Re: Redfall Dev Says The Team Is 'Continuing To Improve' The Xbox Title

Krzzystuff

Lol I'm literally listening to Dee Batch lose his marbles on RDX about the state this game was released in as i come across this article.

This game deserves to die as a message to Xbox that this isn't okay. No one made them release this...was the management team again in the dark as to its state...if so that's just admitting you ain't doing your job. Someone needs firing and it ain't at Arkane.

But since it took them a year or more to do anything about how they delayed Halo after having all that 3rd party marketing I'm doubtful they will do anything.

Said it many times, love Phil and his vision and all, but they need someone with more grit running game development. Who's checking in with the studios, holding them accountable, giving them support...pre launch support to be specific. I'm hearing they sent a team to help Arkane....post launch? Any other company we'd see folks updating their LinkedIn a long time ago.

Re: Microsoft Says To Expect 'New Surprises And First-Looks' From Xbox Games Showcase 2023

Krzzystuff

Looking forward to this. The Xbox showcases are the only events that I actually watch vs just glancing at what's been announced and maybe watching a trailer.

They definitely put a lot of pressure on the show from a general public viewpoint but I'm just excited to see what's coming to gamepass that we didn't know about. Just please.... please don't announce any dates that you don't know 100% you're going to hit. Maybe just hold off until it's gone gold and has a few patches ready before announcing a date

Re: Titanfall Game Director Working On 'Something New' At EA

Krzzystuff

@awp69 i agree it's still one of the best shooter campaigns and multiplayer was amazing and i only came across the game at the end of its life.

Let's be honest, they are making cash off of APEX and won't do anything to potentially drop their engagement over there. The multiplayer servers still down for Titanfall 1&2?

Re: Review: Redfall - Arkane's Undead Experiment Brings Mixed Results To Xbox Game Pass

Krzzystuff

So by this point in most other companies there would be heads on chopping blocks no? Someone inside the company approved this for release....who? They delayed it and didn't have to launch it this year but they chose to...but why? What state was this in last year?

They really need to get more help to overlook the studios and/or fire some of the current folks doing this cuz they clearly just suck at their job lol. I imagine arcane wanted more time? Could they have thought this would be ready and they screwed up? Bit again before a date was given i would have thought booty or his equivalent would have gone out to see the product and should have said no, more time in the oven.

Re: EA Details Major Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Krzzystuff

This game will be puring like a kitten when it comes to gamepass lol. I'm curious if FOMO is their justification for launching buggy games on purpose or is FOMO covering up the cracks of unintentional broken launches? Honestly there's no reason for them to hold a game back if it's just being bought up in the broken state anyways. Day one players are the final beta testers nowadays.

Re: Talking Point: Where Does Xbox Go Next If ActiBlizz Deal Falls Through?

Krzzystuff

@Krazee5255 i like Phil, seems like a great dude and is clearly a gamer. Without any actual knowledge of how he manages I get the impression that he's too soft n cuddly n needs someone sterner to help with actually running things. This isn't a video game commune, it's a business with customers to please. Glad the devs have kombucha on tap and all but please get your games out polished and in a timely manner. Again.... just getting the impression they are very happy go lucky and it's why things are like they are. Don't go full Kotik on them....but halfway between the two.

Re: Talking Point: Where Does Xbox Go Next If ActiBlizz Deal Falls Through?

Krzzystuff

I like their comments afterwards that their decision is global and it can't go through without their approval. Hopefully it rubs the EU in the wrong way. It's all just hopes n dreams now.

But really they need to focus on their actual games because it really does feel like this deal has just taken all of their attention away from what they are actually supposed to be doing. Let the lawyers lawyer and focus on your own stuff. Give booty a call and ask him what's going on, when have you actually done something? Can I have proof? Lol.

Re: Microsoft Signs New 10-Year Deal Despite UK ActiBlizz Verdict

Krzzystuff

It's funny that the CMA is saying this is bad for competition and all the Xbox cloud competitors are saying that they want this deal because it will be beneficial for them. Almost like....the CMAs decision wasn't based on rational reasoning. They definitely trying to stack their deck for the appeal. But alas it's all about the EU now.

Re: Report: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Reassures Employees Following UK ActiBlizz Decision

Krzzystuff

Folks just assume it's dead until EU says otherwise. If they say no as well the ABK shareholders will take that $3B fee and carry on. I expect Xbox will have the next marketing deal for CoD no matter what happens and Xbox will definitely pursue other opportunities. Pretty sure ABK was a once in a lifetime opportunity that came up and wasn't actually something they actually had in their roadmap. So get it approved or blocked, but get back on track.

Re: Talking Point: Where Does Xbox Go Next If ActiBlizz Deal Falls Through?

Krzzystuff

@Kaloudz again I'm looking at it like it's dead and EU has to bring it back to life or just leave it in the grave. Nothing will happen with the CMA before the EU decision and if they block it then the shareholders of ABK will just take their $3B and it's done n dusted. If they pass it then we get to get excited again. The CMA actually mentioned in a BBC article where Sam's just slammed the UK as a place to invest in that their decision is global and deal can't go through at all. That seems like an overreach and I'm sure they don't want it to be just UK gamers benefiting from their protection while the rest of the world suffers with increased gamepass value. But until EU says otherwise.... we're just poking a corpse with a stick currently.

Re: Talking Point: Where Does Xbox Go Next If ActiBlizz Deal Falls Through?

Krzzystuff

@Kaloudz time to let the woke ones to go to bed. I'm not sure if Phil survives this or not, but the ones below him looking after studios will either increase in number and have less studio's to look after in greater detail or might be on the chopping blocks. Xbox just needs to embrace that the public will always ***** on them so become the wrestling heel n take them gloves off. Buy n close square lol. But i definitely expect CoD marketing to be with Xbox from now on. Get them maps, early access n everything else Sony got. Make Xbox the default version and port to Sony. Give Jim his nightmares of an inferior CoD!

Re: Talking Point: Where Does Xbox Go Next If ActiBlizz Deal Falls Through?

Krzzystuff

They have stated multiple times they are after mobile as that's where the growth is. I believe in this week's Xboxera podcast they were talking about potential future targets abd Sega actually has a big mobile presence. So I'd say them. It definitely something with a mobile presence though.

Console market is small and stagnant so they will be looking for the big growth area's which are mobile and PC.

Hopefully put some major focus on internal management of the studios they have cuz it looks very loosey goosey

Re: Activision Blizzard Criticises UK Verdict As Microsoft Takeover Gets Declined

Krzzystuff

@themightyant the optics could be significant for business investment as a whole in the UK if the EU passes it. Many of you have stated that the UK government does things weird. Why invest in the UK when just a few hours away you get better treatment? So yeah it's coming off a bit childish but at the same time it's a hot topic for the government and business in general. So a good string to pluck.

Re: Microsoft Will Appeal UK Decision To Block Activision Blizzard Purchase

Krzzystuff

@Sol4ris i don't think Nadela is harmed by any of this even Phil. They definitely need more focusing the studios and marketing, I'm seeing some Starfield stuff started today so we'll see how it goes. But I've said it a bunch that Phil sold the dream of gaming to MS but they need someone else to implement it. Not sure he needs to be axed for that to happen but they need more sleepy vs woke folks below to get things moving

Re: Xbox's Activision Blizzard Deal Officially Blocked In The UK

Krzzystuff

ROFL damn I didn't see that one coming. The reasoning is kinda crap. Seems they are blocking it because it would require work on their part? Well, is this it then? Next month EU has their verdict, if it's different than clearly this will carry on for a lot longer. Not sure if they can appeal this but the decision that we require a deal that doesn't have any work for us doesn't seem like sound logic. Anyways....this is WOW!

Re: Xbox Gaming Revenue Down 4% YoY In Latest Earnings Report

Krzzystuff

They gotta be putting them chip's towards xcloud servers vs making consoles right? I wonder if looking at the roadmap internally they saw that they had a drought coming for software and decided to build up the server's before focusing on making more consoles when the games actually start rolling out. ABK they were confident about but always was a risk so i don't think they would have decided solely on that.

End of the day they rich as ***** still and Sony hopefully keeps giving them hard competition to protect our wallets. If Jimbo isn't lying for a change and all them Sony customers leave the platform in droves they might become arrogant like Sony.

Re: Talking Point: Next Month, It'll Be 10 Years Since The Xbox One Reveal Event

Krzzystuff

I've only started with the series X for Xbox and didn't following gaming media before either so really didn't know all the happenings of the Xbox one launch outside of reading year's after that it was bad. Media wise series X launch with a lot of buzz but they definitely drop the ball often and last year was really poor. Now personally i still have more than i could possibly play but the vibe around the platform was bad. This year they got off to a great start and then just fell flat on their faces again. Hopefully it's just the distraction of ABK because they really need to get back on track. I still think it's time for some new blood to come in and ensure that the studios are running smoothly and being held accountable and have support where needed. Phil sold the dream but now it's time for someone to come in and deliver the dream. He doesn't need to leave, just have some new folk's run things to report to him. Greeny is fun but legit they don't market anything outside of a tweet. He's just gotta go. If it's a budget thing then he hasn't convinced them for a bigger budget yet so still a failure in my eyes.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Leave Xbox Game Pass If Microsoft Removed Its Exclusives?

Krzzystuff

They would definitely have to drop their pricing and add other content in there. I don't see how this would be viable for them, the massive negative news would definitely cripple them as let's be honest they are pushing gamepass. Xbox has been suffering as a result of them focusing on the ABK deal and on PC growth. Gamepass was a massive reason why i switched from playstation and got my series X.

Interesting talking point but i think this would kill all of their gaming division and big papa Microsoft would drop the business. So i don't see them ever doing it.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Exclusive Hi-Fi RUSH 'Didn't Make The Money It Needed To Make'

Krzzystuff

Now this might be a stretch here but give it some thought....what if....if...they are trying to mend relations with Square and are being disappointed it didn't achieve some unreachable goal? It definitely sounds like square.

Now this is all roumor but it doesn't make sense. You have a new IP in a niche genre that's way out of what you expect from the studio being shadow dropped and excluding switch and PlayStation....and in your service. It generated so much hype and positive vibes I can't imagine what expectations they had to be disappointed. It was high in the Steam charts and i believe tango officially said it exceed their expectations no?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 15-16)

Krzzystuff

I'm carrying on in Outriders. I had it sitting idle for like a year, booted it up for a weekly quest and just really enjoyed it. Might try n get a few last level ups for the kids in Fall Guy's before the new season hits as well.... some orange shark suit is within grasp and they need some help getting it.

Re: Poll: Do You Think Starfield Will Contain A 'Performance Mode' On Xbox Series X|S?

Krzzystuff

@NEStalgia side note to 30fps I'm starting to feel like Phil needs to take a step back and let someone else come in and run things. He's the visionary that sold the dream internally and got buy in and budget for gaming....but Xbox just doesn't seem like they are managed appropriately. They are too hads off... don't be up their asses....but have your fingers rubbing their cornhole so they know you are there and expect results. And Phil just doesn't seem to like butt stuff.

Re: Poll: Do You Think Starfield Will Contain A 'Performance Mode' On Xbox Series X|S?

Krzzystuff

So I'm more hopeful vs believe that it will have a 60 fps mode at launch. Todd already said he prefers fidelity over frames and it's been delayed twice already (yes they delayed it from June). It's going to be a massive ***** storm if this thing is a buggy mess and 30 fps, only because MS owns them. If they were independent still it would just be expected and folks would move on.....but they have that Xbox hatred tax on them now.

Re: Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Delayed Until February 2024

Krzzystuff

@SplooshDmg we need a behind the scenes documentary so we can understand if it's just really hard to make games currently and anything that was being worked in during COVID is a mess....or if the industry is just making a bunch of ***** decisions. Suicide Squad just looks like a ***** decision but it's been mostly negative things recently. Hi-fi Rush was the surprise positive thing this year.
