Developer Mundfish has revealed that Atomic Heart, one of our most anticipated February arrivals here at PX, has officially gone gold! No more delays or major re-works, this Xbox Game Pass shooter is coming next month.
The team acknowledges that it's been a long road for Atomic Heart and its development, with the game's first announcement dropping way back in the summer of 2017!
Regardless, we're here now and the title is in shipshape condition according to the team. Of course, a day one patch could always be in the works over at Mundfish, but by and large, the game is ready to go.
Atomic Heart launches for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass on February 21st, 2023. Here's a look at one of the game's latest trailers, if you still need convincing:

2023 is shaping up pretty good between 1st party, 3rd party, and game pass releases.
Gotta admit some really nice additions on Game pass for me personally.
Jan: Hi-Fi Rush
Feb: Atomic Heart
@Chaudy yep, and apparently they are setting up a solid year for Game Pass, so far we know:
Jan: HiFi Rush
Feb: Aromic heart
Mar: Wo Long / Ghostwire
April: Minecraft Legends
May: Redfall
And there is still much more announced without a date, like Motorsports, Lies of P, Stalker 2, Flintlock, Starfield etc..
@Moonglow @Chaudy Agreed. It's going to be a great Q1-Q2, and undoubtedly beyond. I think the years of 2022 are behind us. It's uphill from here.
This is the positivity I like to see. Not all of this negativity saying how there's nothing coming out for Xbox and Microsoft is slacking or whatever the hell. I just want games that are good and finished, I don't care what the quantity is or how long they take to come out as long as it's quality. If you need to delay it to make it right then so be it. I've noticed that the people that complain about the shortage or lack of new content seem to forget about all the past content. There are literally thousands of games to play on the Xbox. I don't know why people think they need a constant influx of new content when the older content is actually new to them because they have not experienced it yet. Like I said, I like to see this positivity and appreciation for what is coming out and available. I don't think some or most people comprehend what it takes to create games these days. There is so much involved with so much complexity on so many different levels that we are now at a point where it takes a lot longer to produce games, even though there are advanced tools and faster computers. I'm pretty easy to please and I'm perfectly content with the new content coming out. I am also in no rush for new content because I have hundreds and hundreds of games in my backlog, but I understand that is not the case for everyone. Also, I think people seem to forget about covid, which is self-explanatory. Anyways I didn't mean to ramble on this long, it's 6am and I am falling asleep as I type this. I wish there were more comments like these when I read the comment sections of websites.
@ZYDIO I think 2022 was a pretty bad year when you factor in the delays and the lack of communication, especially when comparing to other platforms. But you're right!! There's so much to play. One thing I can't recommend to anyone enough is Moonlighter. That's on Game Pass. It's sensational.
That to the side, I've said for a long time now that 2023 will be a turning point for Xbox. There's so much coming and I fully suspect that a heap of MS Studios will be showcasing a lot of things this year and beyond that are ready to come off the skillet. Most studios have been working on "something" for a few years now. Then we'll find ourselves in this healthy cycle of releases, new showcase, releases, and so forth. Exciting times.
But like I said above, this is just the beginning. Between the stream, the game pass announcements, the inbound game pass games, upcoming 1st and 3rd party, and more besides, it's finally starting to look good.
Edit: Sleep well. Dream of me 😘
@Kaloudz Really hope you are right about the healthy release cycle. I worry slightly it will be a massive 2023 and then a quiet 2024 and we will go forward in two year cycles of big releases but I guess let’s focus on this year for now! Either way Atomic Heart looks sensational and an excellent gamepass addition.
@GeeEssEff I think I'll be right. I'm almost confident in fact. Once the aquisition goes through as well, it'll just heighten things so much more. That said, even without AB, they've got so many teams working on so many things. Plus, MS know they f'd up 2022. Hence why we got that very blunt "here's your next 12 months" and they'll want to keep that cycle going. I'll eat the rest of @Nestalgia controllers if I'm wrong.
@Moonglow no love for RTS games.... Age of empire 2 and 4 ❤️

Great that this game has gone gold, but the real question is - does this game suck? We'll see.
