Update []: It has since been announced that anyone who owns Little Nightmares (2017) on Xbox will receive the Enhanced Edition for free when it launches, although "the early access is only accessible throughout Little Nightmares 3 digital pre-orders".
The early access, as it turns out, actually begins today if you pre-order Little Nightmares 3, meaning you can get four months' worth of time with Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition before it launches for everyone on October 10th, 2025.
"The early access is only accessible throughout Little Nightmares III digital pre-orders. However, at launch, players who own Little Nightmares (2017) on PlayStation, Xbox and PC will receive the upgraded version for free."
Original Story: Exciting news! Bandai Namco has announced today that Little Nightmares 3 will officially be coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on October 10th, 2025 - but it's not the only new Little Nightmares game we'll be getting.
On the same day, anyone who's pre-ordered Little Nightmares 3 will get access to Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition as well, providing a 4K, 60FPS experience (at least on Xbox Series X) complete with other new features such as ray traced reflections. It seems this Enhanced Edition will be available to buy standalone on Xbox too.
As for Little Nightmares 3, Bandai Namco has released 10 minutes of gameplay from the title today as part of its release date unveiling, and you can watch the video down below. You can now pre-order the game on the Xbox Store starting at £34.99 / $39.99 for the Standard Edition, while the Deluxe Edition with an Expansion Pass is £49.99 / $59.99.
