@FenIsMightier MS has also been doing 3rd party exclusives as well, in fact its gone harder on them then Sony. Last week even saw a timed 3rd party release on Xbox.

Well Japan doesn't like things not Japanese, there's nothing MS can do about Japan as they will always side with PS and whatever Nintendo console is out.

@Stoned_Patrol The fact MS just has studios dedicated to one series really shows how little they cared last gen. Say what you will about Sony but they let their Devs takes chances hence how we got Horizon, Ghost, Days Gone and such last gen. Also fun fact a Sony studio didn't make Spider-Man as Insomniac weren't owned by Sony when they made SM, in fact MS if they took Marvel's offer could have also had Insomniac make it. So congrats you defeated your own points.

@Sebatrox That's your opinion just like many others and as well as mine think Ragnarok was GOTY worthy.

@Romans12 Starfield will be fantastic and up there with the best this year but it won't be getting Elden Ring levels of praise with the only game this year standing a chance of that type of acclaim being Zelda, Starfield end of the day is still a Creation Engine game. As for Spider-Man 2 well if its as good as the last two entries its going to be one of the highlights of this year and Gen, if the rumored Sep release is true then Sep is one hell of a month for gamers. Honestly PS, Xbox and Switch players are all eating well this year.

Cool i guess but i have no interest in impacting framerate for it.

@NeoRatt Considering how many live service games are shutting down right down i feel pretty uneasy paying a premium price for an always online game. Redfall is on Gamepass so until the offline mode gets maybe released i shell play it from that.

@GuyinPA75 Fun fact Marvel approached MS first about making a SM game but MS turned them down, Sony weirdly were the 2nd choice.

@trev666 One of the most overrated games in years. Like sure its not a bad game but its certainly a massive step down from Dishonoured and Prey.

Like others i'm really enjoying S3, the new maps and modes are really good and the free armour stuff they're handing out is pretty sweet.

More live service rubbish so i'm skipping this. Would rather it was another Dino Crisis game

@InterceptorAlpha I mean it is and one look at the Steam reviews says a lot, in fact its very hard to find anything negative about it. You can have your opinion as well but don't confuse it with everyone else's.

Also being in the Steam top 20 or not doesn't mean much to a games quality. No Man's Sky is considered one of the best space games, The Forest is considered another one of the best survival games, God of War is considered one of the best action games, Titanfall 2 is considered one of the best shooters and are any of them in the top 20? By your logic Avatar 2 is the best film of 2022 because its no 1.

@InterceptorAlpha Valheim is a great game though and has a huge following on PC, its also regarded as one of the best survival games out there.

I'm loving it so much i plan on buying it next week. Been taking it slow though and have been mainly working on my home what overlooks a beautiful lake.

Been playing all night on Performance Mode on my Series S. The visuals are nice art design wise but its a tad blurry most likely i guess due a lower resolution but performance has been fine. The game itself though is really fun, i only went on to try it for half hour but ended up playing the entire night.

@Romans12 Well the last patch broke performance mode by making it drop often, Digital Foundry covered it.

Halo Reach for me. Best campaign, best MP and Firefight is incredible in it.

@Sol4ris There is exclusivity deals but they are meant to be timed. As for Forspoken poor example as its running on a different engine (an engine about to be retired) and has a completely different Dev team (who are about to be no more). FF16 and FF7 Remake 2 are running on Unreal 5 i think so both are leagues ahead of Forspoken. Either way though you haven't made a point because if Forspoken runs bad on PC and PS5 then naturally if ported to Series S its going to run bad on that most likely far worse.

End of the day Series S has been getting questionible ports lately. Baldur's Gate 3 will skip Xbox if the Devs can't get split screen running on SS and that's because of MS not allowing Series X only games a restriction that could really bite them as this Gen goes on. The Series S is a neat console but maybe MS should have giving it more then it has power wise.

@BrilliantBill Yeah i love my Series S but there's a reason its only used for 1st party stuff or games i can't get elsewhere. I fear for the future with 3rd party stuff as it seems its already starting to be pushed. Hopefully Starfield looks and runs well on it.

Its been a great update. I even dropped money on the new pack that grants some cool cosmetics for the MK7 armour and the new armour set.

One of the reasons i think FF16 and FF7 Remake games will never hit Xbox is because of the Series S. Look i love my Series S and its a great 3rd console but its becoming more clear its struggling with the latest games, we may find PS5 and PC get "exclusive" access purely because the Devs don't want or can't deal with the Series S requirement.

Looks really cool and i shell certainly use it.

@Stoned_Patrol To be fair Xbox players do tend to have this mentally of "wait for Gamepass" or "will only play if its on Gamepass". Its not a bad thing and the other guy was out of line with his insult but the image of Xbox players only caring about a game if its on Gamepass is sadly becoming a thing.

@pip_muzz Do you want me to list the timed deals MS are doing or have done? Also if MS had not bought Bethesda then this year the only exclusive from MS would be another Forza game so is the issue Sony doing timed deals or MS studios themselves not making games.

This is why Sony doing what they're doing is good as its forcing deals like this to happen.

Elden Ring has what 17M sales now? It would be a lot lower if it went on Gamepass day 1. I love Gamepass but in the long run i think its going to do more harm then good. Look at Hogwarts that's going to be the biggest game this year so a Day 1 release on Gamepass would harm those sales. Gamepass is a concerning future especially once those Gamepass only games no doubt appear and big price hikes.

Yet they will happily spend nearly 70B on Activision.

@Sol4ris So its fine when its timed on Xbox then? Worth noting FF16 and the upcoming FF7R sequel are built around tech the Series consoles lack though i will admit that's most likely PR from Square.

Sony yeah are clearly taking actions but they don't make it public, the only time Jim made a statement was when he was calling out Phil's BS about his offer of CoD staying on PS for many years when it fact it was just 3 years.

@Banjo- Sony have been pretty quiet actually, its Phil and Bobby what are making this more public with with their constant public comments. End of the day Sony are doing the same thing MS would do if it was Sony buying them and not MS. As many have pointed out it would be pretty bad if Sony just rolled over and said yeah go ahead MS do what you want. Ideally MS loses and it then leads to Sony finding it impossible to buy SE, these constant mergers are not good for gaming in the long run.

@cragis0001 They didn't enter and have the nerve to think they could buy Nintendo nor did they try to buy SquareSoft, EA and so on. MS with gaming have always half arsed it and think a powerful console solves it all, they entered it but just wanted everyone else doing their work for them and they are the same now when MS key aim is to buy games not create them. This year the Xbox's biggest releases are Forza, Redfall and Starfield but two of them are only 1st party because Bethesda were bought by MS and if they weren't it would mean another bad year for Xbox with MS relying on Forza as ever as SF and Redfall would be on PS consoles as well. MS own all these studios yet all we're seeing is the same stuff or niche smaller stuff. Sony aren't perfect far from it but right from the off they never half arsed it, they took it seriously and invested in games and Devs and its led to where they are now where a new 1st party game from them is treated like a gaming event.

I love my Series S and play most days and last week i bought every Splinter Cell game as i really wanted to replay them and that's something i can't do on PS due how awful Sony are with letting you play older games so yeah i support Xbox as it offers a lot of great stuff over PS but MS? They're scum and up there with Google, Apple, Disney and Tencent, they are not a nice company and i just laugh at how much Xbox fanboys bend over for them.
