90+ 'Stream Your Own Game' Titles Added To Xbox Cloud Gaming Lineup

Gradius Origins, Gungrave G.O.R.E, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and others are fun games that some will find "more exciting."

I would trade 1000 streaming games for one new good exclusive.

@RZ-Atom Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid absolutely sucked IMO. It was far too light in content. As for not allowing opinions on news articles, it's a great way for communities to come together to discuss the material. Opinions and chatter has always been the case; forums, chatrooms, etc... I don't see the format going away any time soon.

Xbox Play Anywhere and Stream Your Own Game are two major differentiators compared to other stores. I strongly prefer buying my games on Xbox, because that way I can play Mafia: The Old Country, or others, on whatever device I want, via the cloud or even by switching between platforms seamlessly, for xbox play anywhere games.

With 100 games added just in the first half of August, Xbox is seriously ramping up this feature, considering that we’re already at over 700 ‘Stream Your Own Game’ titles and more than 1,000 Xbox Play Anywhere games , and the numbers just keep climbing.

@AgnosticGamer No attitude at all. A simple request to not include personal opinion inserts into News articles is all that was requested.

@Kaloudz For opinions pieces yes, for News articles no. Discussions are indeed welcome which is why there is a comment section. However, personal opinions have no place in News articles-unless you're Fox News of course.

It's a shame that readers can't express constructive criticism without other readers getting on their high horse and losing their minds.

Maybe a section after the article broken with a horizontal break labeling it as the authour's personal opinion is needed if the authour wishes to add their opinions on News items.

They need to add a way to filter and sort games on the mobile app. The list is starting to get overwhelming and difficult to navigate now.

@RZ-Atom I'd strongly disagree. I think it's nice to see staff being transparent. That's just me though. That said, I don't think there was anything derogative about the comment - it's just that in comparison, a lot of the games in the list are (you could say) filler, to a degree?

I just wanted to say that the internet has trained me to skip down to the list and skim as much of an article as possible. Take that as you will. I don't think there's anything destructive about opinion in a quick news post, but in terms of building community I'm not sure there's anything constructive about it either. This isn't a news site and the authors never proclaim to be professional journalists. Nothing to take seriously. But again I will say that I've specifically learned to skip any sign of opinion or skim these types of articles because it's often fluff and padding. Not exactly saying thats whats here (because I didn't read it), but I think words always carry a weight. Me personally for this type of post in terms of community I like it when commentary is saved at the end and the author says what they'll be streaming or something and asks what game everyone is most excited about. I wouldn't even call suggesting that Mafia is more exciting than the rest opinionated. Speaking bluntly its the exact type of filler sentence my brain would auto delete. In that case a bit about how Xbox is including new releases in the fold and there's a chance GTA VI or all new games could launch cloud gaming ready would be more interesting and spark discussion. This is a needlessly long comment to say that I don't think any of it matters. Most people have problem also been trained by the internet to skip to the list when there's a list. As long as there's not three 8 sentence paragraph before the list...

@fatpunkslim For me its really if Xbox can pull consistent third party support for both features. Streaming is looking reslly good and XPA is looking better than it has before. I really just want 20% of all new games XPA ready and let's say 60% cloud gaming ready. At least.

I don't need to be going through 3-4 hundred games I DON'T own to find the handful of games that I do.

@ValentineMeikin 100% agreed. They actually used to have it on the Xbox app but for some unfathomable reason they removed it a couple months ago. A complete step backwards, just baffling really. Meanwhile the Cloud Gaming app doesn’t even have any filter or sorting options at all.

Completely disagree with the first comment, I enjoy reading the staff writers' views. It's a reason I come here. I don't need my video game news to be sterile

@Jenkinss yeah, I agree, I can get most of the news from just browsing Reddit, but I like reading the opinions of both article authors and commenters here.
