I'm in the US and i know this is a UK based blog so forgive me but I kind of wondered this from beginning...if everyone but UK approves, then skip UK?

With launch of Zelda the Summer of Switch has set in for me. My OLEd had scratch I just replaced it with new zelda edition and plan to catch up on switch games probably until starfield

As i've said a couple of times I initially was going to go ps5 but changed my mind last minute to Xbox. I think, at this point though, they are running out of time to make their case. The glaring problem since the launch of Xone has been lack of quality exclusives. This isn't new, this isn't a surprise, it's been a decade. All i can say is my switch will be getting a lot of use this year, might be a playstation under my tree at xmas.

From what I've read Redfall was initially juts a bland, online loot shooter bethesda wanted to cash in on, and MS allowed them time to flesh it out and make it a bit more of the game they wanted to make so i'm not sure the blame actually is on MS. Still, yet another blow to team green. Something is going to have to change over there. Things are not going well.

@Lup preordered hog but it just didn't do it for me. Very cool to boot it up and be at the castle, go to hogsmeade. But it just felt like such a blank, by the numbers open world game. hope you get more mileage out of it

The more I read the more I worry that all isn't right at team green and sometimes I wonder if I should've gone PS5. Truth is though Xbox's exclusives appeal to me much more- Halo, Starfield. They're just so damn few and far between and the problem is this has been hammered home time and time again since they literally revealed the xone.

Like someone said above these are the same games that are always on sale... plus I just got RE 4, Zelda is around the corner and I'm finishing Dark Souls 3 and Chained Echoes (which is great btw).

hopefully xbox has learned they need GAMES. EXCLUSIVE GAMES so people pick up your console. Starfield will help this year i think

im actually not a big fan of it. guess i prefer it a bit more abstract- just not slapping the characters on it

@jolteon23 i was concerned w that when deciding between an xsx and a ps5- missing out on FF. The truth is, tho, that I really haven't enjoyed an FF since 9

i'm looking forward to trying diablo 4 on gamepass. maybe some crash banidcoot too. idk if much else interests me

i got it for xsx and at first was blown away by how cool it was to be walking around hogwarts but I feel off it hard as it is a very standard open world game. It doesn't help that i'd just played cyberpunk leading into it which is a similar go to the dot on the map type game

was sort of tempted but i like the starfield one more. Plus ive been really debating getting myself a duke

You know what, i'm happy w last month's and i haven't gotten to try any of them yet so i'll just carry that over into this month

I think Lamentium looks cool i'll give it a shot at some point.

i am just not an ubisoft fan. i tried. i bought odyssey (love ancient greece), also tried their ancient greek game (forgot the name rn) but just can't get into it

Did not love third act but enjoyed it. Actually still find myself still thinking about it sometimes

@BlackMayge I wish octopath 2 was coming to Xbox. I’ve been playing chained echoes this week tho and really enjoying it. I did turn difficulty down I thought each battle was a bit too much n it’s supposed to be relax game for before bed

I’m playing dark souls 3 and chained echoes. If you like old school rpgs don’t sleep on echoes- gives you sort of that chrono feel but everything is sped up a bit makes it less of a slog

as everyone else said this gen feels like it's barely gotten started. It's going to be tough for MS and third parties too trying to develop across series s, x and a possibly more powerful console. To be fair i'm sure i'd buy it but i dont think it's necessary

Based on what other devs have said and the size of this game I’m thinking a lot of the delays were bc of series s. Double edged sword- bringing ppl into Xbox ecosystem while also holding series x back

Game I'm looking forward to most. It has an actual date now, and a direct lined up. Don't know why anyone is still complaining. let them release a good game when it's ready

@ActionPanther I tried it, I could not get into it and i'm usually down for some indie action. I liked backbone. Kentucky is just too opaque, it's not fun

I've seen some pessimism in the comments and...i gotta say... i've really enjoyed this gen so far. I just finished Hi Fi Rush, i loved it. I really enjoyed Pentiment, Psychonauts 2. I loved Inifinite (i only play single player Halo, mind you). Just bought Hogwarts, Atomic Heart releases in a few days. Yes they absolutely need some big triple A headline grabbing titles out the door but i've enjoyed myself so far and the horizon looks good.

I tried with Isolation, really did. Just couldn't get into it. And i don't think i've ever said this about any game, but, the less people that play anything ffXIII related, the better

I feel like i still buy plenty of games. Whether I get to them or not is another question bc of gamepass. In past week i bought Okami and red skies

elden ring is better, but i am damn impressed w hogwarts so far. Really is the dream video game in that universe i've wanted since i was a kid. Team green ftw

Hogwarts deluxe preordered (only other game i've preordered in past 5 years i think is elden ring), I'm also looking forward to Atomic Heart, need to boot up HI Fi Rush too. Looks like a strong month
