"oh no, how can this be. The Series S is sooo strong, it has 4TFlops..." 😁😁😁 Even though I don't care about Series S. I think this is a game, where 60fps are no must have.
Xbox version is not for pre order in the Bandai Namco store. But this wouldn't be the first time, that it is available at Amazon but not Bandai Namco itself. Let's enjoy the last time of physical games on XBox 🫤
I can only say the same thing as always. As long as Microsoft doesn't forget their own player base with a disc collection, I'm excited for another generation.
My main controller for Series X is the PowerA Fusion 4 for a lot of months now. It's so much better than the Microsoft controller, I even have to say, I can't stand the original controller anymore. I played 1 hour of Doom The Dark Ages and returned to my Fusion 4 again.
I just got the GameSir Super Nova for my Switch. It's incredible and even better than Nintendos own Pro controller. GameSir has some impressive models out there. This one presented here, looks a bit ugly in my opinion, but I guess it's not bad.
@Elbow yeah man, this really saved my day. I didn't believe they really would honor disc users this way. And looking at Series X the last 2 years, it seems my beloved disc games are getting fewer and fewer. I had to buy Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Digital and same will I do with South of Mind. I really hope, that Microsoft gives players at least the option on next gen, using disc further on.
@themightyant I do get your point. But there are situations, where the Series S slows down the Series X. And that's where I don't like it, that they even released it. The should have done the same like Sony: Disc drive or no disc drive.
@Nic-Noc20th-C did you lose your mind? People who bought the Series S knew from the beginning, what they are not getting. Series S is the trash version of this generation, so Microsoft can sell more subscriptions. Why should Series X users with a disc drive be fooled?
Oh wow, even with Ninja Gaiden 4. That hurts. Of course, Microsoft doesn't like us disc buyers. I can also not use the Rog Ally XBox if 80% of my games are not playable on it. I'm really curious, what the new Xbox will look like.
Keeper is my no.1. It looks so beautiful and promising. No. 2 is Resonance: A Plague Tale, it looks great and I'm really looking forward how this entry will be. No. 3 is Mudang, this looks fresh and new. No. 4 is Cronos, I think Bloober will get the job done. And my 5 is Ninja Gaiden 4, but I'm not convinced yet that it will reach Gaiden 1 and 2.
No thanks. I completed the main game in April. After around 40 hours including a lot of side missions and collectibles, I have enough. This game took way more time than it should have. I enjoyed some riddles and the snake temple. But there was a lot of time, I was bored and disliked it. It's a 7/10 - 7,5/10 at best to me and I won't spend another cent for DLCs.
I think Microsoft should stay with their systems. After what I saw and heard so far, the Switch 2 doesn't seem to be worth it at this point. It's just a machine for Mario Kart World and some sharper Switch 1 games. Almost every game from the Summer Game Show is not coming to Switch 2. And I'm not interested in 3rd party games on Switch 2 if I have a Series X at home.
@Kaloudz as far as I know. The Series X uses a perfect emulation for OG Xbox, 360 and One games. For all of these games, HDD is alright to play them. The modern X/S games need the SSD technic, because it's not possible to load these big datas with older hardware. I think the next XBox, however the name might be in the end, will go on with the same procedure. We'll see, maybe they even use the same SSD generation like the modern one. It's a bit slower than PS5 SSDs, but it's still very fast.
@Kaloudz well that's better than nothing, especially for older games. If they are still available digitally. But no, the prices won't get much better. The M2 SSDs which are used on PS5 didn't get really cheaper over the last years. And from now on, I wouldn't spend that much into this generation anymore. Who knows if Microsoft uses the same expansion cards on their next Xbox.
Crazy. This reminds over here in Germany, there were 2 sale discounts with a Series X console bundled with Diablo 4 for 399€. A friend started with the Series X there. Of course this was before Microsoft were deciding: "hey let's make our consoles more expensive again and again."
It's nice that there's a 4TB option, but I wouldn't pay that money. That's way over the fence for me. I have the 1TB model and an external HDD with 2TB. I can deal with this.
I played Doom The Dark Ages. I'm now in chapter 11 or 12. I'm curious how the 2nd half will be. That's it, wasn't able to play much because of a heavy virus infection which broke out on Friday. This has been the most heavy fever attack in my life so far. And I'm still not through completely.
@AccessibleDaydream yeah. At least with WWE. It doesn't even take 2 years. They were shutting down all online servers for WWE 2K23 several months before 2K25 came out. Felt like a crime.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Xbox Game Of The Year For 2025 So Far?
Doom The Dark Ages is my highlight so far.
2nd is Split Fiction.

I wouldn't be surprised.
Re: Nightdive Studios Teases 'Big Thing' Happening At QuakeCon 2025
I have Quake 4 on Steam, still a solid game. But a Remaster treatment wouldn't hurt.

Re: Poll: When Do You Think Xbox's Next-Gen Console Is Coming Out?
I don't care when it's really coming. I wanna know if it has a disc drive or if they are finally doing the Series S ***** in general.

@TapeLoader fine, smartass. I'm one of those Xbox players, who still buys games physical.
The option should be there for all.

I really wanted to get it, in the meantime I'm very careful and not sure anymore.
Re: Two More Xbox First-Party Games Are Getting 'Code In A Box' Physical Releases In 2025
@Ricky-Spanish it's ok if you like it. But I don't want a way powerless model. I love my Series X.

@Ricky-Spanish ah I see
Re: Xbox Series S To Support 120FPS Gameplay In Gears Of War: Reloaded
@Ricky-Spanish there will be cuts. 120Hz on Series S is a big deal. Details and resolution have to be shrinked down, that's for sure.
Re: Xbox Series S To Support 120FPS Gameplay In Gears Of War: Reloaded
With 360p 3DS resolution 😂
Re: MindsEye Launches Later Today, But Dev Warns Xbox Players To Wait For Day One Patch
It seems that some real players on YouTube actually like it.
I'll keep an eye on it this week and maybe buy it.
Re: MindsEye Launches Later Today, But Dev Warns Xbox Players To Wait For Day One Patch
@Kraven absolutely, nice words.
Re: Two More Xbox First-Party Games Are Getting 'Code In A Box' Physical Releases In 2025
@Ricky-Spanish resolution isn't all as you should know. A lot of games on Series S have heavily reduced details.
Why do you have both?
Re: Two More Xbox First-Party Games Are Getting 'Code In A Box' Physical Releases In 2025
@Ricky-Spanish yeah, technically easy games, like Indie games.

It was good, the best stream this year again. But also not ground breaking. Some games really caught my attention while others didn't.
Re: Xbox Games Showcase 2025: Date, Start Times, Rumours, Leaks & More
High hopes. I guess it will be better than the state of play and Summer Game Fest.

Re: Six Xbox Games Are Shutting Down Their Servers In June 2025
@AccessibleDaydream that's nothing compared to 2K games.
Re: Six Xbox Games Are Shutting Down Their Servers In June 2025
I haven't played XDefiant even once.
Same goes to Resident Evil Reverse.
