Re: Xbox's Chief Marketing Officer Is Leaving Microsoft To Join Roblox

Krzzystuff

There's always been something wrong with the marketing of Xbox. Not saying it's this guy at all, I'm wondering if it's a Microsoft issue where they just don't have any budget for marketing so they are doing a great job with the scraps afforded to them? I can't see how you could keep people in their roles otherwise....cuz as everyone is saying.... Xbox marketing is abysmal

Re: Talking Point: How Are You Feeling About Fable After The Xbox Games Showcase?

Krzzystuff

This game looks like it's going to be awesome. I vaguely recall playing the first one on my younger brother's Xbox back in the day but I've really never gone far in it....so I'll say I've never played one. I'll have to play through them as folks are speculating that the sister of someone from the first games is the evil villain? Also the Don't care if we play as the female on the game, seen some arguing that they should have multiple characters to choose from.

Re: Xbox Veteran Suggests Recent Decisions 'Probably Aren't Being Made By Phil Spencer'

Krzzystuff

There's been numerous reports of infighting at MS over Xbox and what they need to do. We had people leak out all the potential games on the table to go to other platforms and now this. I believe that it is now Microsoft gaming, no longer Xbox, and as they've shown historically MS isn't worried about doing a 180 on a dime if excel shows it's good for the bottom line. That's what's happening now. I wouldn't be shocked if Phil is gone by the end of the year.

Re: Former Microsoft Exec Gives 'Two Reasons' Why Xbox Closed Bethesda Teams

Krzzystuff

I'm no legal expert but isn't it an issue when you say all first party will be day n date, go on record to say CoD will be in gamepass day n date....and then don't put it in the service day n date? There's definitely a lawsuit coming and it's going to kill the brand. I can't see this actually happening, I'm expecting that the new CoD will be in gamepass and it's going to be announced in June as such.

But typical Xbox, horrible communication resulting in negative speculation and rumours that will run rampant and further erode the brand until June.

I'm definitely not buying anything on the platform until i see what their actual plans are. Have gamepass for over 2.5 year's stacked so I'll ride it out until then and make a decision on where to spend my money when I have to spend it next.

Re: Starfield Is Getting A 60FPS Performance Mode On Xbox Series X

Krzzystuff

@JoakimZ they only way that games will launch completed again is if people stop pre-ordering and just don't play it on gamepass or buy it at launch if it's broken.

Money is all that talks so if they launch it and it sells then they don't have to change anything clearly.

Don't be a beta tester, wait 6 months and buy it a half price with twice the features.

Re: Reminder: Six Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Early Next Week

Krzzystuff

I just rolled credits on Ravenlok and really enjoyed it. It a nice short game and is kids version of a soul's like? Either way it was enjoyable and if you have time to finish it before it leaves I'd say give it a go.

Also this was the first time that I saw them tell you that you can buy the game at a discount before it leaves GP right when you boot it up.

Re: Which Activision Blizzard Game Do You Want Next On Xbox Game Pass?

Krzzystuff

It's gotta be a modern CoD and they really need to actually try and market gamepass and the fact that CoD is in there of they are actually trying to make this a success. What's the point otherwise. The casual consumer that they are so desperately trying to get doesn't know about gamepass....it needs actual marketing... I know that it's crazy but it's true.

Re: Phil Spencer On Porting Exclusives: 'Every Decision We Make Is To Make Xbox Stronger'

Krzzystuff

They really need to make the next Gen a PC basically without any of the PC hassle. That way a dev just has to make a PC game and it can work on the "console". Eliminate the extra time of making an Xbox port. The worry without that option is that if they do go semi/full third party they will lose support of more and more titles because there will be less of a need to own Xbox hardware to play their games. There isn't any example in history of a third party publisher with it's own console....I don't see how it can work without it being able to play PC games and requiring an Xbox port.

Re: Major Game Maker Reportedly Questioning Xbox Support Amidst 'Falling Sales'

Krzzystuff

I'm not techy so can someone explain why the next Xbox can't just be like a PC from a developer standpoint? I'm really enjoying Xbox and gamepass but it's looking like ABK was a poisoned chalice. Now that gaming is a key pillar in the financials vs a footnote shareholders and the board care about it and are likely the cause of the push to move software to other platforms. The messaging is crap as usual and it's hard to justify spending money on digital games when you might not be on the platform in the future. I don't like playing on PC so just give me something that I can plug and play into a TV and I'm good... just make sure it has developers support.

Hence the "can it just run PC games but not have the hassle of a PC ?" question. That way it's a non issue as PC will always have support.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Thing About Xbox Right Now?

Krzzystuff

Gamepass, controller, rewards points, cloud saves and cloud gaming. It's very convenient and for someone who can't always play infront of the tv having the ability to play on a phone or laptop if needed and just carry on with the progression is really great.
Also tbaggin mofos in Infinite is always a good time lol. Fiesta or Husky raid is just pure mayham.

Oh also how fast and quiet the series x is and quick resume.... beautiful stuff.

Re: 10 Xbox Games Are Shutting Down Their Servers In March 2024

Krzzystuff

@GuyinPA75 if it's actually the full playable game on the physical disk/cartridge then yes it's definitely the best way to go. But in reality a ton of physical media is just wasted resources for something that you're going to have to download digitally anyways because it's not actually on the disk/cartridge.

I expect limited run physical copies will be a niche market for collectors and that's all. Not sure how you could stop that change from happening as the average consumer doesn't care about having a physical copy so neither do the publishers.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Immediate Reaction To Today's Xbox Announcements?

Krzzystuff

@themightyant I still think that they were having conversations about going different ways, likely where the leaks came from. Not sure if the other side was winning and that's why things got leaked or if someone saw a slide or overhead them talking about pros and cons of one of the more nuclear options and thought it was a real thing? Companies look at multiple scenarios always, it's just business. End of the day it's not the Apocalypse and hopefully people can buy their Xboxes back that they sold...

Re: Ubisoft CEO Questioned About Xbox Potentially 'Going Multi-Platform'

Krzzystuff

@GamingFan4Lyf unfortunately Xbox is a brand that negative news generates a ton of income for all the news sites. It also sounds like people internally leaked this data because they didn't like where thing's were going so they definitely were counting on this blowing up so that a response is necessary. It will hopefully also douse some of the MS influence that's clearly based on numbers alone and not understanding the industry.

Xbox/MS just knows how to score own goals, no other company has a history like them surely

Re: Ubisoft CEO Questioned About Xbox Potentially 'Going Multi-Platform'

Krzzystuff

@GamingFan4Lyf Listen if this was all fake they would have said so in a tweet right away. Xbox is now a key pillar of Microsoft's revenue stream and as a result is in the eyes of the board and shareholders. This push for more revenue isn't coming from Xbox, it's being pushed down from MS and we're going to see what they settle on for the short term next week. Everyone is going to be an app on a screen in the future, is this just another case of Microsoft pushing the eventual reality out too soon.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Expect To See From Microsoft's Update On The Future Of Xbox?

Krzzystuff

No idea what to expect but i believe that since Xbox went from a little footnote in the financials to 3rd largest we are now seeing the result of it. Being the redheaded stepchild had it benefits, now the board and shareholders are paying attention and they want more money. I believe there's differing views between Xbox and Microsoft leadership and that were going to see some Microsoft lead changes.... which won't appeas any fanboy logic. I hope that they don't mess it up too much.

Re: Xbox's Physical Games Departments Reportedly Affected By Microsoft Layoffs

Krzzystuff

@MrMagic I'm sure they would love to go all digital tomorrow. They will let Xbox go first to take the heat and they will go not long after. Next Gen will be all digital but they likely will start in 2026/27 once Xbox got beat up about it and everything settles down.

Is PC is 100% digital? PC ain't my jam so not sure if it already is and of so for how long?

Re: Microsoft CEO Says ActiBlizz Deal Helps Xbox Become 'A Good Publisher' On All Platforms

Krzzystuff

I imagine consoles will be a thing of the past in the next 15-20 years, we have like 2 maybe 3 more gens and then it's just going to be an app on any screen, with controllers for us old folks optional. Also Xbox sharing their toys will benefit them with their next acquisition as they've said repeatedly they will be making more deals. Satya said under oath he doesn't like exclusives as well. So no they aren't going third party publisher route, they are making more hardware and positioning themselves for the eventuality when consoles don't exist, but it's not next week as some folks in the comments seem to think.
