I already have most of the bigger games I’d want (or they’re on game pass) but I bought call of chtoulu, mothered, and the newest toe jam and earl.

It seems like most people are having a similar experience to mine where they really enjoy it during the first area, starts to wear thin during the second area, and by the end you’re ready to move on

@mac_da_man I also lowered difficulty near the end bc the battles were starting to get tedious

@Darylb88 I mean I played as loyal to the empire it didn’t feel evil. I’m thinking about the beginning of dragon quest origins a guy introduces you to his gf and you can say this fat cow? Or comically evil stuff in mass effect like punching the reporter it all just felt very watered down

@PsBoxSwitchOwner that’s how I felt. I loved it at first but during the second area that really started to wear off. It felt kind of shallow, the battles started to get repetitive (and kind of annoying)

I’m about 25 hours into avowed (did early access). I really loved it at first but after spending a good chunk of time with it I’m not as enamored- probably a 7/10 for me. Also what happened to being able to really play as an evil character!?

I was really loving it out of the gate- it’s beautiful, the combat is fun, the lore is interesting. I’m about 20 hours in though and it’s kind of devolving into a checklist

I almost always have multiple games going but right now it’s avowed and only avowed

i am absolutely loving it. in fact, this is the first time i've felt like i've actually role played in a game in a long time- i realized ive just been knocking things off a checklist. it's beautiful, plays great, the story has me hooked, i like the character i've created.

i caved and bought the premium upgrade last night i've been looking forward to this for a while. i love the colorful art style, obsidian is great, i'm just really looking forward to it.

I have been playing my switch- feel like I didn’t use my Zelda OLED enough before 2 comes out. Grandia 2 and Metroid zero mission (last 2d Metroid for me to beat) Will be jumping into Avowed when it comes out

Not to keep harping on this but now that I’m almost done with the game I cannot believe y’all have it this score! It’s the rare game that actually improves in the second half (more an action) on what was already a strong first. Just wild

I switched to ps5 for a chunk of last year but now I’m like screw it I prefer Xbox operating system (quick resume, smart delivery, bw compatibility) I’ll go down w the ship. Plus an entirely sony dominated market will be bad for us all

Even tho it’s on gamepass giving my battlefront 2 for free has me back playing it been a lot of fun. I will echo everything you’ve ever read about titanfall 2’s campaign and say it is very good

@Bigmanfan I did it with starfield and I was glad I did. I put the game down toward the end and thought eh I’ll finish when dlc comes out (not knowing if I would) but I did and I actually liked starfield even more coming back to it

I just got it delivered but haven’t opened it. I think I’m going to return it. The having to be purely good/nice because they couldn’t achieve their political objectives otherwise has made me lose interest. When it effects gameplay… that’s bad.

It is worth mentioning they didn’t provide review codes to anyone who even hinted at criticism during their preview

I have this pre ordered but I haven’t decided whether I’ll return it or not when it comes. The companion characters are painfully ugly. And, I say this as a gay dude, I’m kind of exhausted with the copy paste of real world issues. This is a fantasy game. A hallmark of good writing is being able to slip in your point of view with some subtle analogy. It’s just lazy and at this point utterly exhausting to be lectured in every single piece of media- in fact I think at this point it’s having the opposite effect of causing resentment. Edit: the problem is it’s also effecting gameplay in a big way. I like to play my BioWare games evil, and, apparently that’s no longer an option bc you’re not allowed to be mean
