@Ocat Trouble is that some 30fps games can literally make people sick.

I only get it mildly but by the time I got out of the cave I was already had a headache, but for those that get it bad the problem is real.

Looking forward to this. Hope this comes complete and doesn't turn into a microtransation hellscape.

Usually we pay less for early access because the games aren't finished, not more.

Gears 5 I found pretty boring, but I'd still prefer them making a good linear game though.

@ZuneTattooGuy I may even go to the 900Mbps package next time my renewal comes up if the prices are right. Totally overkill but I can lord it over my friends in villages who are stuck without fibre

@AnonymousJ Unfortunately the decision to bin the S should have been taken before it was released, now it's a large chunk of their playerbase.

They have the money to buy them all back, but just imagine that chaos

@ZuneTattooGuy I don't think you're understanding. I've got 400 meg fibre and games download in a few minutes so why would I use Cloud? Cloud still runs nasty. I bought the S for the kids to use when I'm on Series X.

If the cloud works fine at your house then I suppose everyone else's is perfect too.

@ZuneTattooGuy Yeah would be good if they could enhance processing on the S with cloud. I wouldn't want it play the whole thing through Gamepass Streaming as that runs like junk on my connection 😞

@GunValkyria I'd say it's more like you paid for a economy ticket on the same plane but find out afterwards your economy ticket doesn't include the whole flight

The trouble is MS sold the SS as having feature parity. I'm not saying it would happen but if MS says SS support is optional then that opens a whole can of worms.

I try the GP streaming occasionally to see if it's got better but there isn't a use model for me.

I have 400Mbps fibre and do most of my gaming on a decent PC but also have consoles. I tend to focus on 1 or 2 games at a time. Games download so fast that streaming games at a downgraded quality just doesn't make sense.

@evan23 I guess they wouldn't have known about a $400 PS5 Slim at the time they priced it.

It'll be fine at 30fps until you need to shoot something. That's when things start to feel bad.

Yeah, it's not much effort to hit menu and quit when you end a play session but you shouldn't have to.

And it's great that it always works for you, but it doesn't always work for everyone.

1000s of people have said it before but they really should have followed the Netflix route. Small monthly fee, get all games included, burn through money building service until they can raise subscriber numbers & profit quite a few years down the line.

Yes, it would be an expensive risk but it was DOA with this model and lack of attention span.

I was hyped originally, I pre-ordered the kit and then cancelled once I heard about how the game purchasing worked. Later they sent me a free controller and Chromecast, I tried Destiny 2 a couple of times to see if it would work. It seemed fine but I've got a XSX and PS5 so it didn't seem to offer anything.

@UltimateOtaku91 in No Man's Sky all the universe is the same for everyone I believe. The whole thing is mostly built by procedural generation but once done it's the same for everyone. I'm not sure if that's how Starfield works but it might be.

Redfall didn't look like something I'd like but Starfield looks good, probably check out the Rick and Morty game as free.

Diablo for me. I'm a bit concerned about Microsoft scooping up all the big games and making them exclusive but at the same time I do like gamepass.
Under the Act/Bliz it looked like Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 were totally dead, maybe Microsoft can actually get the games back on track, or at least I hope so.

@Fenbops The main issue with the UI being in 1080p is some TVs flicker as they change modes from the game back to the UI. Otherwise it looks good enough really.

@Asthmalxrd Same for me. 50 up and down. GeForce streaming works absolutely fine but the XCloud is very pixelated and with really bad latency.

I'm hoping it's just the rollout of SX hardware that's not hit my region yet.

If you have friends to play with this is such a great game. We've spent hours just mucking around in the hub area between missions.

@InterceptorAlpha I have the FPS counter up and I've never noticed a drop. Are you running off the internal SSD?

Loading times are slower if you've got buddies in with Xbones but even then aren't that bad.

Let's hope they can fix it with software as it's a bit concerning it's taken this long.

@StonyKL it happens when the console is already on. You get a flashing light on controller and any others you have also can't be used, wired or otherwise.

The only thing that fixes is taking cable out of back, a restart or normal full shutdown doesn't work.

I can trigger the problem by walking out of range with my wireless headset on but it happens occasionally for no apparent reason.

Looking forward to the new UI, the current one is bad.
