between streaming and if they were downloaded. It’s much different than streaming games that were made this gen.

Been looking forward to Monster Train 2, another great day one add. Metaphor, Symphonia and Crypt Custodian are all fantastic games. Nice adds!

Indiana Jones is my favorite but that, South of Midnight, Avowed and Doom would all be at least a 9 for me. Great group of games!

For me, I was playing it then Expedition 33 took over. I’ll get back to it though.

I’m absolutely loving it so far. Expedition 33 is still my GoTY at this point (and one of my favorite games of all time). But this is a nice counterbalance when I just want to blow some ***** up. I actually like the changes to the combat. I thought Eternal was getting a bit too fast paced for me.

@Ricky-Spanish But their next game may be something completely different and since they said they’ll control it 100%, it probably will be a different IP that Sony will have no say in where it goes.

I still need to get back to the original. Too many games!

The funny thing is that it’s going to take me the rest of the year just to finish the bangers from the first six months!
