Xbox Games With Gold For January 2023 Announced

Such poor games I'm definitely going to pass on these two absolute rubbish games watching paint dry would be more enjoyable

Gets worse every month they don't even offer stuff people have actually heard of. They need to cancel Gold as PS+ is embarrassing them every month as they offer games that people want to play.

Xbox management should be ashamed with the extremely poor value of Gold. Literally no point in having it.

Ps plus get jedi fallen order and look at the abysmal rubbish we get chucked out time to scrap it and increase AAA titles to game pass and add online gaming cost. I would be happy with this and increase the rewards so you can get extra chances to get more points.

It's not like I ever have expectations of anything good ever dropping on gold but somehow I still am always disappointed.

@TheDesigner i am not saying that xbox should get that what im saying is ps plus get AAA game we get indie and being abusive is a form of being simplistic.

They should just kill this off and concentrate on GamePass, which is already starting off ON FIRE in 2023. Persona 3 and 4 plus Monster Hunter Rise in January and they still haven’t announced the rest of the month. That’s the way to kick off the new year!

I swear they are having indie studios make cheap games for gwg. I can't remember the last time i actually even heard of any of them.

they don't offer even mid tier games. it is extremely rare i download any of these i don't want to waste the space or have to scroll through this garbage in my library

I'm an entitled gamer that has no clue that Xbox can't just throw whatever games they want on GWG!

Games with gold and gamepass isnt same thing.
If you own a Xbox maybe good to know differrence.

No surprise. Its all about Gamepass now.

It is almost as if it is deliberate putting out poor monthly games on Gold to push people to Game Pass who havent done it already.

If anything it would waste less resource to remove Gold completely. The number of Xbox gamers not on GP already must be small enough surely.

It would be better if they just kill the games with gold and add more free in game content for the game pass perks section instead. Concentrate on a higher grade of content for that service. The games with gold platform is dated, pretty much became obsolete when they introduced the game pass platform.

They should unfortunately just scrap this at this point.

I bought game pass ultimate cause the selection of games are incredible and rarely check what the games with gold are, They always suck. Microsoft could get rid of gold and i don't think anyone would care.

@TheDesigner just because a game is on gamepass doesn't mean they shouldn't add them as gold games for people that only subscribe to gold & don't want gamepass plus they stay in your library with gold with gamepass they can leave at any moment

@rhyno_888 epic games store & Amazon prime gaming have been getting alot of Bethesda games aswell most recently dishonoured & dishonoured 2 , I get all Bethesda games are on gamepass but that shouldn't mean gold subscribers that aren't bothered about paying extra for gamepass should be left out of getting games with gold because they're on the more expensive subscription lol

I remember games with gold used to give us some gems every now and then. But it's been terrible since Gamepass has come about. Honestly, I own way over 400 games on Xbox alone, I have more than I can ever play, I'll add these two to the collection to be forgotten, like so many others before it.

To those comparing it to ps+, does sonys game subscription give you better value for money than Gamepass does, it doesn't. I'm happy with Xbox and the direction they took, if they can now just retire gold all together and move away from that subscription to a simple, Gamepass or Gamepass ultimate subscription, I'd be very happy. Who knows maybe next year is the year it's getting retired.

@MagicMan they wouldn't care if they decreased the price of playing online at the same time or just got rid of it entirely & made it free , they wouldn't do that though they'd tie online play to gamepass forcing people to pay for the game rental subscription if they wanted to play online on none free to play games

Come on Epic Games Store manages to land good games for free every month and they don’t even make you pay at all. How the heck did the land Mortal Shell a game that looks half decent while we get this.

@Deemo37 Exactly, even GOG has better giveaways. It's insane that Epic can give away stuff like Death Stranding for free while Microsoft can only get shovelware for a paid service.

Meanwhile I got the weirdest Xbox survey asking me to name a game I've played recently, any game (botw was the example), then questions about what motivates me to play it (including questions about meeting new people, being part of a community, impressing others....I listed Sonic Frontiers.........) Asking me what platform I played it on (one option was none, it's a board game), and then asking if I streamed it on "xCloud", yes, it actually said "xCloud", or Stadia.....

Who makes these surveys for Microsoft? And what do they even do with information from surveys based on invalid nonsense questions that use incorrect names for Microsoft products, and reference competitors that no longer even exist? No wonder they think GwG is fine

@RangoTel @Deemo37 As much as it sucks, PC game keys are a lot cheaper than console equivalents - that's why GOG, Epic, & Prime Gaming can give so much away so often. It's still not an excuse when you're as big as Microsoft though.

Regular ps+ is like games with gold, ps+ extra and premium is like gamepass.

If you dont know maybe better to be quiet.

I cant wait to add these to my library and never ever interact with them.

Almost daily I get proof why I switched to Playstation as my main console..
