Re: Xbox Confirms Its First Two Game Pass Titles For December 2025, And They Both Look Brilliant

Stoned_Patrol

@dreadful I have never paid full price for gamr pass since it became a thing.
I get all the whining about the price of GPU now being 430 a month. But doesn't everyone buy GPU codes off of CDKeys type websites, with "deals.gg" being the best.
I paid $14.50 a month for the next year, so pretty much half price. So stop pretending you are going to buy these games later when they are on sale.
The best part about GP is that it gets you to play so many games that you really never would have because they are just a download away.
I can tell you already, Routine is a perfect GP game, because it is going to feel very indie. Only 4 people made the game apparently, and any game that takes that long... gonna be a bit jank I am sure. I just hope it is fun, or has a cool story. Keep expectations low though

Re: Roundup: All The Reveals From October 2025's Xbox Indie Showcase

Stoned_Patrol

@Fiendish-Beaver
Mouse PI For Hire seems like it should certainly get a Game Pass drop wouldn't you think??
I mean not only did they pretty much do a 10 minute dev direct feature on the game n studio during this show, but this has to be the 3rd time I have seen Xbox showcase this game at its different events over the last 2 years.
I could have sworn that originally it was connected to game pass

Re: Perfect Dark Studio Head Issues Final Statement As He Leaves Team Xbox

Stoned_Patrol

@somnambulance
Tango was sold after they made their pitch for Hi Fi Rush 2, and asked for an increase in the studio size by 35%-45% as well as a timeline of 4-5 years to make the game.

Hi Fi Rush was a rad game, critically it was championed. But the game didn't sell for *****. Shadow dropping it like they did for sure had a big reason for why it didn't sell on Xbox, as well as being on Game Pass day 1. But it sold horribly on PS5 too. So it sounds like when the numbers were crunched, what they wanted (tango) to do with the sequel was just way out of budget for how the game preformed financially, not critically.

Re: Perfect Dark Studio Head Issues Final Statement As He Leaves Team Xbox

Stoned_Patrol

@somnambulance
I dont feel that way at all... I feel like it shows that Xbox isn't going to fund a games development for forever... and why should they?
Because they have trillions of dollars?
How do you think Microsoft got so much money... Not by wasting it on projects that are never going to release. If you don't have most of the game finished after 5 years, and there are obvious problems where things aren't turning around so Xbox should expect to have to wait at least 2 more years before getting a product to sell from a studio they are paying for... Sounds like they probably should have canceled these projects sooner.

They should have made that deal with Take 2.. they have zero plans of using the Perfect Dark IP again now that this project fizzled out. Stupid decision to not make the deal over a old defunct IP honestly.

Re: Opinion: The Value Proposition Of Xbox Series S Is Better Than Ever In 2025

Stoned_Patrol

@Coletrain
I bought a Switch 2 and a Pro controller on launch day and just that alone cost me around $615 out the door after taxes. Thats over $600 just to play 1 game, let alone paying $50 for the enhanced online subscription to play gamecube. N I HAD to buy some grips for the joycons cause they may be slightly bigger for the Switch 2, but they are still flat little things that make my hands genuinely hurt a lot after more than 15 minutes of play with them

Re: Ex-PlatinumGames Boss Takes Blame For The 'Failure' Of Xbox Exclusive Scalebound

Stoned_Patrol

@Tasuki
Well I certained hope you are not holding your breath! You would be long dead before you ever got even a screen shot of Scalebound at this point.
Someone mentioned it in the comments already, But Xbox got totally taken for a ride when they funded SB n Platinum. It is widely known that Platinum took the money from Xbox, even going back to Xbox n asking for more money than originally agreed upon, and used it to help fund Metal Gear Rising and Bayonetta 2. If you see actual game play of Scalebound, the game ran like absolute trash, actually more like a slide show of a Dumpster. With average framerates around 20 with drops.

Platinum must have had a good sales pitch, and told Xbox they could make a game that far exceeded what they could realistically pull off.

Re: Ex-PlatinumGames Boss Takes Blame For The 'Failure' Of Xbox Exclusive Scalebound

Stoned_Patrol

@CenturianShark
It is very obvious that you completely have lost the plot with Xbox and the gaming industry as a whole. Xbox isn't making exclusives anymore... They have proved that they will make much more money releasing games on multiple platforms. After Hell Divers 2, it wont be long until Sony does the same. Making exclusive games had nothing to do with creating a list that fanboys could brag about, rather it was to make content that showed their hardware in the best light possible. But aat the end of the day, the corpo's true goal is and always will be, to make the most money possible.

Re: Indiana Jones Order Of Giants DLC Launches To 'Mixed' Feedback In First 24 Hours

Stoned_Patrol

@Trmn8r Just to make sure I wasn't tripping, I did. N guess what, it worked.
Even the $35 "Upgrade", that is exactly what it is... and upgrade to the premium version if you already have the game digitally in the standard edition.
How did most of us play Indiana Jones? Through Game Pass, which includes the standard edition of the game.
SO if you do not want to pay $35 bucks, you buy just the DLC ($19.99), not the Upgrade (which includes one skin n a digital art book-100% not worth $15).

Just like every other game on Game Pass. If you want the DLC you have to pay for it separately from the game pass subscription. But as long as you have Game Pass, you dont need to buy the base game to play that DLC.
Hope that makes sense.
I totally get why multiple sites would state that it is $35 bucks for the DLC, because on the Xbox app right now, it still shows the upgrade for $35 to me and I Have the DLC. Xbox is obviously going to push that over the DLC by itself.

Re: Indiana Jones Order Of Giants DLC Launches To 'Mixed' Feedback In First 24 Hours

Stoned_Patrol

@Trmn8r Yeah you are understanding it incorrectly. I do fully agree that the article that you linked does make it genuinely look as if you have to pay $35 for the DLC if you are a Game Pass member who played it through the subscription initially.

But just like with every other game that you only get the base game with game pass and dlc is sepperate... You can just buy the DLC and continue to play the base game through game pass. I only suggest doing this with games that are first party though because all of the third party games will eventually leave GP.
But yeah you can just pay the $20 or $17 with GPU and play the DLC if you still have GPU (That gives you IJ base game)

Re: Stalker 2 Is Getting An Engine Overhaul This Year On Xbox Game Pass

Stoned_Patrol

I got about 28 hours in, and that was within a week of launch... But I got stuck in the dumbest glitch. I am stuck on this mission where after I make it through this crazy batch of enemies and into this base looking place, the guy who I need to talk to continue the mission just doesnt spawn. I have tried everything, including going back to an old save that was like a hour plus before this and I have gotten to the same place only for the guy to never spawn it is so damn annoying. I am really hoping this engine overhaul actually helps me get passed this *****.

Re: Poll: What Are Your First Impressions Of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers On Xbox Game Pass?

Stoned_Patrol

@Nintendo4Sonic Why complain about an optional poll?
Also, the poll isn't asking your review of the game. It is asking how much you like it so far? As in, what you have played of it. Not your impressions of the complete game.
So, saying most game pass users don't finish games (Also where did you find this little factoid? Oh its just some BS you thought sounded true? Cool) doesn't really matter, Because the real fact of it is that most gamers don't finish games. N that isn't a made-up fact.

Re: Two Games Are Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass In August 2025 So Far

Stoned_Patrol

@IOI You really dont seem to have Xbox Game Pass with a statement like Game Pass is nothing but games being ported to PS and some indies.

Just in the last 3 months Game Pass has been stacked. N I am sure that August will have much more than just those two games coming. This week they dropped Robocop, Brand New Tony Hawk game, and Little Nightmares 2.

Re: Here's A Look At The Updated Xbox Game Studios Roadmap From May 2025

Stoned_Patrol

@LogicStrikesAgain
LoL You gotta be kidding me with some of the titles you put on that list... I get you are trying to make it look long and expansive. But when you have "Project Gummies Bears by Studio LFG (Which doesnt mean Lets F***ing Go, But rather Looking For Game LoL). Have you seen the description of Gummy Bears? WTH is a Frog Like game LoL!?
Not gonna lie I couldn't help but cracking a smile when I saw that you listed Baby Steps as well. That indie game seems almost like the complete opposite of a game PlayStation gamers would enjoy. But when you are trying to fill a list, I get it.

N yeah Xbox doesn't have a big list of exclusive games. But they do have a big list of games. Just this first 6 months and the holiday of 2024 they have released so many damn games. They may not be exclusive, but they are included day one on Game Pass. That is the value that Xbox still offers that PlayStation doesn't. I know I am happy to not be paying for Expedition 33, Doom Dark Ages, and Oblivion in the last 2 weeks. And seeing as you can very easily buy your GP subscription off a 3rd party site for half the price at anytime, those games alone pretty much cover the year of Game Pass. I paid $120 for a year of GPU last time I got it.
So I mean if you only play one game all the time then I dont see that being very beneficial for you. But if you like playing new games all the time, GP has really balled out this year so far.

Re: Video: Phil Spencer Shows Off 'Secret Xbox Lab' For Next-Gen Hardware

Stoned_Patrol

Having Xbox make a console PC hybrid is the coolest most innovative thing they could do in the console space.
People are making way to big of a deal about getting to play PS games on Xbox through Steam, when it is all the other Steam games that would be the real game changer.
Along with al of the sales.
Plus I am really hoping Xbox keeps the Quick Resume feature, I love that and its something you cant get on any PC currently.

Lastly, what wil really be the colest part of a hybrif Xbox console... Game MODS! That would bring so much more value to Xbox being the only console that could mod its games. So if you had GTA6 on Xbox, you would be able to mod it, and you wouldnt be able to on PS6. Just saying

Re: Video: Phil Spencer Shows Off 'Secret Xbox Lab' For Next-Gen Hardware

Stoned_Patrol

@TheGiraffe
Games like Star Field that launched exclusively, and before Xbox made its change to being a full blown multiplatform publisher dont really count in my eyes as being timed exclusive. If it was launched right now, you bess believe that the game would be multiplat.

Pretty much all games being made by the big studios, studios that are used to developing games for multiple platforms, such as ones acquired with Activision. Their games wil just launch everywhere day n date.
Games like South of Midnight, developed by a smal studio that had been developing the game only for Xbox the whole time... they aren't going to launch on PS5 (obviously the game is out, but I hope I am getting the idea across).

People online have been using exclusives as nothing but ammo for their list wars. Exclusives and 1st party games honestly make up like 1% of games that come out every year. And Astro Bot should be proof enough... you can have a literal Game of the Year wining quality game and it didn't bring in jack ***** for sales for games or consoles for Sony. Astro Bot sold 1.5 million copies.

Re: Xbox Is Set Up For A 'Bright' Future, Suggests Industry Analyst

Stoned_Patrol

@Mincey0
How are you really still trying to run with the Series S is holding the industry back argument??

Sounds like you are a PlayStation gamer, and that is fine.... But how have you not become aware that 50% of the PlayStations userbase is still playing on the PS4.

That is what is "holding the industry back", the platforms unwilling to fully leave last gen and its massive userbase behind.

@Millionski
As someone who plays on Cloud pretty often, and use an Android phone and also am an Xbox Insider in the Alpha Skip ahead tier... Xbox on Android is not where it needs to be.
Xbox really needs to team up with Nvidia and Geforce Now.
Streaming on Geforce Now's top tier with the 4080 machine setup... It is near flawless when using good internet. It actually shocks me still to this day and I have been using it for over 2 years. I beat all of Black Myth WuKong on Geforce Now, and that is a tough game that needs precision combat throughout the whole thing.

Re: Microsoft CEO: 'We Are Redefining What It Means To Be An Xbox Fan'

Stoned_Patrol

@Hexamex-Tex
Well do you currently not have a library of games on your Xbox?

Or do you really just only play games you have gotten access to from Game Pass?

If that is the case I get leaving for PlayStation next gen if you are that annoyed by the 1st party games going everywehre.

But for me, I have like 800+ games in my library on Xbox. So I wouldn't abandone that just because other gamers are going to be able to play the same games that I can play, but have to pay $70 each instead of being included with my Game Pass membership (currently $9 a month by buying Ultimate off 3rd party sites).
Pretty much if you buy one game and pay for PS+ then you are paying the same amount of money... and it looks like Xbox has enough studios to where they will be putting out much more than one game a year.

playStation on the other hand... More and more 3rd party studios/publishers have been going against taking the exclusivity bag from Sony and have realized they are making more money off of putting their games everywhere.

The third party games are going to be coming to PC and Xbox eventually. Rise of the Ronin will be on Xbox next year, and Stellar Blade will be on PC and probably Xbox eventually. Square Enix is going to be putting anymore games besides the final chapter if FF7 Remake just on PS.
And PS has had such a big fumble this generation when it has come to getting their big high production 1st party games to the finish line and out to the players. They are getting like one game out a year... and for me, I won't worry about leaving Xbox as my main platform for PS over one game.

I do also have a PS5, but I rarely use it and would for sure not have bought it if I could rewind time

Re: Microsoft CEO: 'We Are Redefining What It Means To Be An Xbox Fan'

Stoned_Patrol

If this is really going to be the case... And my PC is really an Xbox too... Then they need to set it up where EVERY game I have/own on my Xbox Series X is playable on my PC and have my cloud saves there as well.
I know they are the only console to do duel entitlement... But that is only with a handful of games, certainly not the majority.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Giving MW3 Developer Four Years To 'Lead' New Call Of Duty Project

Stoned_Patrol

They should spin up another CoD studio for 2029... Give them enough time to get running and produce a brilliant game. And for 2025, just make it a year that gets a bunch of DLC for Blops 6... Including plenty of Zombies DLC.

If the hardcore CoD fans knew that every Cod game would be getting 4 years instead of 3 years of development, especially after how great this years has turned out to be, I think fans would be fine with that.

Re: State Of Decay Studio Head Provides Update On Team Size

Stoned_Patrol

@Fiendish-Beaver I agree that all ofd those titles will be 2026 and part of the launcch line up for the next console/handheld... But at the same time, all of those games will be cross gen for Series X/S consoles too. Just play better on the newer console.
I mean Blops 6 just came out for Xbox One... They wont be abandoning the Series players right away if ever with cloud gaming getting better and better

Re: These 10 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (November 4-19)

Stoned_Patrol

@Feffster Hey if you had Game Pass Standard you probably would be a bit happier wouldn't you. Dont trip out over the little things.
We just got an amazing CoD game day one, Flight Sim and Stalker 2 a day apart in two weeks, and were surprised with Metal Slug Tactics out of no where coming tomorrow.
XGP is cooking my boy

Re: Two More Xbox Game Pass Titles Quietly Appear In October's 'Leaving Soon' List

Stoned_Patrol

@AdolBannings-Laylee You could always just buy that Like A Dragon game for really cheap somewhere if you wanted... One of the cooler parts about Xbox verses PlayStation when it comes to getting games digitally... They actually let other online stores sell games keys. So that means there are a lot of places to buy digital games for a hell of a lot cheaper than what PlayStation would ever let its games go for digitally.

AKA CD Keys G2A etc.
