@Lightning720 Yeah, I agree it can certainly mean that and is what is meant here but it could also mean "we set it up day-one and haven't touched it in 5 years".

While I agree with the point of the defense, saying "we haven't touched the menu screen in years" isn't exactly the alleviating response to "the devs don't care about it" that he might think it is.

@GuyinPA75 I can understand your frustration but please try to see it from my perspective. I've been eagerly anticipating this remake or remaster of Red Dead Redemption, specifically for Xbox as that is my main console, but PC would be nice too. So I've been looking forward to news about this ever since it's been starting to leak. If PureXbox didn't post this article I wouldn't have known about this surprising turn of events and I'd probably have gone a few days before hearing about it through other news cycles. I appreciate that PureXbox made the article to tell Xbox users that it's surprisingly not a remaster, it's surprisingly not coming to Xbox (but for decent reasons after explanation), and with that explanation how Xbox players can still get all of the benefits of this "news" and not have to pay the high price of entry like Nintendo and PlayStation owners would have to.

@GuyinPA75 Then you missed the subtext of this article. The news here is that it ISN'T coming to Xbox in this specific form while with all the related news leading up to today was the very opposite. Without this article appearing here I wouldn't have known how this release has changed and that it doesn't appear to even be a true remake of the game. This was absolutely news worthy here.
This article goes on to explain how to play this game today and not have to pay the upcoming $50 for it. A big help to many.

@Brigurugi Did you play "NHL 94 Rewind" that EA released 2 years back? But I also do wish we had more arcade sports titles still released. They must just not sell like the full simulation games do.

Isn't this the same game that has gotten or will get new server infrastructure to better ensure it can still matchmake and host games into the future?

@Banjo- Nah, Resident Evil 2 Platinum Remake is next. You get a mini-gun with infinite ammo. Makes those meetups with lickers no biggie.

With these two games, my library says I have 163 games through Games With Gold. I rarely would skip a download unless it was seriously a game I would have so little interest in playing.

They're not offering the "candy" colored ABXY buttons here. I'd have to buy a custom controller from their controller building service and then take them from that. Or pay some big shipping prices from dubious sellers that may be selling "leftovers" from a factory in China.

@Lightweight I hate all in-line microphone mute switches along headphone cords. I refuse to use them. I only use the mics that have the controller-bottom attachment with that easy to always find mute and volume buttons. I've even bought some extra ones in case these break and I'm to be forced into the in-line versions. No thank you

@Kezelpaso Still no mention that Shadowrun also had its matchmaking fixed with this and COD?? After fixing COD, the work they did made Shadowruns matchmaking even worse. After being notified, Microsoft jumped on it, and not only fixed it but found a bug and fixed it, going from a typical search of 30 seconds to 3.

I would be interested in some official sleeves with art that could be slid down the Series X with different artwork and changed out as desired. I miss the faceplate fun of the original Xbox 360.

@Nighto4 From what I remember hearing, the Hogwarts Legacy content on PS is pretty minimal. It did not sound like we were missing out on much but it still stinks.

I am curious how well this works if it's in the middle of a large group of players in COD for instance. If it is only audio I'm curious how the recording will differentiate as to whom is swearing, unless each mic channel is saved off and tagged by gamertag??

Congrats to IOI. From being on the verge of shutting down to then building out the World Of Assassination trilogy and having 5 sister studios, that's fantastic!
I used to skip Hitman games as I just figured they were too hard of games for me to bother with, but after watching ALL of OutsideXbox's playthrough videos and commentary, I was sucked into the game. It's fun, clever, and challenging.

@JON22 It was at least mentioned that the combat/FPS shooting mechanics and feel would be different and likely worse, if not for collaborating with Id, so that's one thing that was shown that would have been different.

Then do a late physical release like Nintendo has done for Metroid Dread or the upcoming Pikmin 1&2. Dropped digitally originally and then weeks later a physical release finally came out. I'm sure they picked up a good number of double-dipping buyers.
