It's time for Xbox to put up or shut up. The one big, glaring lesson from Xone gen is a game console has to have games, even better for that console if you cannot find those games elsewhere. They're doing pretty decent this gen but coming off a very dry first party year they badly need to build some excitement. Otherwise imma start eying a steam deck as a portable gamepass machine and I'll get a ps5
Still super tempted to get a steam deck… right now I’m playing cyberpunk (very janky but I am liking it), persona 5 (stuck on a boss atm) n think ill start norco- I do live in south Louisiana
I absolutely loved Tunic but i think his point is backwards. Having the subscription service has actually freed teams up. Obsidian was able to pursue Pentiment (that third chapter, ugh). Redfall itself was supposed to be more games as service but they were able to focus on what they really wanted to do with it after acquisition.
This whole thing is ridiculous. Sony has been market leader since they joined the industry. They throw a fit when someone wants to make market more competitive and get their way. sad
I love soulslike games. I'm playing Tunic now and freaking love it. Looking forward to lies of p. This game not so much, not as drawn personally to the chinese background but hope others enjoy
they don't offer even mid tier games. it is extremely rare i download any of these i don't want to waste the space or have to scroll through this garbage in my library
I'm playing too much. Got hooked on crusader kings 3, working through persona 5 in the background. Got to chapter 3 in Pentiment. And I started Tunic again which I did not like the first time but i'm really enjoying this go around
I actually had a golden year of gaming. Elden Ring is maybe my all time favorite game. Right now I'm playing Crusader Kings 3 and Pentiment and loving it, with Persona in the background. No tinykin love eh?
I thought maybe xbox learned a valuable lesson with Xbox one...a video game console is made or broken by its GAMES. and if you're going to compete, you have to have games that are only on your console.
@FraserG I think it's a great feature. Hopefully we all understand it's not a sure thing, but it helps give some advance notice about what might be leaving and put it back on a person's radar. Otherwise we get what, a couple weeks official notice?
When I first saw the reveal I was sort of meh on it. But for some reason it stuck with me in the back of my mind, and I dunno, can't even explain it but I am just massively looking forward to this now
I’d never played a souls game and bought elden ring on a whim after reading some reviews the day it launched. No clue if I’d like it. Booted it up and I have not felt that sense of wonder stepping into a game world since I was a kid. Reminded me why I love this medium. I’d put it at my all time number 1
I loved infinite but I only play the single player campaigns. I'd much rather see Starfield delayed and be good. Reading between the lines, I think he sounds optimistic about it (is that wishful thinking?). Kind of saying this has potential to be a great game, want it to live up to that instead of releasing too early
I'm really looking forward to playing this. I'm going to wait until I'm done with persona since that's also very narrative heavy, but happy to see a good review for a game like this and I hope it gets a lot of attention
I echo the sentiment they just didn't have the releases for big gp growth like that. Starfield is my number 1 most hyped game rn, but in all honesty I'd rather they delay and get it right, It's better to be worth the wait than out now imo. I think they're working on a good pipeline, hopefully we won't be seeing any more drought years. I was mostly a nintendo gamer for many years (sometimes only Nintendo) so a) i've been really enjoying catching up on games and b) talk about droughts, there were years where nintendo had legit nothing. Like the year leading up to the switch, for example. MS has still managed to get some quality stuff on GP. I'm loving Persona 5 rn, I want to get into Crusader Kings. Are those brand new, groundbreaking games? No but they are great additions

These actually don't look bad at all. I like RTS genre and antiquities. The other one looks cool too, wish it wasn't procedurally generated
