Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From Xbox At Tokyo Game Show Next Month?

With Gamescom 2025 now fully behind us, we turn our attention to Tokyo Game Show, which this year takes place at the tail end of September. We've already heard reports that Forza Horizon 6 could potentially be revealed there in a massive shakeup of series tradition, but what else do you want to see from Xbox at the show?

If we look back to the 2024 event, Xbox's TGS livestream was fairly busy, but certainly not to the extent of announcing a brand-new Forza game. We got multiple Game Pass drops from Square Enix & others, Blizzard unveiled new versions of StarCraft & StarCraft 2, and Metaphor: ReFantazio showed up with a fresh trailer, amongst other bits and pieces.

Of course, with Microsoft's new direction in the year since TGS 2024, we could be on for some fresh PS5 news during the 2025 event. Sony has a much bigger fanbase in the region than Xbox, and the Tokyo-based event could be a great place for Xbox to expand even more onto PS5 - or Switch 2 for that matter! Just what is next in line for a PlayStation and/or Nintendo release remains to be seen.

For now though, all we know is that Microsoft Japan is part of the 'Online Exhibition' section for the current TGS 2025 schedule - which we assume will turn into a full Xbox showcase once plans are finalised. Keep your eye out for news on Tokyo Game Show here at Pure Xbox - we'll bring you the latest on any Xbox showcase deets as soon as we hear them.
