Oh really ? Are they planning to show us another price hike that is in the pipeline between the lines ? Or an ad version of some sub to increase profits?

Sorry , I am a bit sceptical towards presentations / publications by MS when looking back at the past year.
They really need to have a banger show to put them in to the positive column again because they really screwed up with their fake promises and weird strategies.

To be honest .. I couldn’t care any less anymore.
I have the feeling Xbox is moving in a direction that I am not interested in. Cloud gaming , handheld play anywhere , bumping up prices of their subs , losing identity or better said , changing its identity.
Good for a new generation but I rather stick with the old approach.

MS is a on a roll lately !!
Raising the prices of 5 year old consoles that can probably be manufactured for a lot less than when they were released.
Release a handheld that is a fine piece of machinery but a bit on the expensive side so pointed at a (very) small group of gamers.
Raising prices of their subs by an absurd amount that made a lot of gamers run away.
And now , the gamers that they still have have to fork out a premium price for the next gen console.
MS … if you want your user base to jump to another console , just ask them. No need to do all this.

Strange they did not mention it in the mail that I got yesterday … also pretty weird that they sum up all of the “benefits” but none of the prices.
Scream about the pros , just hide / don’t talk about the cons. Seem to be a pretty popular way to communicate in America lately.

If only the people that are responsible and get very well paid came up with this.

If he is talking about the price of gamepass I have to correct him because that is closer to a 100% increase over last year.

Nope … nothing can save the day after that disaster that was yesterday.

I am completely lost in the middle.
I DO want to play the games on release , but to have an Ultimate subscription just for that just does not feel right. It’s nice that they add Ubisoft+ but out of the X amount of games added today , only 8/9 of them show up as new / not played for me. Cloud gaming is so not my thing and I am pretty sure as long as there are consoles that play games natively , I will stay away from cloud gaming when I can.

I am still trying to figure it out.
Do I want to play ( most of ) the biggest games on release ? Yes
Do I want / have the slightest interest in all the cloud stuff ? NO , no , oh , did I say no ? I meant NOOOO !!
Neither subscription feels right for me now.

And a couple of days ago there was an article that said that they could not subsidize the Ally more … to get the most out of your new gadget you’ll need to have Ultimate. With the price of this ( almost mandatory ) sub I have the feeling there is still a little bit more room to play with.

That is why I don’t have any expectations. An investment group .. the word says it all. Not connected with anything game related , only interested in profit and how to generate that profit with the least amount of costs. So I’m afraid there will be no exciting games anymore , just the yearly updates of the sport franchises.

Funny how MS talks about game preservation when they still release owned ip’s like the Forza (Horizon) games with licenses that expire after a couple of years and they delist them never to be seen again.

Now MS and Sony , go work together to make crossplay much easier by making a cross console friends list !! Go go go !!

Underwhelming is an understatement.

With all the crossplay and formerly exclusive titles releasing on both consoles both Sony and MS should work on cross console friendslists so it would be much easier to find someone on the other console.

Same here. These games are so tempting and are good fun in the beginning but after an hour or so , after the 50th missed run - slide - parry - slide - jump and so on and so on section I get frustrated and never touch the game again.

As a technology lover I would love to have one but I know for sure it is 10 minutes pure fun before I let it collect dust for the rest of its life. Happened before with the Atari Lynx to the switch and every handheld in between.

I’m pretty positive it is but just to be sure … this is the DLC that was included in that special edition upgrade for the gamepass edition is it ?

Those clear shells are fun for a moment to see how the inside looks and works , but once I’ve seen it I like everything nice and smoothly hidden under a nice dark colored cover. Blending in as far as it could.

When I see those clear shells I always have the feeling the device screams to me : “Hey ! Here , look at me ! Complete chaos over here !!!”

I liked it a lot. It was a fresh breath after the immense worlds of origins , odyssey and Valhalla.
Just before boredom kicks in the game is finished.
As an inbetweener this was very welcome.

Oh wow … there was a time that I’ve had around 1150 games installed at the same time before one external hdd gave up on me.
At the moment I still have 2 separate 8 Tb gamedrives connected and an expansion card.

To answer the questions “why in gods name” .. I’ve lived in a place where internet speeds were very low. (Re)downloading games would take ages. So everything bought was downloaded and stored locally to make sure I could play it when I wanted.

At the moment still 650 games installed and there are even days when there is no update at all. Just the newer games seem to update regularly but older games are just there with a tiny update once in a couple of years .

It seems like the game is “gold” , if they still need polishing the whole download would be a stupid move when they release the polished version 2 days prior to release as a day 1 update. So … If everything’s ready to go …. It would be a waste to wait another 20 days isn’t it ? Just release it next week !!

Let’s wait and see. Last year there was a trailer of Neo Berlin 2087 that looked nice , (voice)acting was kind of tacky but on the other hand showed potential. That one is also on my radar.
But we were fooled with Mindseye a couple of months ago. So we have to wait and see if it develops in the right way.

Both games appeared to be “free to buy” in the store.
I have no idea if this was a mistake but both games have been added to my OWNED library.

I’ve read about separate lists. No idea what is going to happen to the cod launcher list.
I always thought an achievement list could not be changed afterwards but I guess anything is possible now.

This sounds great but help me a bit.
These titles will start to work as older COD titles ( wwII , advanced warfare , ghosts etc etc ) completely separate , stand alone , no shared stuff ?
And wait a moment … “after redownloading each title” ? So the games are being deleted and , if you want to, you can redownload each title individually.
I’m so confused with COD installations nowadays.
I would not be surprised that the installation size will actually be larger if you have everything installed seperately.

Still have it.
If I want to see some info it is right there and if I don’t want it I press the A button two times in succession. Problem solved. That wil take me about 0,5 seconds of time in total so I don’t really feel like I’m losing game time.

Amazes me too. Make the announcement and with that announcement discount the game until delisting. There will be LOADS of people buying it just to be able to play it if they ever feel like it ( and probably know they never will )
But no …. Let’s keep the price up so little to no extra sales will be made.

From being one of the headliners during the X1X and series X/S reveal , to closing the studio in a couple of years. My god Xbox , what is gods name are you doing ? Invest some more in DOA MP , casual party games and community *****. It is like they want you to switch to PlayStation.

With games like this there is no need for game preservation.

Too bad , even though the video was partially fake , the idea and concept still looked promising. We all have seen trailers that did not reflect the end product in the past years so this is nothing new. This feels a little like a stab in the back of the dev’s who were working on it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with easy GS games that are just plain easy and sometimes they even are good fun. But what I really dislike is to have 3 of those identical games , for 3 different platforms with absolutely zero difference. Just to sell them for GS. It makes the store cluttered with separate versions of identical games. I don’t think the 120fps for some of the series XS games make any difference. Make it a play anywhere title or something.

I’ll keep it on but not everywhere. Good thing that you can customize where you have this option activated.
In the end it is just one button click more but for some people this is an outright disaster.

This morning my gears code dropped in my messages.Did you receive it too?

I know I should not get my hopes up high but everytime I read that BC is a huge factor for next gen Xbox I am getting visions of a new Xbox where I can put in the 360 or OG discs in and they start without any problem with enhanced features like better resolution and framerate.
One can hope ..

It may be a simple re-run for the people that played ultimate but this game is not made for Xbox owners. This is just a game to warm up the PS crowd.
The trailer is just a miss in my opinion. They should have brought back the “mad world” trailer.

I have honestly don’t have any idea. I did the same , spent thousands on digital games and digital content and this is our fate ?
Don’t get me wrong , I am not demanding anything but if you sent out codes to casual players that just did 2 hours with gamepass I start to feel like an *ss

Maybe you guys from PureXbox can ask MS if there are additional conditions or why it looks random who gets it. Some people just played a gamepass version , some only own the 360 disc version , some only the ultimate version and got it , others like myself own practically every version and got nothing. Thankfully I got the code from a friend that received one that played and owned pretty much the same gears games I did.
