Us Xbox gamers are spoilt with such a robust backwards compatibility system, games like this can be played whenever the mood takes us.
For others though it's a fantastic release and one that gamers (including myself) have been crying out for since forever. Lets hope it's real this time!
While I'm hoping... a Switch release would be just splendid

It was a close call between Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instinct Gold and Banjo-Kazooie.
In the end I went for Banjo-Kazooie, an absolute classic. I still think about that game and hum its various tunes on an almost daily basis

I love using my Switch. If I can get that 'off screen' experience with Xbox it'll be a dream come true.
My wife has the TV? No worries, I can play on my Surface

That's a hard no to free multiplayer from my point of view. Not the end of the world of course but it would've been quite a statement.

I know it was easy enough to play before but this is great news.

I'll be able to fire up my Surface and play Xbox games while my wife has the TV. Something only the Switch allowed me to do previously

I guess this means Spiderman isn't woven into the narrative in any way? That's worrying in itself. An Avengers title that doesn't have Spidey is a crying shame. I had no plans to buy it (I'm a DC guy 😍) but I feel for the Marvel fans who were excited to have a complete Avengers game.

This is a fantastic idea.
Touch controls don't interest me to be honest but considering it's gonna be tablets and phones people will be using to run xCloud it makes perfect sense.
It fits perfectly with their focus on accessibility

It didn't bother me personally. What I like about this is that most people didn't like it, so they took it onboard and changed it. Good stuff.

Fingers crossed for an August info blowout! Lockhart, price, LIVE details, new Series X enhanced titles. Should be an awesome month for Xbox

I went with Wasteland 3. Close call though.

I would absolutely like to see a sequel! I thoroughly enjoyed the first game, a very underrated title.

Next stage would surely be OG Xbox and Xbox 360 tabs in the store to make it even clearer and easy to by back compat games

Oh man, just had a great idea. Because of this it's very likely we'll see a Battle Pass or equivalent right. Imagine if we see crossover rewards like Sea of Thieves!! Pirate armour, KI armour (Fulgore would be great!), Gears armour, hell, Banjo Kazooie armour!! 😁 I'm not talking garish cosplay outfits, just subtle armour designs based on those IPs 😍

Oh, and if there are any other new Dads reading this, make sure you buy a Switch. Suspend/Resume plus mobility makes it essential for Dad Life haha I can squeeze in 3 1/2 minutes of gaming at a moments notice and be ready for duty in an instant

As a reasonably new Dad I just can't stress enough how much of an impact Gamepass has on my gaming life. The money I save each year is staggering. I have GP all paid up until this time next year. Gaming is basically free for me now. Incredible 😍

In an ocean of great news, this little tidbit was a massive deal for me. Gareth Coker is a sublime composer, I listen to the Ori scores all the time at work. Gareth and Halo is an amazing pairing 😍

I went Halo. I watched the show again this morning and in total there are 16 games that I'm excited to play in that line up! The best part? I'll only have to pay for one of them

Oh and on the subject of Ori. I just found out that Gareth Coker, the man behind Ori's seminal soundtrack, is working on Halo Infinite. Massive news 😍

This was a highlight for me. The atmosphere captured in this trailer is superb.

If this was a surprise it would've been mind blowing. The problem for most of us, we follow the industry so closely that we knew it was coming. Because we 'knew', the lack of any gameplay or at least something more was disappointing.
