Re: Poll: Four Months Later, Are You Still Playing Starfield?

SoulChimera

According to my year in review, I put 35 hours into it. I really wanted to like it, one of the reasons I bought an ASUS ROG Ally was to play this and Forza 8 at work. But I ended up dropping both games very quickly. Only managed 15 hours in Forza. Really gutted as these were two of my most anticipated games of 2023.

@Lup Can’t believe I agree that the Sega announcement was the best thing at this years show. Haha. Really intrigued by Crazy Taxi and the visuals of Jet Set Radio looked **** hot.

Very weak show, glad I didn’t stay up. Just watched it and really wish I’d just looked online and read about the announcements.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Xbox Live Memory?

I’m not really an online person, but aside from one year when I moved to another country, I’ve always kept my subscription alive. From the original Xbox Live, to Game Pass Ultimate.

One of my earliest memories of actually playing Xbox online multiplayer was probably Midtown Madness 3. Loved that game and the multiplayer was great fun.

Where is the sequel?

I played through to St. Petersburg. Funny how after all these years, the mission objectives are burnt into my mind. Haha.

It's a decent. Think I'll finish the campaign and see if I can go through a couple of multiplayer matches.

@aj102404 @species8472 I forgot until I got to mission 5 and I noticed nothing had popped. I checked my achievements, they were all logging and adding to my gamerscore, just not appearing on screen. They started appearing not long after that. Now they are all popping on screen.

Shame we didn’t get a date for Forza. It looks incredible.

@NeoRatt I get what you mean. But you could say that about almost anything released though. Apart from the really big games. How many sell to more than 5% of the user base? And games are a tenth of the price of VR. If you take PS4 as an example (easiest to find sales numbers), say ~120 million consoles in the wild. That’s 6 million copies needed to break 5% of the users. According to sales data, only 11 games crossed that line.

But I agree, it will be a very niche product for now. We just need to get to Ready Player One levels of immersion. Haha.
