Hell you even had to give yourself that get out clause with they will only do it with inflation what contradicts the whole they won't price hike GP, if you have to add an "except" that pretty much means the first part of your comments is void because you are admitting they will price hike what they did the next day.

Yet there's entire conferences who the likes of Sony, MS, Activision and such attend that teaches them how to make people think they have a gun to their head. Its easy for people like you or me to resist if we want too but someone with addictions? People who feel FOMO hard? People who feel peer pressure? People with ODCD? People with certain types of autism? Yeah that gun to head is there for them and the mighty Sony and MS are explicitly after them not you. Its ignorant to think everyone has a choice when a subset of people can't see a choice.

@NeoRatt Yeah won't somebody think of the poor trillion dollar corp who is currently spending 70B on another gaming corp, they're really struggling here and need all the money they can get.

Dude between season passes, MTX, DLC and such MS, Sony and all the others never needed to up the price to $70, they done it because they knew they could get away with it and not because they needed too. Gamepass could never see a price hike and nothing would change for MS and its staff, that extra cost they're adding will not go towards its workers it will go in the pockets of snakes like Phil who know its playerbase have no choice but to pay it.

@Kaloudz Inflation my ass, MS don't need to do this at all and its not like Switch Online and Plus have seen price hikes recently so this is MS just wanting more money and nothing more.

@NEStalgia Dude that'a not how this stuff works. Jim is not acting rogue here this is a move he has to make just like Phil would if Sony were the ones buying them. Jesus Jim would lose his job if he just happily let MS do this. Sony are keeping quiet because unlike Phil they don't really do social media or endless interviews talking BS.

@Kaloudz Imagine believing a single world MS (or any corp) says, Phil lies all the time. Yeah Gamepass only exclusives will happen, notice how Disney, Amazon and Netflix (though they used too) don't release their stuff on DVD? MS will take it slow with an exclusive GP only Indie here and there and once users are used to it then Halo 7 is now Gamepass only. As for MTX and battle passes being optional? Technically yes but let's not pretend they aren't forced on you, after all there's entire conferences teaching gaming corps and devs how to exploit players into buying this stuff and becoming whales and MS jumped on that train as early as forcing a price on horse armour because yeah from what i've read that was more MS then Bethesda with that choice.

@Zoidpilot4 Because large super corporations swallowing another one whole is really not good for anyone but them. Kids and fanboys on the internet can be happy in the short run because COD will be on Gamepass but that comes at a cost meaning price hikes, more MTX and battle passes, Gamepass exclusive games (oh that will happen) and more. I won't go deep into my opinion as you don't want it but i will just say this gen is going for MS as i predicted and if this Gen ends as i predict then oh boy Xbox users are going to lose harder then anyone, i mean just look at Sega. MS are preparing for a future and i don't think its a future that has Xbox as we know it in it, Phil's interview not long back gave more fuel to my prediction as well. So yeah deals like this do more harm for us then good.

Just look at LucasFilm and how far they're falling since Disney tainted them. Yes the money is being made but no one is truly happen with what Disney put out with them. Look at Marvel and how far its falling since Endgame, Disney played a big role in that. Point is a Corp having too much is never a good thing and Disney is proof of that.

@NEStalgia You understand right that if Sony were buying Activision then Phil would be everything Jim has and is doing? If Jim let this happen it would look so bad his and Sony's end, he's got no choice but to fight this just like Phil if the roles were reversed.

Hopefully MS lose that can then send a message that this very unhealthy acquisition heavy time period really needs to end.

@JaffeGaffe Not really. Many of the big hitters this year have performed better on PS5 while getting better resolutions on Series X, end of the day PS5 is usually the lead platform so it makes sense plus its very Dev friendly more so then Series. Don't why you're bringing up 30fps as every PS5 title this year is 60fps, let me guess you're a last gen or Series S only player?

@Jark The 40fps mode that Sony love offering is limited to 120hz displays only as it would feel and play terrible on 60hz screens. Digital Foundry have nicely explained it all in the past. As for uncapped framerate yeah i'm glad its locked at 30fps, i would have a locked 30 then a framerate constantly all over the place.

With a game of this scale and scope i'm not shocked its 30fps, i do think a 1080p60fps update might hit the Series X next year though but i suppose we will see. Either way i don't care as it looks incredible and has shot to the top of my most wanted game of the rest of 2023.

Shame but as long as the game sticks to that i can put up with it especially as the games scale is beyond massive.

I'm beyond hyped, this is my dream game and its like the perfect combo of Elder Scrolls, No Man's Sky and Mass Effect. This is everything i wanted and more, i really can't wait to buy and play this.

Highly impressed and easily the best gaming showcase this year.

Basically a Clockwork Bioshock and that's enough to get me excited.

While i loved Flight Sim the lack of real goals had me fall off sooner then i would have liked, this looks to solve that.

Anyone find Keanu's voice off? Audio seemed weird.

Anyway yeah it looks fantastic.

Jaw dropping visuals and i love the change in style, still feels like Fable but different in a good kind of way.

Those visuals are insane and i'm very tempted to upgrade to a Series X just for this as i loved the first game.

Very excited for this, i reckon it could be one of the big hitters of next year.

Despite wanting the deal blocked i do admit the reason for them blocking it was weird. Honestly i don't care anymore as i'm sick and tired of it all, after Phil's interview i don't have much hope for Xbox's future so sure buy Activision it won't matter anyway.

I get why MS did it but end of the day it relies on games not being delayed. That said i would rather that then announcing games that are years away.

@Sveakungen If they want to throw a massive market away then yeah ditch the UK because of spite. MS won't abandon the UK as the market is way too big.

After Redfall and Phil's interview i'm surprised people are still supporting this deal.

I don't enough to say really. I do think it relies heavily on what the US and Europe says though.

The entire collection is already at 4K/60fps on Series X so unless its on the scale of the Gears 1 remake i don't see the point.

Don't hate it and its fun enough but its mediocre at best and i'm very glad i'm playing it through GP. As a big AAA 1st party release MS needs to do far better.

@Tasuki I can imagine a FPS counter is way easier and less taxing then splitscreen co-op.

If Starfield fails (god i hope not) and the Activision deal fails i think Phil is gone. He's all talk and PR but never actually delivers, yes he gave us Gamepass but even that is starting to show its downsides now i feel.

Been reading his interviews all day and jesus christ its depressing. I wouldn't be shocked if Gamepass and MS go 3rd party after this Gen and MS goes the Sega route as Xbox feels like its at its end.

@TheSimulator Dropping this on Halloween would have done wonders for it. It would be in a better state, would be 60fps and the timing would mean way more would check it out looking for a "horror" fix.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner Either way the game we got was always the intended result. This isn't like Jedi a great game let down by a dreadful technical state this a mediocre game that has a dreadful technical state on top of it.

Honestly i can't blame MS on this, the game was already being made when MS bought Bethesda and i'm guessing it would have come out the same even if MS never bought them.

Good job its on Gamepass as i feel this would be dead on arrival otherwise.

The games a mess. Had 3 crashes within half hour yesterday with one costing me around 10 mins of progress. Its a shame as the games great its just a technical mess and should have been delayed. I would argue its not far behind the state Cyberpunk launched at.
