Xbox Superfan Shares Blades Dashboard Concept For 'Project Helix' Console

With Project Helix now out in the wild at least in terms of name and concept, folks have started speculating on what exactly this console will look and play like, with Xbox seeking to merge console and PC in a bigger way than ever before. That obviously leads to questions about what the user interface will be like, and Xbox superfan Klobrille has thrown their own concept idea into the ring here.

Taking to social media in recent days, Klobrille has shared a "Blades Concept" for Xbox Project Helix - featuring the iconic layout in the background with a more modern tiles-like display front and centre. This certainly looks quite nice and clean overall, and we wouldn't say no to something like this as a new dashboard if Microsoft could fit everything it needs to within the UI.

Interestingly, Xbox 360's blades dashboard style has been in the headlines quite a bit as of late. New boss Asha Sharma has hinted that she might look to revive the UI style at some stage in the future, but of course, we've not seen anything like that materialise on Xbox Series X|S just yet. Could it be saved for Project Helix? Who knows, but Klobrille has given us — and potentially Microsoft — some food for thought here.

Of course, we've seen plenty of similar fan concepts for Xbox dashboards in recent years, but ultimately, the team has stuck with a similar style for a good few years now. However, with new leadership in place, a nostalgic hit in a similar vein to this could be an easy win for Project Helix. We'll just have to wait and see what happens when Microsoft fully unveils this thing in the coming months.
