MindsEye Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S

With MindsEye now officially out on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, we've been curious about how the game is performing on both consoles, and the excellent Fuzion Xbox Testing has provided a helpful comparison for this!

As you can see in the videos below, MindsEye is running at 30FPS on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as things stand, and unfortunately that's with dips as well.

In terms of resolution, the channel estimates that MindsEye is rocking an output of 1440p on the Xbox Series X, while the Xbox Series S version is outputting at 1080p (potentially with a native resolution of around 720p).

There have been a few grumbles across all platforms about MindsEye's performance in the first few hours, which has prompted the game's developer to issue a statement on Reddit. It's specifically directed towards PC players, but also references consoles in terms of making performance improvements. Here's a look:

"Thank you kindly to all of you who joined us as pioneers on day one! We understand that the current minimum spec requirements are very high, but our engineering team are working around the clock to improve performance on mainstream hardware as well as consoles by integrating the performance improvements in Unreal Engine V5.6. We will provide patch 3 update timing, including these improvements, within the next 24 hours. In addition to the main campaign, we would also value your thoughts on Build.Mindseye."

As you can see, it sounds like MindsEye's next update will be with us pretty soon, so it'll be interesting to see how the game evolves on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S when it arrives - and indeed over the coming weeks and months.

You can check out some very early player reviews of MindsEye elsewhere on Pure Xbox, and as mentioned, we're throwing the two Xbox Fuzion Testing videos down below. Xbox Series X is the first one, and Series S is the second.
