@Savage_Joe $50 is way too high. If we compare to NSO. The individual annual membership is $20, where the family membership is $35. That's an increase of 75%.

With game pass being $15 monthly, a 75% increase would put it at $26 - 27ish per month. I'm thinking $25 might be the sweet spot honestly.

I should pick up time splitters. My backlog is already insane though and I would love to add Crusader Kings 3 to it. Plus time splitters would mostly be for the multi-player anyway and there are only a handful of occasions where someone will want to play it with me. Oh well.

I haven't touched GTA V since it broke the disc drive of my fat PS3. I'll probably pick this up when it goes on sale 3 days after launch lol.

I'm split. While I do wish that gold was removed (and online multi-player) made free. The only reason I have game pass ultimate is because of the gold to game pass conversion. So if gold was removed, I probably would not renew game pass at $15 per month. I think $10 per month would be the sweet spot but I don't even play game pass games every month, so I'd probably just sign up for maybe 4 or 5 months per year.

New lost viking would be really cool. Look forward to finally playing Diablo 2 Resurrected when it drops onto game pass. Hopefully, the server issues will have been resolved by then.

@themightyant If they keep it multiplatform though, they might still be able to get a chunk of that change from game sales from Call of Duty, so maybe 10 years drops to 5?

@fbnaulin 70 billion dollars is likely going to become a bump in the price of game pass. This is worrying.

Remember guys, Minecraft stayed multiplatform. Maybe Call of Duty will too along with most Activision games. I can't see them giving up all that money not to maximize their revenue on as many consoles (including PC) as possible.

@Richnj How old was your son when he played Mario 64? I'm hesitant to let my son (7) play it now. It's a very difficult platformer. I want to introduce him to it eventually, but I don't want to scar him lol.

@UltimateOtaku91 I am assuming that at a minimum, the controls will be redone similar to perfect dark. That N64 control scheme is terrible.

I double dipped on both Turok and Turok 2 when they released for consoles (Xbox and switch). I'll do the same with Goldeneye and pretty much all the gems from the N64 era. Rare replay was actually the reason I bought an Xbox one back in 2015 (jet force gemini and conkers bad fur day being too good to pass up, already had the 360 versions of perfect dark and Banjo Kazooie). I had originally pre ordered the Arkham knight ps4 console, then rare replay was announced at E3 or something, so I canceled my ps4 pre order and bought an Xbox one. (I did get a ps4 later when street fighter V dropped)

@Tharsman Seems like shooters is the most populated genre. At least in the AAA space.

As it relates to GTA Trilogy, there are no advantages.

@Carck I agree with the "tracking down" risks hence why I said we should not broadcast our real identity. However, there should be some identifier that links bigot01 on Xbox to bigot01 on Youtube.

In life, you're only anonymous until someone (law enforcement) needs to know who you are, then you lose all anonymity. Not to mention, people that know you will always recognize you. A similar concept needs to exist for the internet. Something that prevents spoofing identity, and where people that know you will always know you.

@EquiinoxGII I fully support removing anonymity from the internet. What is the point other than doing shady stuff that (hopefully) won't be traced back to you? That said I don't think we should necessarily broadcast our real identity (for security concerns) . Maybe we have an internet license (with an internet name) and it never changes. We aren't anonymous anywhere else in life. Why the internet?

As someone who sucks at shooting games, I appreciate objectives that don't require me to kill people lol.

But honestly, the 2nd level is probably the hardest one (outside of the last level)

I made it to the last level of Lion King and used the "play the game for me" mode to see the ending lol.

@JetmanUK Yes, Xbox has contributed a lot. Sony and Nintendo have as well. The current state of console gaming would not be where it is without all three of them.

@Microbius I'm waiting for that expansion card to go on sale too and then I'm on it. I don't need 50% though, I'll gladly take 20% off.

@gollumb82 I actually pre-purchased GTA trilogy and refunded it on launch day due to the issues. I fully expect a discount very soon after Christmas and by then hopefully there have also been enough patches to warrant me purchasing again.

I noticed that F.E.A.R. is not available for purchase yet. (At least it wasn't yesterday). F.E.A.R 2 (and 3) however are available for purchase.

I am not at all confident in GTA 6 at this point. This is very sad as GTA V (on release) was one of my favorite games ever.

@everynowandben Only played heist which was great. Quest is on my wish list but I'm currently burnt on card games between Slay the Spire, Monster Train, and Shadowverse.

Looks good to me. Will probably be a day one buy for the trilogy. I wonder if game pass subscribers can get a discount since one game is included.

@Grumblevolcano it's a free to start subscription game. Game pass won't make a difference. They certainly won't include the subscription as part of game pass.

I don't even remember how the controls differ from GTA 3 to GTA V. Did GTA V get rid of the auto aim button?

To lower the XP rate and then charge for it later is pretty scummy. If they felt the need to boost the rate, they should have just had a free toggle that restored it to the original rate.

@Spiders The game takes less than 10 hours to 100% and costs full price. I'm not a huge stickler for the dollars per hour value of a game, but to me, that's a bit excessive.

That said you're absolutely correct that a game is only worth what you're willing to play.

Anyhow, I still have Axiom Verge sitting in my backlog.

Metroid Dread is overpriced imo. I'm not touching it til it drops to $40 or less.

Xbox 360 was an amazing gen. Surprised Castle Crashers didn't make the list.

On a side note, I've recently started playing Double Dragon Neon again. Never beat it (nor came close if I recall) when I first played it some decades ago.

I think there are a lot of mechanics that I was not aware of when I played it last. The dodge and counterattack is a game changer.

I'm pretty sure I knew nothing about that when I originally played it.

I may have watched the show with the wrong subtitles. Supposedly "English" has better translations than "English (cc)".

Still a great show though. Definitely recommend it.
