Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Checks On Dev 'Progress' Of Gears Of War: E-Day

Phil Spencer when entering The Coalition studios:
"hey you lazy developers, keep the release window in mind and make that game bug free! You know, the fools out there have to keep paying for Game Pass Ultimate.
And if you don't deliver, you have to make a PS5 version after release and this studio is shut down and you all lose your job!!!
So keep working! "

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade 2025's Xbox Developer Direct?

Well, not good!
Everything comes to PC and PS5.
Why should anyone care about XBox anymore, when Microsoft throws away everything? I even saw that Ninja Gaiden Black 2 gets a disc version on PS5 and it seems only on PS5.
XBOX is lost, the only benefit on that platform is: "Day1 on Game Pass"

@OLD64FOREVER yes it is. It's crazy, but playing those games after such a long time makes me feel, why so many people are saying, that games aren't as good anymore as they where back then.
A lot of PS2 games still hold up well. I'm playing GTA 3, which was my first PS2 game in 2001 and I'm surprised how much fun it is today.
Developers like Capcom, Namco or Sega where so creative in that time, they just made games without play times around 60+++ hours.
And that's what I don't like about modern games, when you put aside these 4K ray traced visuals, what stays isn't better in many cases compared to 2001, it's often weaker.
In many modern games, I have the feeling, beating those games I like work, not like fun.
Games nowadays are offering 100 side missions with boring backgrounds, collectibles, cosmetics, skill trees, crafting. A lot of things distracting from the actual gameplay which should be just fun.

Re: Xbox Is Making Big Changes To Avatars In January 2025

Ok. It's actually not that surprising, since those Avatars have no use anymore. I recently made my Avatar look a bit better, so it was no use.
It's kinda sad, that XBox is losing more and more individuality.
I remember a time on XBox 360, where they really started a family campaign, party games and those 360 avatars, which could be used in several games.
Nothing of that is anymore, it's just "this Gamepass" console today.
