Wow that poll result, Fable after FH6? Rumored in development since 2017 and announced by Playground in 2020, initial release date set for 2025... and were thinking Playground is going to crank out FH6 first?

Seems insane, we'll see. Have there been stories it's in dev hell? I haven't paid much attention to it to be honest.

That game is like a wonderful fever dream, everything from the gameplay to the story to the Blind Guardian concert. I need to buy it and replay it.

I also want to get into Monster Hunter Stories.

Nothing here is going to break into my backlog. I played and liked the first Moonlighter but that was a different time when I had much more time to play games.

BG2 was my favorite CRPG for over 20 years, but was finally surpassed. HOMM3 will probably never be surpassed, so it's got my vote.

I think the entire thing sinks or swims based on price, like every console before it. $200 killed the ps3 and $100 killed the Xbox one.

They already made mcc, just put mcc on Playstation. This is an extra money grab. I think they don't want to split more multiplayer halo away from infinite or whatever the next game will be. I think they want every Halo player playing a f2p cash shop game.

The only possible good that could come of this is if they do 1 at a time and when they get to Halo 3, it gets the full remake treatment including cutscenes. But I'm not holding my breath.

This game was Darktide but much worse in every aspect. Its failure wasn't due to marketing, it's not a good game.

Imagine thinking directX box wasn't referring to a console. They rebranded MGS to XGS in an effort to hide the fact that Xbox is dying. It looks like someone here really lapped that s*** up, lmao.

Also, even using their asinine definitions, Xbox is not all of Microsoft gaming. Sarah Bond is the president of Xbox. Her boss, Phil Spencer, is the CEO of Microsoft Gaming.

These guys rule. Only recently did I discover they also made Magicka, another all time great co-op game. Based on these 2 games I'm pretty sure we'll see more dpad inputs under pressure and lots of friendly fire mayhem and I'm gonna be there day 1.

Long shot but I really hope they bring Magicka back on Xbox, I bought it back then on PC.

Deeprock Galactic Survivor, my 5 year old LOVES this game. She has gone from barely being able to use the analog sticks in stuff like the Bluey game and fall guys to a total pro. Parents of young ones, don't sleep on this.

I only play games at home, so buying this would be flushing (a lot of) money down the toilet.

Shooters over perform on Xbox. Many genres, like JPRGs, underperform. Always been the case even at Xbox's height and nothing has changed.

This was a console for dudebros from the start, and Phil Spencer's Xbox largely abandoned them when rebuilding after Mattrick mortgaged their software side. The games, the marketing, everything.

I don't really know the difference between only certain titles and hardly ever on the poll, i picked hardly ever. I replayed Oblivion when the remaster came out, and I replayed Skyrim a few years ago with one of its rereleases. I replayed Remnant From the Ashes after beating Remnant 2 to recontextualize the story and that was very worth it since I didn't understand it the first time. I replayed The Last Remnant (I guess I like to replay games with Remnant in the title?) when it came out on PC and changed a lot of the systems for the better, but that's 15 years ago - so replays for me are very few and far between.

Ball pit, a Breakout roguelike is a genre combo I would have never imagined. Probably the first game since Nintendo's Tetris battle royal that made me just stop in my tracks because of such an unexpected mashup.

@DennisReynolds game pass perks are paid advertisements from free to play games, in a way it's the opposite of them going out and paying for exclusivity. They're not going to turn down advertising revenue from shovelware. I wouldn't equate the two at all.

So Microsoft is "basically" shutting down Activision and selling the brand off for $300M? These are nothing alike and the bulk of these layoffs has nothing to do with ABK. Microsoft is cutting vast swathes of employees across all sectors as they are replaced with cheaper foreign labor and AI. Not axing an entire failed acquired company. Beyond laying off staggering amounts of people, there's no similarity, and neither was normal.

@DennisReynolds in case you missed it, Xbox threw in the towel. There's zero chance your hypothetical becomes a reality. And for perspective this is coming from someone who enjoys console competition and exclusivity, an era which started in the 70s and died in the last 3 years. I'm not like most people pretending to be above the "console warring," I'm lamenting its death.
