think i'll jump on layers of fear. having trouble getting into a game after starfield

i bought it for playstation, kind of wish i'd waited as i haven't really had time to even get into it

@Hydra_Spectre i just bought a copy of morrow wind off ebay, was cheap, had the map and i've been kind of collecting. does it still hold up/ worth playing you think?

Trying to decide if i want to play this or dead space. I just beat SOMA and don't know if this has too similar a vibe?

bought mine physical. took a month's break from gamepass while i played it, planned to take longer because i've bought too many games but GP is just too good.

bought dead space physical a month or so ago and was planning on playing it near halloween. ah well at least when it's on GP i won't have to get up an swap out disk

Oh man yeah i'm going to have to get through signalis before it goes, i think i should just about be done with SOMA. I started Persona 5 when it launched on GP and couldn't get through it, fell off around the ship level. I enjoyed it but it just dragged on a bit, plus i'd been really frustrated by one of the bosses that i eventually felt like i beat through luck alone

Honestly with all the attention this has gotten there really isn’t.. much there…

I’m just hoping they offer this for future consoles. I’ve invested heavily in physical this gen. It’s so cheap and easy to collect for Xbox especially with the backwards compatibility

I have really fond memories of square from the ff 7-9 days but the truth is I haven’t really like a final fantasy since 9. Including 16 (and especially, especially 13)

I’m not a huge fan, wouldn’t mind playing a little crash bandicoot or trying Diablo out. Bethesda was definitely their best get so far

Same boat as everyone else (well, almost, we don’t say button up here in states) but I do need to wrap up starfield. Also playing silent hill 2 should finish that tonight and started dying light 2

I want to give this a go now. Taking time off gamepass as I’ve been in a buying spree (been buying physical games for Xbox, felt like I didn’t “own” much). Will pick this up if I see it on sale

I am really enjoying starfield. I think i'm done with all of the faction quests- finished Crimson Fleet last night which, as many have said, was my favorite. Just need to do the main campaign now but i also want to start dying light 2 and getting into some of the horror games i've bought for the season

I honestly love starfield and thought cyberpunk was meh

i think i'll get this when goes on sale i liked the cartoon

i've barely been able to pull myself away from starfield long enough to start a horror game for halloween. Starting with silent hill 2 for first time. man i can't believe how antiquated it is, i thought it was ps1 era until i remember there was no voice acting back then. it play just like a ps1 game w a ps2 sheen. Also have re7 gold on the way, barely remember playing it when it first came out

speaking of scoring STARFIELD IS A 10/10. ok..i'll see myself out now..

@NeoRatt i own all 3 as well but the playstation is the newest and collects dust. I buy 3rd party games on xbox always because of smart delivery and quick resume. xbox has also had the more interesting library lately- hi fi rush, pentiment. Lower budget, interesting games

Even though i have a massive backlog and can't pull myself away from starfield i just bought vampyr physical yesterday as it was a good deal (that's another don't nod game)

Top spot for me. Time flies by when i play it and i always can't wait to go back for more. Usually i'm a big zelda fan but TOTK didn't click for me. Felt like a lot of work at times. the controls weren't very intuitive. First mainline zelda i haven't beaten in a long, long time.
Least favorite game i finished this year: Final Fantasy 16.

Starfield first and foremost. Then I’m playing last hope and I might start dead space to head into Halloween. I did start silent hill collection (#2) but after realizing how old school it is I think I’m gonna give myself a break n restart on easy

I am really loving it myself... EXCEPT the base building. With 40 hours into the game i decided it was time to get one up and running last night. What a hassle...didn't have the right supplies. Wrote them all down on a sheet of paper and tried to go to the store in New Atlantis to buy what i needed, the woman (can't remember name now surprisingly since i kept shouting where IS ___) was NOT in the store, i went away and slept came back nothing. Then i built a little base and realized i need higher scanner perks to actually see what resources i'll be collecting....

I just keep getting more and more worried about physical going by the wayside. I see this, plus the possible Brooklyn console, and it's more and more people in on all digital. Ah well, i guess it IS more convenient and i'm just a bit old fashioned liking having the game in my hand, having a stack on my shelf. I like my steel case starfield sitting on the table while i play. Even with physical you still have to sit there and install in on the console. and it's nice to just be able to swap back and forth with games without getting up and taking one out and putting next in.

I’ve been on a physical collecting binge lately (Xbox is very easy and cheap to collect with off eBay and w backwards compat you actually get to play on modern console) I’m wondering if I should be investing more in digital from here on out?

it's my goty honestly. I played TOTK, i tried to start BG3. Starfield has me hooked like no game since Elden Ring, or any game long before that.

I was going to get the "pro" version but this doesn't appear to be it. I've been accumulating physical too i'm not going discless

Purple is my favorite color but i'm happy with my elite 2, starfield, and my hyperkin duke

@Lightning720 bro what? An 86 is a B. That’s not excellent. Tears of the kingdom 96. Baldurs gate 96. They had excellent reviews. Starfield at 86, did not.

@Lightning720 well it didn’t release in a vacuum. To pretend this is just another Xbox exclusive rolling out isn’t exactly accurate. Xbox has been barren pretty barren on that front but there was always starfield, always starfield. For 2 years or more. Then it drops to decent reviews. Not what people were hoping for

I was originally disappointed by the reviews (as the negative points out here not the game changer we'd hoped) but i bought it physical yesterday. I haven't played all that much but i struggled to put it down and go to bed yesterday and I did not feel like that trying out Baldurs Gate 3 or with Zelda earlier this year. The graphics are STUNNING, the music, everything. I was immediately drawn in.

@DennisReynolds it’s almost too much. I still haven’t beaten Zelda…

They’ve always had a good relationship w ms anyway. Think back to morrowind and oblivion. Right at home on team green
