Yeah i skipped last gen due to ditching Xbox because of the dreadful start and what MS had planned. As the Series S was cheap, Gamepass is great and there's a number of games i missed last gen Xbox wise i decided last year was a good time to jump back in, its also nice having access to games like Fallout 3 and Red Dead Redemption as well.

So bought Asura's Wrath and the DLC that was on offer but when i tried to get the Episode Pack that contains the "true ending" it won't let me buy it and i keep getting an error page, from my understanding the DLC i bought on offer is not the same as the DLC in the pack so i'm very confused as to why i can't buy it despite it giving me the option.

I'm surprised MS haven't dropped Gold, make online free and focus purely on Gamepass. Granted yes more money this way with Gold but it would make fantastic PR and give them another huge win over Plus.

@InterceptorAlpha Origins doesn't have MTX though.

I bought TimeSplitters 2, such a fantastic game even today.

Can't they leave MCC alone and just focus on improving Infinite? This is just a way to keep milking the fanbase dry, MS are just as guilty as they sign off on this.

Yeah got lucky and was giving £4, bought ReCore as it was on offer.

Can't see ray tracing hitting Series S but a nice stable 1080p 60fps will suit me just fine. After GT7 being a letdown i'm itching to go back to my favourite "racing sim" series.

I know people generally prefer New Vagas but for me Fallout 3 is king, i've actually been replaying it this week and its so good. It was actually one of my first 360 games and i remember getting so hyped about it.

I use it for the Indies, AAA games i buy on my PS5 so Gamepass value for me is the various Indies on there.

@PapaGlitch 120hz is on PS5, it was a big selling point of the recent Uncharted collection as it could do 120fps. In fact i'm pretty sure it was there at launch as DMC V on PS5 has a 120fps mode and that was a launch title.

Yeah its easily the peak of From, it feels like everything was leading to this and damn From know how to create an incredible open world. I know its early but i can see it easily being my GOTY.

Hope they improve the Arcade targets as so far its been rather poor.

@LtSarge The last GT game to have stunning graphics was GT4, Forza just got better each entry.

Both games look amazing but Forza has the edge as it always does, Forza is just a visual masterpiece at this point no matter which version. GT7 so far has been great for me but i do think Forza surpassed GT back on 360 to be honest.

Everybody wins then? PS still gets COD and COD is now on Gamepass, suits me as i ain't buying COD so Gamepass for them and then Diablo 4 hopefully for PS5.

I just mute people online if i can but yes its terrible this still happens. Once upon a time gaming was looked at as a hobby for "sweaty nerdy basement dwelling men" but nowadays everyone plays them so why be against it? Having people like Henry Cavill and Brie Larson be very open with their love for gaming helps break down that stereotype image we all hate, of course irony is those morons verbally abusing that girl are most likely that incel image some still have of gamers. We have a girl here playing Halo and gaming that's awesome so be happy instead of gatekeeping and being salty you haven't been laid yet haha.

Seeing GTA there is pretty sad even if i'm mostly ok with the PS5 version. Who would have thought EA would have put out a far better and more feature complete remaster collection then R* this year.

@Apkorv So what if its "doing nothing new" its a racing game set in the open world so other then a new world and some new cars it never need to do any drastic changes.

Not my GOTY but its a worthy winner and one of the best games this year.

Between Odyssey, Unity and Black Flag for me. Unity is highly underrated and for me nails the classic formula with a beautiful massive city, good combat and the best parkour system in the series (and its not even close).

My favourite one is when one killed me and just shouted "I did it, i did it, i did it, i did it".

@BlueOcean I have issues myself with how Nintendo sells Smash, i think it needs a MK11 Ultimate type version as going in new would cost you well over a £100 for everything however though i don't have an issue with the fighters costing because well i bet its cost Nintendo a lot to get these characters and music for the game, Sora for instance wasn't just a quick phone call to Disney and SE and done. In a game what launched with over 70 characters, countless stages and enough music to last you well over 24 hours i fail to see an issue with charging for DLC characters.

@themightyant They are lucky the gameplay is just so damn good and the campaign is excellent, i feel if the MP was meh and the campaign poor it would have killed the game.

Well that's gross. Also i can't stand the Metaverse term and its not even really used right either by these Corps.

Oh boy the future is grim, last gen was the rise of MTX and lootboxes and this Gen will be NFT's.

@Fenbops When i got my Series S earlier this year i was floored at how bad it is in their 1st party games like Gears and such, its a reason i'm so hard on MS compared to Sony and Nintendo. MS do a ton right like Gamepass, free upgrades and such but monetisation wise they are one of the worst in "AAA" gaming.

Swat is so fun and really makes you work, easily my go to mode now.

@Fenbops MS are more like the likes of EA and Activision then people like to admit, remember MS was the one what started the idea of charging for online play.

@PhileasFragg 343 are funded by MS and MS make a ton of money of Gamepass and anyone who buys Halo Infinite, most of the money this game makes from MTX goes straight into higher ups pockets and shareholders. Just because a game is F2P doesn't mean you can charge whatever for MTX.

End of the day the reason the MP is F2P is because MS/343 wanted excuses like this for over-priced MTX so they could get more and more money from "whales". I will remind you the game has a Battle Pass, the money made from that alone could fund the game easily so yeah they could easily charge $10 for a shader and emblem and ben fine.

@MaccaMUFC I think the open world being small is quite refreshing to be honest, sure it could be bigger but the game isn't structured like AC, BotW or GTA so a big map wouldn't do it any favours unless 343 designed it to take advantage of a big map.

@Chaudy I'm subbed to Gamepass, it was a great way of catching up on all the X1 games i missed last gen and its also a great way of trying games i might not normally buy due to not knowing much about them, with XCloud its even better as i don't need to download them to try them as i can play for an hour and if i like it i will download it or buy it, its also how i'm currently playing Forza Horizon 5 as i plan on buying it when the version what comes with the season pass or whatever they named is on offer. So yeah i get and love what Gamepass offers but for many people they aren't bothered if they have to buy games, if Gamepass was this be all and end all service then the PS5 would be struggling but as it is its "winning" and clearly by a lot considering scalpers are charging way more for them, clearly owning games is still what the majority prefer, i mean look at last year and how the Switch dominated lockdown as everyone wanted Animal Crossing and Mario Kart.

@Chaudy Believe it or not that's how people played games prior to Gamepass, you remind me of the Netflix generation who struggle to understand the concept of actually buying and owning a film. I'm subbed to Gamepass but i actually still buy the games i really like or really want to play like Halo Infinite because i like owning my games in some form.

This is the one thing i like most about Phil and that is he himself plays games, the likes of Jim Ryan and Kotick clearly don't play them but Phil does and its why i think he gets things more from a consumer POV.

Also the Halo Infinite is easily a contender for best game this year and best Halo game, the campaign is amazing and i'm in love with the grappling hook.

@JetmanUK I mean look i think the PS5 upgrade for GoT should have been free, the Expansion should have been the thing what cost for obvious reasons and i think Death Stranding should have at least giving the PS4 a 60fps patch, i also think Uncharted 4 should offer more considering the price but i get why Spider-Man and Death Stranding DC were charging money as they either offered a full extensive remaster or added a ton of new content. Its worth noting though GoT on PS4 has a free 60fps patch as does God of War, TLoUP2, Ratchet and Clank and Horizon Zero Dawn (what plays lovely in 60fps) so its not like Sony haven't giving out some form of upgrades to PS4 games its just actual PS5 versions tend to have a cost. As i said the Xbox enhanced games aren't really Series S/X versions but more X1 versions with 60/120fps enabled and 4K added, there's no real remaster or added content, that's not a dig at MS though and i love smart delivery and how consumer friendly MS are with it its just i feel there's a bit more to what Sony are doing what people aren't seeing or ignoring.

By the way i'm not trying to act all fanboy with Sony here, they are doing many things i'm not happy with like the $70 price tag its just i feel the whole upgrade thing is a bit overblown.

Enter The Matrix is and always was a very bad game what we accepted because its all we had , once The Path of Neo came out it made ETM redundant because why play as Will Smith's wife when i can play as Jesus himself in all the classic moments and more from the films.

The fact ETM is higher so far just shows people are blinded by nostalgia and never played the far far better game. Like seriously how could anyone put ETM over The Path of Neo, its like putting the Jeremy Renner Bourne film over the Matt Damon ones.

@JetmanUK To be fair PS3 games can't physically run on PS4 and PS5 consoles and making them able to run could cause more trouble then its worth. Ultimately though it never mattered as PS is still the console people want going by sales. I will give you the upgrade thing but its worth noting MS has never offered more then a framerate increase and 4K while Sony usually offer that plus new content or a more extensive remaster, its easy to big up MS with their upgrades but then they are so bare bones MS could never get away for charging for it.

Such an epic takedown from Sony even if Sony nowadays seem to be the other guy. You know its funny i will always believe Sony had the exact same plans as MS but played the long game in seeing how people would react to what MS had planned, both MS and Sony must be somewhat aware what the other has planned and i can imagine MS were confident it would work because Sony were doing the same but of course it backfired hard and i reckon Sony very quickly changed tact knowing full well what a blow it would cause MS. Sony left as heroes and the PS4 dominated the X1 brutally, even now Xbox still feels it even if Xbox is in a better state then it was.

His vision killed my love for Xbox and sent me back to PS, its only in recent years i've started to like Xbox again with this year with me getting a Series S. I still think that vision damaged Xbox beyond repair, i don't think they will ever reach the highs of 360 again sadly.

He most likely saw the type of footage we were being shown before launch, said he loved what he saw and CDPR lied said he played and loved it. From my understanding while Reeves respects games and loves what they can do he himself doesn't play games.

I suspect its coming to Xbox, it seems whatever thing they had with Sony is over now so i see no reason it won't be on Xbox. I can't say i care for the game beyond the SW IP, i loved Heavy Rain back in the day but really disliked on replay on the PS4 and i didn't care for the games they made as well.

Sounds great and despite my issues with 343 and the whole F2P structure i'm glad they are listening and acting.

@Alpha_Pulse Don't get me wrong i do like Phil and he turned Xbox around but i just wish he would drop the PR and give some actual substance in his comments.

Really hope they don't ruin the message and themes of the first game by going big and "AAA". That said it looks fantastic.

@Royalblues Are people incapable of reading? I don't care that Bethesda games are now Xbox/PC only what bothers me is Phil keeps saying he doesn't believe in something while he keeps on doing it, he can't say he doesn't believe in console wars when he bought Bethesda and made all its future games Xbox/PC only, yeah i get why and if i was him i would make them Xbox/PC only as well but i wouldn't go and contradict myself by saying i don't believe in exclusives and console wars after. Jim Ryan and Nintendo don't do interviews like this, you don't see Jim saying he doesn't believe in console wars and exclusives. Phil is a PR machine, he never stops being in PR mode even when he's clearly lying and being a hypocrite, he's liked because he's likeable and doesn't feel like a robot like others but he's still full of bullsh*t like all the others.
