Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 5-6)

After beating Forza Horizon 4 and its 2 expansions recently I’ve decided to start playing Forza Horizon 3. Sadly the expansions for 3 have been delisted.

Also beat Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3 and Kirby’s Dreamland 3 in the past week so I started playing Kirby 64 a few days ago.

And like always some Fortnite.

Recently finished Prodeus. Now playing The Legend of Tianding.

I finished the campaign for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) for Xbox Series X and it was stellar. I got all of the main story achievements except for two so I might replay the game and mop those up. I haven’t touched multiplayer just yet, but I might try it out for the first time in over twelve years.

Other than that, I started The Legend of Tianding (Xbox Series X). It’s apparently not that long of a game, and considering I work full time, this might be the perfect palate cleanser as I await God of War Ragnarok for the PS5. So far, the story is forgettable, but everything else is solid and pretty darn cool. It’s also challenging, even on the easiest difficulty. I’m looking forward to completing it.

With that said, a part of me wants to start Persona 5 Royal although I don’t want to play two heavily narrative driven games at the same time (GOWR). Who knows—I’m really craving a JRPG at the moment.

Warhammer 40k Inquisitor - Martyr for me. Played it ages ago when I had a gaming pc and with the current gen console release recently thought it would be good to dive back in

The current gen version on series consoles is pretty decent 60 fps 4K on X (s does 1080p 60 fps I believe). While fps does dip when the screen gets really busy it does a decent enough job to keep 60 fps for the most part and looks decent enough for this sort of game.

(PSA: Don't buy this on ps5 as it has issues. As I understand it barely makes 30 FPS atm with tons of screen tearing. Something went wrong there and hopefully it will be patched )

Tons of content, so many build options and systems the game is a bit overwhelming to begin with but I am slowly figuring it out.

If you like Diablo style games that are grim, dark and bloody (which I do) this game has a lot going for it. I am finding it a lot of fun to explore.

I finished the Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose DLC yesterday, which was great, and I'm hoping to finish off Gotham Knights today or tomorrow. GK is not as good as any of the Arkham games, but it's still fun and worth playing imo. Looking to start A Plague Tale: Requiem next!

Gonna go for Octopath Traveler. Might spend some time with side stuff on scarlet nexus and halo 1 campaign. There so much I wanna play a struggle to choose sometime, it's a bit stupid really

Pokémon Yellow Version (GB) - Made it to Mt. Moon, fighting Brock with a Pikachu was brutal.

World At Arms (Windows Phone) - Still playing again.

Angry Birds Star Wars (Windows Phone) - Getting three stars on every level finally.

On my Xbox is persona 5 and Star ocean the divine force. Absolutely loving Persona 5, such a great game. One of the best soundtracks I ever heard, the story is great and the chose what you do each day keeps it fun and entertaining. Star ocean is more action focused jrpg. Liking the dumas fighting system there. Nowhere near the quality of p5r but it's enjoyable.

On my ps5 it's still Atelier Ryza and Gotham Knights. Gotham Knights isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. It has its flaws but it's good enough to enjoy it. Ryza is almost done mostly swiping up achievements there to get the platinum.

These 4 games should keep me entertained for the rest of the year probably.

A Plague Tale Requiem which I’m enjoying very much and Ghost Song.

I'm gonna be starting up Steam World Dig 2 on my Series X. I really enjoyed the first game so looking forward to playing it..

Probably a bit of Halo Infinite. Really enjoying Quick Play at the moment. Looking forward to the winter update next week!

Other than that probably some of The Entropy Centre.

@darkswabber I feel your pain, im playing the earlier horizons and would welcome the chance to buy the expansions.
I started at the beggining recently and was suprised just how good FH1 was on the 360. Im towards the end of FH2 now, and again im amazed at how good it is, the urban areas are fantasticly realised and theres tons of traffic. Im looking foward to no 3 soon.
Ill take a GOW break before im back on the fh series 😀

@Titntin 2 is the only one left for me after 3. Played 5 at launch, 1 the past summer, 4 last month (including the dlc), 3 right now and 2 last as I don’t have the physical yet.

Gotham Knights and probably latest CoD for me.

I started a second play through of the Halo Infinite campaign the other day. That game feels so good to play. I’ll also probably get in a few matches online. On PS5 im working my way through Gotham Knights. Its a fun game to dip in and out of and i find it a nice relaxing game thats not too complicated or systems heavy. Have a great weekend!

For me it’s Soma and nobody save the world , P5R is very tempting but ît looks very long but when I will be ready to play a lot I will start it.

Hi there fellow gamers.
This weekend I´ll be playing and finishing Halo 5 Guardians and see why the game was (and probably still is) so polarizing.
It has been a real blast playing the Halo games for the first time. They are fun, engaging, have some pretty awesome and intense moments. And the OST is absolutely amazing.
I will also be playing Gears of War 5 after finishing Gears 4.
Felt a little strange in the first Act, but quickly became good and fun after meeting a certain character and the "new" enemy treat
Very curious to see were the story is going in the next chapter.
Might also be dabling on Prodeus and Ghost Song.

Waiting for my 1tb storage expansion since my xbox storage is full lol. After having it I plan to play some spooky games like ghost song, signalis and scorn

World of Warcraft. Dragonflight is coming.

Playing through the Mass Effect Trilogy. I just started Mass Effect 3. Also playing Legacy of Kain: Defiance on the original Xbox. In between playing those I play the original Doom, Forza Motorsport 6, Halo infinite multiplayer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection and occasionally The Elder Scrolls Online and the Division 2.

Finished Silent Hill 2 HD. Needed a refresher in advance of the remake. Also finished Signalis. What a wonderful experience. Not so much in presentation but gameplay wise, a fantastic homage to psone era Resi and Silent Hill.
I'm on the last chapter of Ghost Song. One of the better post Hollow Knight metroidvanias.
Nailed it's atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough.

Persona 5 Royal has its hooks in me. Hoping I can wrap it up before Midnight Sons comes out

Persona 5 and I’m in the dice dude in cuphead. Might have to wait on pentiment w how narrative heavy persona is

Been playing through a Plague Tale Requiem, about half way through now. Want to finish it and jump into MW2.

Was playing Sonic Frontiers since it arrived early for me. And MK11 with a friend.
