Re: With Xbox's 'Project Helix' Revealed, How Likely Is A 2027 Release Date?

Krzzystuff

Unless Xbox does another Olympic gold level pivot we're getting this is 2027, it will cost an arm and a leg (throw in a kidney as well) and this is the offramp from consoles to PC and as such will be the last one that Xbox makes..they will licence the "Xbox" software to other's and we'll have an under the TV PC made by Acer etc.

I'm interested in this hybrid console but with a series X at home I'll be holding out for a while before upgrading. Expecting the Canadian price tag to be expletive inducing.

Re: 'We Have Good Reasons To Believe In What's Ahead', Insists New Xbox Chief Content Officer

Krzzystuff

We can look for negatives or positives in all theses statements but history has shown it doesn't matter what's said. Hopefully they focus on making great games, sounds like it will definitely be with AI in some shape or fashion but that's where the world is going. Tine will tell what happens.

I do believe they will launch the hybrid console next year at a profit whatever the price is, that this will be the last first party device and that they are going for the seemless PC/Cloud experience no matter the device. They are 3rd party now and might licence out the chip for back compat but honestly i think they might just do a one n done with that. Riding out the series x until we know what gaming looks like in 2-3 years

Re: Xbox Is Reportedly Releasing A Brand-New Controller Revision In 2026

Krzzystuff

Deal with the stick drift!!! I don't care which tech they use, hall effect or whatever the newer one is, but it has to have one of those. I've refused to get a controller from them because of the stick drift issues. I have a wired gamesir that I use with the series X and I haven't had any issues...I'd love a design lab wireless one from the kids... but not until they get them new sticks.

Re: Valve Admits Its New Console Plans Have Been Affected By Component Crisis

Krzzystuff

Heard on one of the Xbox podcasts that they were told 2027 or nothing for their console. The handheld is officially dead and this will be their last hardware. OEM devices will likely be around but the hybrid unit is launching next year at a profit regardless of the market conditions or not coming at all....so it's going to be out n expensive.

@Lup I loved the game until act 3 and then I was lost. I found my way after a bit of googling but I almost stopped playing it. I'm not down with grinding for XP just because, I know a lot of games out there do that but that wasn't my jam. However, the annoying last chapter can't erase the fact that Acts 1&2 we're amazing, the music and gameplay was phenomenal and I cared about the characters. So I have no issues with them cleaning up with the awards as they earned it.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing Over Christmas Break?

Krzzystuff

I got arc raiders, it's not too bad. Gonna put some more time into it and playing it with a crew hopefully helps it out. Definitely not as impressive as I was expecting it to be. I'm hoping to play some more cosmic invasion with the kids, we're building roller coasters in Minecraft on the PC with a mod and I've started pillers of eternity.

Re: Talking Point: How Much Time Have You Spent Gaming On Xbox Consoles This Year?

Krzzystuff

I primarily play in the series X but x cloud has definitely been getting more use as of late from me. Nothing beats playing it on a TV though so if given the option I'm playing it there. I only play certain games on the phone as I want the proper experience for something like South of Midnight where I've not issue playing monster train or ball x pit on the phone.

Re: Xbox & Activision Issue Statement On The Future Of Call Of Duty Following Black Ops 7 Backlash

They getting stomped out here and that's good. They can't take people's time and money for granted. They likely weren't expecting BF6 to actually show out and really seems that Arc Raiders took everyone by surprise. Now next year they need to put out a solid product and in a tighter deadline as they need to be out in October to avoid November incase GTA6 actually does launch. Really put themselves in a bad spot. I'm sure that there's definitely some pain being felt from the eye of Satya and the Hoods demanded layoffs, but you can't be launching buggy products and hoping to fix it later.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Could Go Up In Price Again Due To Potential RAM Shortages, It's Claimed

Krzzystuff

They are making these things to order basically so I highly doubt they have any major stock of components and as such will be exposed to any increases. Also they definitely don't buy in volumes as well so I wouldn't be surprised that they raise the price again. They are making the next Gen device which will not be subsidized at all and cost over $1K easily...it's their last first party device in my eyes. OEM device's might be around still but I feel like the next Gen is their offramp from dedicated hardware.

Re: Black Ops 7's Messy Campaign Is Being Detached From 'Endgame' Mode This Week

Krzzystuff

I'm glad they have such a poor product out at a time that there's so much competition. Hopefully they see a hit to the bottom line and actually put in an effort going forward to make a solid product. I playef some MP last night for the first time and it's not bad but I'm not really into it. Waiting for BF6 to be in EA play and my buddies and I are debating buying Arc to have something for us to play as a group in the meantime. You gotta respect people's time, can't just assume folks will be playing your game if you put minimum effort and launch it with bugs.

Re: It's A Big Birthday For The Xbox Series X, So Let's Look Back At Our Review From 2020

Krzzystuff

I still remember having 3 screens open trying to get one on launch day and actually getting one from the Microsoft store. I would check it every few weeks to make sure I still had it and the day it got delivered....my wife was debating hiding it until Christmas as she was the one who received it.... still married....she didn't hide it. It's a fantastic machine and I've no regrets buying it over a PS5 that I originally started saving up for. I hope the future is still bright for Xbox but the series X was and is an amazing console.

Re: Huge Xbox Report Details 'Ambitious' Next-Gen Console With Free Online Play

Krzzystuff

Sounds good but I'ma hold the hype until it's actually released, reviewed and likely on sale lol. Would be great to have all that access in one spot without the PC tweaking and twerking , but I want to see how it all actually plays out. I'll have 2 years of rewards points saved up to cash in at a best buy or Microsoft store to go towards it if it's actually good.

Re: Sarah Bond: Our Next-Gen Console Will Be 'Very Premium' & Informed By ROG Xbox Ally

Krzzystuff

Future gamers are playing Roblox on old tablets with broken screens and they don't care. This would be such a niche market if it's $1.5K USD. I'm excited about the PC/Console hybrid idea but this is a hobby and I'd much rather save money for a family vacation then spend a few grand on a console. I have GPU stacked for 2 years and I'll be saving up rewards points to see if I cash them in towards the new Xbox, PlayStation, likely not switch as it's a kids toy in my eyes still, or something else? Might just ride the series X until it dies and call it quits on gaming? I'm not paying $2K CAD for a gaming system.

Re: These 12 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (October 8-21)

Krzzystuff

If they make a console PC hybrid that doesn't actually require any of the tweaking and twerking of PC gaming I'd likely get it. Best of both worlds, let's see how it all goes. Hopefully it's also upgradable over time with off the shelf parts.... that memory card was such a disaster when you look how much it still costs today.
