Re: Activision Blizzard Criticises UK Verdict As Microsoft Takeover Gets Declined

WallyWest

@Titntin Here's the thing if the deal doesn't happen like you say Activision are not going to say up yours to Sony because like it or not the PS5 is far bigger then Xbox. Its why i feel Sony have gone very hard on this because they can't really lose as if MS lose they still get COD and if MS win they still get COD. Sony can say and do whatever because ultimately they know MS need Sony to keep the COD train going and making regulators happy. Bobby's threats mean nothing and if he did act on them he will be booted out for killing COD and costing them billions.

Re: Poll: Are You Still Excited For Redfall To Hit Xbox Game Pass Next Week?

WallyWest

@Green-Bandit Just remember Bloomberg reported the Switch Pro was a thing. Honestly i don't believe leaks and rumours on consoles because 9/10 they don't plan out. This talk of PS5/Series X struggling just doesn't make sense when almost nothing has pushed them even a little bit, FF16 is meant to be a power house of a game but a game that never even scratched the limits of the PS5. Gotham Knights and A Plague Tale being 30fps was a Dev issue not console issue. You're acting like U5 is this impossible engine beyond current gen despite only Fortnite and a Tech Demo actually being out for us to see and play, both ran really well and looked fantastic. If we heard current gen consoles were struggling with it then it would be different but its the opposite as everyone is jumping on it because its easy to use and was designed to get the best from these consoles. End of the day we're nearly 3 years in this Gen but we have only just started moving away from last gen, there's little reason to think current gen is struggling. A $600 8K/120fps console with better RT is something PC's 3 times the price wish they could do.

Re: Poll: Are You Still Excited For Redfall To Hit Xbox Game Pass Next Week?

WallyWest

@Green-Bandit I don't belive these rumours. The PS5 is already a luxury console at a premium so a Pro is what $600-$700 a price that would kill it.

As for Unreal 5 well other then Fortnite that runs great on console and that Matrix tech demo we don't actually know how well it runs on consoles but we do know Epic made it with these consoles in mind.

Re: Poll: Are You Still Excited For Redfall To Hit Xbox Game Pass Next Week?

WallyWest

@Green-Bandit I doubt the Pro consoles are coming and the PS5/Series X have barely even shown what they're capable off. Redfall, Plague Tale and Gotham Knight not being 60fps is a Dev issue not console. I mean come on have you seen what FF16 is doing? That's beyond anything else this Gen and is the most "next gen" out there so far and that will have a 60fps option. Look at Forza this year it be 4K/60fps plus RT on top of that on Series X and then you Spider-Man 2 coming that if Ratchet and Clank is anything to go by will have a 60fps/RT mode and maybe a 120HZ mode. Jedi Survivor a current gen only game is also 60fps as well. Gotham Knights and Redfall are not demanding games and there's no reason they shouldn't be 60fps.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Exclusive Hi-Fi RUSH 'Didn't Make The Money It Needed To Make'

WallyWest

@Moonglow A service that MS avoid giving numbers out. When a company avoids giving out sales numbers to something they sell it means only one thing it ain't doing well, where's Sony and Nintendo love shouting about milestones in sales MS remain quiet and that's most likely because they have nothing to shout about.

My opinion? I think the Gamepass high is over and now the low is kicking in for MS and the Devs that take the GP offer.

Re: Why We're Excited For 'Ghostwire: Tokyo' To Hit Xbox Game Pass This Week

WallyWest

@NostromoXP Sony are doing what MS have been doing since the 360 era. MS have gone hard on timed releases for well over a decade yet its bad when Sony do it? If anything MS provoked Sony into it what with their aggressive uprise in timed games and acquisitions these past few years.

Honestly i'm sick of this hypocrisy with timed releases from Xbox fans. Its clearly a case of it being completely fine when MS do it but anti-consumer when Sony do it. Finally i doubt Deathloop and Ghostwire are what caused MS to buy Bethesda as MS were most likely eying them up long before the timed stuff began.

Re: Why We're Excited For 'Ghostwire: Tokyo' To Hit Xbox Game Pass This Week

WallyWest

@NostromoXP Yeah damn right as only MS should be allowed timed exclusives because being a trillion doller company with unlimited funds they're massive underdogs.

If this merger has proved anything its how hypocritical Xbox owners are. Sony getting Deadloop and Ghostwire as timed releases is bad but MS getting Stalker and Arc 2 isn't? By your logic Sony should buy the devs behinds those games to stop this from happening again.

Re: Microsoft Blocks Access To 'Retail Mode' Emulators On Xbox Series X|S

WallyWest

@Banjo- "Its legal but i'm using it for illegal means" That's basically what you're saying. Here's the thing emulators might be legal but almost everyone using them are using them for the illegal side to them. Its like Torrenting that's actually legal but everyone who does it is doing the illegal side hence why ISP's try to block the sites. I can imagine MS don't want its users pirating games easily on Xbox with it seemingly looking like MS don't care that they do.

Re: Arkane 'Very Proud' Of Lack Of Microtransactions In Redfall

WallyWest

@themightyant CoD, Halo and such make a killing in skins so yeah FPS or not skin MTX still sell well. People buy skins for the same reason we various clothes we don't need in real life and that is too stand out and not look like everyone else, humans are obsessed with vanity and being different and its why cosmetic MTX make more money then "pay to win" MTX.

Re: Xbox Begins Advertising 'Candy Crush Saga' As New Free-To-Play Release

WallyWest

@Banjo- What Starfield deal? Ok Sony done a timed deal on Ghostwire and Deathloop but MS done the same type of deals many times last gen as well they are just as guilty with them, hell even in the 360 era we had timed deals on big games for Xbox as well as DLC like the GTA IV expansions. Sony were and are only doing what MS have been doing since the start however Sony never merged with a company the size of Bethesda and then cancelled all upcoming PS5 releases like Redfall and Starfield and made all future releases exclusive. MS changed the game here not Sony, in fact Sony tends to copy MS a lot of the time from paid online to CoD deals (did you forget MS had timed CoD deals during the 360 days), to 3rd party deals and to the recent buying of Devs and companies like Bungie.

As i said when Sony do it its bad but when MS do it its fine.

Re: Xbox Begins Advertising 'Candy Crush Saga' As New Free-To-Play Release

WallyWest

@Kaloudz I don't think about MS when i play Halo or think about Disney when i watch an MCU film but when you go on the internet you tend to think about it more when you see articles and comments. I just it very bizarre to be honest how people defend and back Corps so happily when the Corps don't care about you, don't know you and don't even like you, its no different really to those who back and defend a creature like Elon Musk or any other big name Billionaire.

Re: Xbox Begins Advertising 'Candy Crush Saga' As New Free-To-Play Release

WallyWest

@Banjo- I agree Sony are far from perfect and i really dislike how they do upgrades, i know they backed down with Horizon 2 but it should have been the same with every cross gen release from them. I'm also concerned over them remaking newer games like TLoU and maybe Horizon, maybe if they were cheaper and done more i could excuse it but they aren't. As for 3rd party deals look i'm indifferent to them but the reason i call out MS for them is because they and the playerbase act like they don't do them when they very much do. Why is Deathloop being a 1 year timed release bad but the same deal for Stalker on Xbox fine? You get my point right? A lot of what Sony do MS also does i just wish people would admit that.

Re: Xbox Begins Advertising 'Candy Crush Saga' As New Free-To-Play Release

WallyWest

@Banjo- I'm not anti Xbox i just really don't like MS. The Xbox is great its why i own one but it doesn't mean i'm going to bend over for MS. You see shocker you can love the consoles but dislike the makers, its like with films as i love Marvel but despise Disney and love DC but don't like WB. Hell i don't even like Sony that much since Jimmy boy took over. Again though i just think long term with things and i know MS will show its true colours sooner or later.

Re: Xbox Begins Advertising 'Candy Crush Saga' As New Free-To-Play Release

WallyWest

@Kaloudz For starters i own a Xbox and i'm a Gamepass sub and its how i'm playing and loving Valheim right now but it doesn't mean i like MS and will bend over for them. I done the whole Xbox fanboy thing back in the 360 era and then that dreadful X1 reveal and E3 happened and my stupid illusion of them was shattered. We have all seen what MS does when they're top or near it and it wasn't pretty, right now sure MS are pretty decent because they have to be but remember Phil fully supported that grand vision of the X1 and was part of it and even now i see hints of that plan creeping in. MS want to own gaming they always have done, MS want to own as much as they can because that's who MS a very big powerful big bully of a Corp. Sooner or later we will feel the sting from MS again and it won't be good.

Re: Xbox Begins Advertising 'Candy Crush Saga' As New Free-To-Play Release

WallyWest

@Kaloudz Imagine wanting MS at the top in power, let me guess you're fine with Disney, Apple, Amazon, Tencent and Google being where they are? You must be because MS is off that breed of Corp as well. What MS is doing will benefit gamers only in the short run, when MS is top though we got that original X1 plan and MS ditching exclusives at the end of the 360's run that aren't their big 3. MS at top is actually really bad for gaming because they have more in common with the likes of EA and Activision then Sony and Nintendo ever have been. Being blunt anyone celebrating this deal is a corporate boot licker. Gaming is only getting darker it seems and sadly most of the Xbox playerbase is all for it because "Xbox and MS are angels and Gamepass is perfect".
