After Asha Sharma first teased the news last week, Microsoft has today revealed that the new console start-up animation is rolling out to Xbox Insiders today, with a full rollout to come to all Series X|S players in the coming weeks.

The 'new boot up experience', as the team calls it, features "a new animation and sound" - along with "the new Xbox logo" placed front and centre.

"We’ve updated the console boot up experience with a new animation and sound, featuring the new Xbox logo with the signature green players know so well. You’ll see and hear the update when you power on your console, bringing a refreshed look and feel from the moment you jump in."

In addition to this new start-up animation for Xbox Series X|S, the team has also unveiled 'tiered Gamerscore badges' that are handed out depending on how much Gamerscore a user has earnt. These badges range from 1,000 to 10 million Gamerscore, and will display as follows on your profile and guide - first for Xbox Insiders:

These badges appear on your profile and in the Guide, making it easy to see your achievement history at a glance. As your total Gamerscore grows, your badge evolves with you, reflecting every milestone along the way."

Finally, this June Xbox Insider update is rounded out by a new Games & Apps feature that lets you filter titles based on access. What's owned by you, has been shared to you or is playable on a different device will now be clearer to all Xbox users.

"Quickly see what you can play and why. New filters make it easy to separate games you own from those shared with you and identify installed titles you no longer have access to. Whether you’re switching devices or jumping between consoles, it’s now clearer what’s in your library and what’s actually playable."

These new Xbox features will be live starting today, May 13, for Insiders - and in the coming weeks for the broader Xbox user base.
