@Nic-Noc20th-C did you lose your mind? People who bought the Series S knew from the beginning, what they are not getting. Series S is the trash version of this generation, so Microsoft can sell more subscriptions. Why should Series X users with a disc drive be fooled?
Oh wow, even with Ninja Gaiden 4. That hurts. Of course, Microsoft doesn't like us disc buyers. I can also not use the Rog Ally XBox if 80% of my games are not playable on it. I'm really curious, what the new Xbox will look like.
Keeper is my no.1. It looks so beautiful and promising. No. 2 is Resonance: A Plague Tale, it looks great and I'm really looking forward how this entry will be. No. 3 is Mudang, this looks fresh and new. No. 4 is Cronos, I think Bloober will get the job done. And my 5 is Ninja Gaiden 4, but I'm not convinced yet that it will reach Gaiden 1 and 2.
No thanks. I completed the main game in April. After around 40 hours including a lot of side missions and collectibles, I have enough. This game took way more time than it should have. I enjoyed some riddles and the snake temple. But there was a lot of time, I was bored and disliked it. It's a 7/10 - 7,5/10 at best to me and I won't spend another cent for DLCs.
I think Microsoft should stay with their systems. After what I saw and heard so far, the Switch 2 doesn't seem to be worth it at this point. It's just a machine for Mario Kart World and some sharper Switch 1 games. Almost every game from the Summer Game Show is not coming to Switch 2. And I'm not interested in 3rd party games on Switch 2 if I have a Series X at home.
@Kaloudz as far as I know. The Series X uses a perfect emulation for OG Xbox, 360 and One games. For all of these games, HDD is alright to play them. The modern X/S games need the SSD technic, because it's not possible to load these big datas with older hardware. I think the next XBox, however the name might be in the end, will go on with the same procedure. We'll see, maybe they even use the same SSD generation like the modern one. It's a bit slower than PS5 SSDs, but it's still very fast.
@Kaloudz well that's better than nothing, especially for older games. If they are still available digitally. But no, the prices won't get much better. The M2 SSDs which are used on PS5 didn't get really cheaper over the last years. And from now on, I wouldn't spend that much into this generation anymore. Who knows if Microsoft uses the same expansion cards on their next Xbox.
Crazy. This reminds over here in Germany, there were 2 sale discounts with a Series X console bundled with Diablo 4 for 399€. A friend started with the Series X there. Of course this was before Microsoft were deciding: "hey let's make our consoles more expensive again and again."
It's nice that there's a 4TB option, but I wouldn't pay that money. That's way over the fence for me. I have the 1TB model and an external HDD with 2TB. I can deal with this.
I played Doom The Dark Ages. I'm now in chapter 11 or 12. I'm curious how the 2nd half will be. That's it, wasn't able to play much because of a heavy virus infection which broke out on Friday. This has been the most heavy fever attack in my life so far. And I'm still not through completely.
@AccessibleDaydream yeah. At least with WWE. It doesn't even take 2 years. They were shutting down all online servers for WWE 2K23 several months before 2K25 came out. Felt like a crime.
Just voted on Doom. The only the new game I bought in may. I reached chapter 11 yesterday. It's pure greatness and I still got trough pretty good on ultra violence.
And what a lot of people don't understand. If you're subscribing like for a month of Game Pass Ultimate and in that time period, you're completing like 1 or 2 new games like Doom The Dark Ages. Yeah, than it was a good. It was like renting from a video store.
But many people just pay and pay, month for month, not having the time for all these 800 games. And they still think it's a good deal, acting like it's for free. After canceling the subscription, nothing's there.
"I think game pass will be the healthier option over time, also business wise. It’s still growing unlike the playstation subscription service.
And it’s thé subscription to take if you’re playing games on pc, and in time, on phone as well"
Yeah, maybe healthy for Microsoft, but not the studios. And where is Game Pass growing??? Major faults like porting Gears or Forza to PlayStation is because Game Pass is "not" growing anymore.
I'm with him. That's my talking. And I'm pretty sure thats why several studios had to close or fire employees. Gaming is on a dangerous position right now and Game Pass changed a lot of people's behavior of gaming.
And they yet didn't fix an annoying issue. Everytime I'm in the map screen and return to game, my walking is blocked for a moment. I can't believe this wasn't patched out already.
@Kaloudz if you're using a Series S console, I'm not surprised you're not willing to pay for a pro controller. It's like getting a 200 buck gaming keyboard for using it with a Chromebook. 😁
If they are really improving it, maybe. That means, it needs superb sticks, not these cheap ones from Series 2. Maybe a better d-pad and something like the dualsense feedback would be nice.
I got the Doom controller in the standard version. Not interested in The Witcher at all. And i wouldn't buy another "Elite" controller. (it's not elite)
@Lup for this price, it's alright. I actually played and completed it and sold it after that. It had its flaws, yes. But to be honest, these low scores everywhere weren't that fair. It had good moments, where it surprised me. The graphics were ok, even the atmosphere was pretty strong sometimes. Most annoying to me was the darkness in a lot scenes. It felt like, at least the Xbox version, was flawed there. And some stealth scenes were annoying.
@Ricky-Spanish absolutely. I played and completed it. The game really felt like the developers are in love with the movies. It wasn't perfect, had some little flaws. But I had a good time.
I bet PS5 is getting a disc version, to show the middle finger for XBox fans. But in this case, I can actually deal with it. I didn't play and suppose, I won't. The Gears of War story is a way harder thing, I still can't believe.
Every few months, I'm cleaning my Series X. Not from inside, but I'm using my Dyson hand cleaner add on on the lowest level. I have it around 2 years and a half and no problems so far. I had a few games crashing some months. But it wasn't an issue with heat or dust and I got rid of that problem.
Not hyped and no expectations. If I had a wish, I would wish for Microsoft announcing banger games which are exclusive on XBox. You know, like back then, when games like Dead Rising 3, Crackdown 3 or Sunset Overdrive were actually completely exclusive and Microsoft were trying to sell the Xbox systems. And of course disc versions to all of these games. Not like Microsoft today: "Hellblade 2 on disc? Why? South of Midnight? No Avowed? What is a disc again?"
Absolutely. When I bought my Series X, I already had a PS5 and a Switch. I bought it because of Halo and some exclusives. In the end, it turned into my main system and having more XBox vibes again than with the Xbox One.
I grew up with Nintendo and they still have a place with me. But this time, I will pass. I guess I will get a Switch 2. But it can really wait, I'm not willing to pay these prices and I'm sure, the system will get cheaper. I also don't want these overpriced hardware things like the camera. The express Micro SDs are heavily expensive right now. The hardware isn't that strong and even I want to play the new Mario Kart, I'm chilled and wait a while, I'm in no hurry this time.
What disappointment??? It's coming out next year, that's fine. Every year is stuffed with great games, no one has the time for. This year is no different. I can absolutely deal with it.
@Ricky-Spanish I know, same here. My gaming time is also most of the time in the very late evening. And sometimes I'm so exhausted, that I'm not even in the mood for gaming. Wife and kid is a deadly combination 🫡

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2025?
It was good, the best stream this year again. But also not ground breaking. Some games really caught my attention while others didn't.
Re: Xbox Games Showcase 2025: Date, Start Times, Rumours, Leaks & More
High hopes. I guess it will be better than the state of play and Summer Game Fest.

Really hooked for this as a big Silent Hill fan for years.
