@jikflet really? That were 2 chapters with the bigger world. I actually liked them as a mix of gameplay. It played fast and didn't take too much time.

I took Gears 5.
I completed this game last year for the first time and in the end, I was really surprised in how great it was. I didn't believe it, but in terms of graphics, presentation, atmosphere and gameplay variety, I think this was the best of the Gears games.
After 5 comes 2 for me and than 1.

Interesting. So physical releases should go through the ceiling on XBox Series X.

I have the disc version of the Ultimate Edition. If I don't get the upgrade free, I won't buy it.
I still can't believe, that Microsoft is really giving this to PlayStation, it feels so wrong.
The only benefit is, that Crossplay is a thing now.
And of course, on Playstation front, they will earn money with this release.
Sony should give XBox audience The Last of Us as a sign of thank.

Gears on Playstation, this is too much for my heart. My mood is ruined today. This can't be true.

@TheSimulator 2025 is totally fine. Games like this are rare these days and it looks very good.

@Matthewnh yeah the driving at the beginning also reminded me of Watch Dogs 1.
Besides that, I don't think that Watch Dogs was style over substance.
I don't know what some people were expecting, but I absolutely love this game until this day. All 3 Watch Dogs games are worth playing, but 1 is my all time classic.

I don't see Grand theft Auto here. It looks like a story driven, straight forward action game with gunplay and driving and I absolutely want it.

Well, I still think the Series X is the best console right now and it's actually worth its price.
But for someone, who would start now after over 4 years, it's pretty crazy. The next XBox could arrive in 2027.

Also about 70% of players didn't complete the first chapter of Indiana Jones.
I think, if you're actually buying a game, there's more attraction to play it.
In case of Game Pass Ultimate, I guess most people don't know what to play anymore because of the ridiculous amount of games.

This is really heavy. No generation like this before. Even though I would say, the Series X with disc drive is the worth that price.

That's also a reason, I stopped GP Ultimate. I don't have the time for all of this. It took me like a month to complete Indiana Jones. Now I'm waiting for Doom The Dark Ages and I can't decide what to play in the waiting time. I have way more games than I get to play.

@Krzzystuff PowerA has made wireless Xbox controllers in the meantime with Hall Effect sticks. I recommend those. They use a USB dongle for wireless play

What a horrible evolution.
Maybe it's also due to the delivery problems with the Series X over some weeks. At least in Germany, it's fixed in the meantime.
But there's no denying that digital has the bigger part of sales today.
I still know why I'm buying games physical, but also, physical means full shelves in the living room, so I started buying "some" games digital.

So I'll add this to my collection this year.

Definitely, from the modern MW series, this had the absolutely best campaign.

As far as I know, streaming is already available trough XBox Game Pass Ultimate.
Or is it about games, which are not inside the Game Pass library?
I would enjoy a better option to stream my disc games to my tablet.

@Millionski oh yes, I'm very interested. The thing is, I can't get rid of that: I want to own these games.
So games, I really want, I buy these. It makes me happier than just paying for a subscription. It feels like endless paying.
For the wallet, I guess it's smarter just using Game Pass Ultimate.
And with my physical collection, I'm so busy that i realized, it's not worth it for me.
For some indie games, I say Game Pass is great. For example: Unpacking
I had a great time, great game. It was short, it was fun. I don't need to own this.
But games like Atelier Yumia, Doom The Dark Ages, Indiana Jones, I just need to buy these.

@Millionski I have an opinion about subscriptions. Not that I'm totally against everything.
I think for some people, Game Pass Ultimate is a good deal. And of course stacking is still possible.
For me personally, Ultimate just isn't worth it anymore.

I ordered mine already. The standard Series Wireless one, shut up and take my money.
But they can keep that Elite model, never again will i buy that crap thing.

I have no special game in mind.
I would absolutely party a new wave of backwards compatible games, some missing ones from OG XBox or some more from 360.
Beyond that, I wish that more people start realizing how great XBox Series X is.

I playing this right now, I'm in the Himalaya chapter. So I played this way more than 70% of XBox gamers who didn't even complete the first chapter. 😁
I like it, even if it has some flaws.

Since I don't use Ultimate anymore, I will wait for a price drop. But I'm really looking forward to it.
