The tech in the PSVR2 is nice, but its launch line up was extremely lackluster. With GT7 being the best game on the headset by far, their are plenty of VR racing games already out that dont switch to flat 2D screens in the menus in between races. Call of the Mountain should have just been called Horizon:Climb the Mountain. N it just is no where near the quality of experince I was expecting for it being pretty much the only first party IP game in available at launch. For their VR scene to be blowing up as you said, they realllly should have shown off at least one first party VR game that is coming down the pipeline preferably before this holiday but really just a glimpse of anything so we know they are actually supporting this thing with their 1st party studios... not just bringing games over from the Quest 2 at a promised higher resolution but with a higher price as well. Not even having beat saber at launch... that just feels weird that it is missing. I could go on, but I think I made my point... PSVR2 Still has a ways to go
@Dezzy70 Well seeing as Xbox went from game Publisher of the Year in 2021 to having no games published at all besides Pentament in 2022... It is safe to say that you are not going to sell nearly as many video game consoles when you are not putting out any video games. This year will get Xbox back on track to where they want to be, consistently releasing high quality games. In turn the sales numbers will come back up and more likely than not be even higher (the chip shortage has just now started to go away so with new games and stock being available)
For the people asking what will happen if Sony never signs ***** n the deal does fully get passed... It should be obvious... Their will be "Concessions" saying Xbox will have to put the game on the PlayStation platform for a certain amount of years, most likely not 10 full years though.
As well as all the people saying, So after the ten year deal ends... Will Xbox THEN take CoD off of the PlayStation platform? No.... At the end of the 10 years Sony will..... Negotiate a new deal for a more normal amount of time in the industry like 3 years.

Valhiem was such a buzz game for PC last year. I am actually really looking forward to giving it a go. Survival games are always very hit or miss with me. They are very much something that you have to go all in on to make them worth it and fun.

Don't take that as a dig, just saying that you might have gotten some info crossed up or something. It was rumored that TenCent would try to swoop up Activision if this deal fell through, by a couple of sites but I never has it been publicly stated that talks with Tencent happened prior to Xbox striking a deal.

It is still incredible how well the PR department did at Sony to sell fanboys on "The Power of the SSD" Haha. Wallie, you do understand that the SSD, The Solid State Drive, is only the memory. The SSD in the PS5, or in any computer actually, does not change the power of the CPU or GPU.
Furthermore, when marketing says that they "built a game around using the power of the SSD" in the PS5, all that means is load times. So instead of making the player squeeze between a crack in the cave, or shimmy through a sewer pipe, while the game is loading the next section in the background. The SSD can load up quick enough to not have to do that. Thats it.
The next FF games are going to be on PC within a year of release. And when they come to PC their will not be a requirement of a top of the line SSD, shoot there might not even be a requirement of an SSD in general. I don't think you need one to play FF7R. Just a hard drive with 80 gigs.

Just like the Epic vs. Apple deal about a year and a half ago, we got some awesome dirt through that court case that the public would have never been privy to this day. That is how we found out that it was Sony all along blocking cross play between the different platforms. And if it was not for Epic and Fortnite, we still wouldn't have cross play available on consoles.
But Sony did not make it easy for Epic to implement the cross play feature... Noooo, if Sony was going to be a part of Cross Play, then Epic would have to pay a portion fee... Obviously. That is something I am still some what shocked is not brought up more often, and I am actually curious if Sony is still demanding a fee to be a part of cross play. LoL I wonder if Call Of Duty has to pay PlayStation to include the feature.
But once Jim Ryan started taking his Paid Time Off to visit countries in the UK, to talk to regulators specifically. I have n loved Hot Wheels, but always felt like the DLC was a little bit too pricey for what ya get... So I am soooo stoked they are including the GOTY edition. Woulda sucked if it didn't have the DLC haha.
But all N all, very happy that they have a proper line up of games being dropped on game pass, that are actually high quality.
N besides the no Forza release date, todays show was excellent and put out what they said they were going to... without too much filler bullsht. Twas a great format I am looking forward to Xbox continuing to do this going forward

@Kaloudz In the next couple days Persona 4 and Persona 3 are being added, as well as Monster Hunter Rise day n date(all three day n date actually). I personally would much rather have few less games if they are going to be at a higher quality like these titles compared to the normal months content. I agree it does feel like it has been way too long compared to what we are used to getting from XGP. But once Persona is drops in a day or so, the Direct will be here before we know it, and I feel pretty confident that they will announce some ***** for the very end of the month/start of next month

This is a total hype bomb game. They have put out a few awesome looking trailers, but their are multiple youtube videos debugging this game n it really is not gonna be half of what it is claiming. I doubt it ever comes to xbox.

@Titntin I am on the last boss now. And the level of difficulty in certain spot definitely raises the bar from the beginning of the game. I wouldnt saythe AI is above par, but I also wouldnt say it is anything less then the last assassins creed game or pretty much any game. Video game AI is dumbed down on purpose. They could easily have to proform like a well trained assassin, but being a computer and all, that just would not be fun. They actually program it to not pick up the loot that we are gong to grab, and stuff like that. But it also is definitely able to be programmed to be unstoppable against us. I have a feeling a big improvement in AI is going to be right around the corner, because visuals are getting to be less and less of a jump and they are working on AI for a lot of stuff now.

Because for the style of game, it does offer a nice variety of unique style/play style weapons once you get into the game a bit. Paired with the Jet Pack and power slide, The gunplay really is not the part I find to be lacking in my opinion. My biggest con for the game would definitely have to be enemy variety. I have taken out 5 of the Drug Lords and there are still the same yellow big eyeball head grunts constantly and for just how beautiful and unique the world/setting is in the game. It would have been nice to see maybe like 3 different factions to give it a bit more variety. Actually their was the ant enemies at the start of the game... They should have mixed them in more through out the game.
Gunplay though, not nearly as poor as you are making it out to be.

Because PlayStation only put out 3 games in a full year, and they were multiplats, with Santa Monica Studios confirming GoWR was a game modeled around getting the most out of the PS4... not the PS5. Game Pass may not have had first party games this year (besides grounded n Pentament) but PS only had 3 first party games... first party is like 1% of games every year. Game Pass brought a ton of quality games to it this year and continues to this month. Your whole ultimatum that Xbox better have 3 banger first party games that are in your opinion high quality, just sounds like you want a reason to complain instead of be grateful for all the games we have.
I have a PC, Steam Deck, and a Series X. They are all great IMO

That is something I am still some what shocked is not brought up more often, and I am actually curious if Sony is still demanding a fee to be a part of cross play. LoL I wonder if Call Of Duty has to pay PlayStation to include the feature.
But once Jim Ryan started taking his Paid Time Off to visit countries in the UK, to talk to regulators specifically. I knew that this was the start of Sony sticking its nose into other people business a bit too far, and that MS lawyers would 100% make some more dirt/BS from Sony, made public during this court case.
I am sure we will hear just how much PlayStation is paying game publishers to keep their games off of Game Pass.
Which always had me wondering, if you are going to throw millions of dollars to keep games off of Game Pass... Why not just invest that money into actually putting some new games onto PS+.
Looking very much forward to the inevitable sauce we will be getting from this case!

So people aren't running to pick t his up right now... but htat is because we are still a few months away.I remember the Forza Horizon special edition was $40 for the content if you were just playing the game through game pass and I think like $80 to buy the special edition and game.
The special edition content also let you play the game a week early...
They got a million people to pay $40-$80 for Forza that week. I wont be surprised if they get a million to sign up for this during the prior week of the Red Fall launch.

Actually Bethesda was not the largest ever acquisiton in the games industry.
Take 2 acquired Zynga, the mobile game company for $12.7 Billion... not too far from double the amount of the Bethesda deal.

I have n loved Hot Wheels, but always felt like the DLC was a little bit too pricey for what ya get... So I am soooo stoked they are including the GOTY edition. Woulda sucked if it didn't have the DLC haha.
But all N all, very happy that they have a proper line up of games being dropped on game pass, that are actually high quality.
N besides the no Forza release date, todays show was excellent and put out what they said they were going to... without too much filler bullsht. Twas a great format I am looking forward to Xbox continuing to do this going forward

If you are expecting more than release dates and deep dives into the four games already mentioned, as well as a sizzle real of game pass games... then prepare to be let down. If that is what you are expecting though, you will be happy.
The only surprise I'm hoping for is the date of the Star Field show right at the end of the show. The comments wanting stuff from Avowed, and I even saw a comment wanting 2024 titles... you are just not listening to what they have told you to expect

In the next couple days Persona 4 and Persona 3 are being added, as well as Monster Hunter Rise day n date(all three day n date actually).
I personally would much rather have few less games if they are going to be at a higher quality like these titles compared to the normal months content.
I agree it does feel like it has been way too long compared to what we are used to getting from XGP. But once Persona is drops in a day or so, the Direct will be here before we know it, and I feel pretty confident that they will announce some ***** for the very end of the month/start of next month

FYI it was included in there June 2022 "E3" show where every game shown will be out in the next 12 months, show.
Every single Nintendo show, big or small for the 2 years before that show every Nintendo YouTuber would claim that Hollow Night Silk Song would be in that show for sure. No one expected to first see it at a damn Xbox show that is for sure.

But not one that will actually ever happen, so don't worry in the slightest that Sony will ever have a chance at pullin the rug out from underneath Xbox more than they have already.
They do not have even close to enough money to buy ABK.
And with a far greater market share in the industry, it just wont happen I promise you that.
Really, we need the CMA and the EU the pass the deal, then Xbox will be okay.
If they don't, then this will have all been for nothing.

All of ABK's executives are going to make a sh*t load of money once this deal goes through. If PS makes them miss out on that payday, Sony will be in the doghouse more than they already are with ABK.
Even now, with the way they have spoken out against this deal so publicly and egregiously... I really cannot picture Sony ever even getting the CoD marketing rights again after this three-year contract is up.

I am on the last boss now. And the level of difficulty in certain spot definitely raises the bar from the beginning of the game. I wouldnt saythe AI is above par, but I also wouldnt say it is anything less then the last assassins creed game or pretty much any game. Video game AI is dumbed down on purpose. They could easily have to proform like a well trained assassin, but being a computer and all, that just would not be fun. They actually program it to not pick up the loot that we are gong to grab, and stuff like that. But it also is definitely able to be programmed to be unstoppable against us. I have a feeling a big improvement in AI is going to be right around the corner, because visuals are getting to be less and less of a jump and they are working on AI for a lot of stuff now.

Were you expecting Battle Field type mechanics?
Because for the style of game, it does offer a nice variety of unique style/play style weapons once you get into the game a bit.
Paired with the Jet Pack and power slide, The gunplay really is not the part I find to be lacking in my opinion.
My biggest con for the game would definitely have to be enemy variety. I have taken out 5 of the Drug Lords and there are still the same yellow big eyeball head grunts constantly and for just how beautiful and unique the world/setting is in the game. It would have been nice to see maybe like 3 different factions to give it a bit more variety.
Actually their was the ant enemies at the start of the game... They should have mixed them in more through out the game.
Gunplay though, not nearly as poor as you are making it out to be.

You can say you have "different preferrences" and that you only prefer AAA games. But saying that Xbox is not putting in enough consideration for big budget games is kinda comical. Xbox has done nothing but invest in it's first party AAA studios since 2018 and significantlyy so in 2020 by buying Bethesda and presently buying Activision.... I don't see any other platform holders throwing close to $70 Billion down on AAA studios

So you are saying you would switch to PC? Because PlayStation only put out 3 games in a full year, and they were multiplats, with Santa Monica Studios confirming GoWR was a game modeled around getting the most out of the PS4... not the PS5. Game Pass may not have had first party games this year (besides grounded n Pentament) but PS only had 3 first party games... first party is like 1% of games every year. Game Pass brought a ton of quality games to it this year and continues to this month.
Your whole ultimatum that Xbox better have 3 banger first party games that are in your opinion high quality, just sounds like you want a reason to complain instead of be grateful for all the games we have.
I have a PC, Steam Deck, and a Series X. They are all great IMO
