Xbox Demo Fest Now Live, 40+ Games Available To Play For Free

The Xbox Demo Fest for 2025 has now officially kicked off, allowing you to play over 40 games for free during the period from today (September 9th) to September 30th across Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

You should soon see a tab for the Xbox Demo Fest on your console's dashboard, but before then, you can either use the links below, navigate to the "demos" section of the Xbox Store, or simply search for the ones you want to try manually.

Let's take a look at more details on all of the available demos in the Xbox Demo Fest 2025 so far:

"These game demos differ from the usual ones in our Demo channel, as they’re shared before the games are finished and may not reflect the final product. Think of them more like “showfloor demos,” giving you early access and a chance to provide feedback. Expect these games to develop and improve before release. "

• A Pizza Delivery Demo: "Step into the dreamlike journey of "B", a pizza delivery rider on her final order of the day. Ride through a surreal world, navigating strange landscapes, sudden shifts in scenery, and moments of quiet introspection."

• Adventures of a Cat in Space Demo: "Adventures of a Cat in Space is a family-friendly point & click adventure. After being accidentally launched into space, a cat is on a mission to find their way back home. Along the way you will need to solve puzzles in this cosy adventure purrrfect for all ages."

• Aikyam Demo: "The village of Aikyam is in turmoil! Chaos reigns supreme following the sudden and mysterious disappearance of the beloved co-mayors. Demons, eager to snatch the almighty Celestial Glue, are preparing to plunge the world into eternal darkness. It’s up to Vishva, Ramli, and Guruji to dazzle the hearts of disgruntled villagers with extravagant turn-based battles and rally them against the demons in this Bollywood-inspired fantasy RPG!"

• Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit Demo: "The ULTIMATE NERD RAGE is back in Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit - an all-new action platformer set in the AVGN universe! Play as The Nerd and blast your way across a host of pixel art levels crawling with zombies, mechanical skeletons, ghoulish reapers, and more!"

• AWAKEN - Astral Blade Demo: "Weave your own story in this dark fairy tale. In the mysterious ancient ruins, you will adventure with Tania to reveal her origins and fate. Is there any chance of survival in the darkest and desperate place?"

• Baki Hanma: Blood Arena Demo: "Enter the brutal world of Baki Hanma: Blood Arena, a thrilling 2D action game inspired by the anime phenomenon Baki."

• Beacon of Neyda Demo: "The “rusty ones” roam the dead lands of this world, their revolution failed but the world is in ruins, help humanity to escape. Beacon of neyda is a strategy game where you have to build and defend your base from waves of enemies."

• BEFORE I GO Demo: "BEFORE I GO is a challenging side-scrolling action-platformer that distils the classic genre to its most beloved aspects, fulfilling old-school platformer lovers as well as fresh mechanics enthusiasts."

• Biped 2 DEMO: "Biped 2 is the sequel to the exciting game about two charming bipedal robots, Aku and Sila, who have each other’s backs and embark on incredible adventures side by side. Dive into this groovy co-op action-adventure game, full of puzzles, friendship, support, and fun!"

• Bit ESC Demo: "Break free from the system as Bit in this action/adventure platformer where you and set out to escape from the tyrannic OS. Gaining your freedom, though, might not be as clear-cut as it seems…"

• Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime Demo: "Embark on a quest to defeat the local bully, and get sidetracked – play music, infiltrate a beehive (disguised as a bee), and maybe get in a sled race with a vampire."

• Breaking Gates Preview: "Embark on a thrilling journey through a vibrant, hand-drawn world where fast-paced combat and exploration collide! In Breaking Gates, you take on the role of a brave recruit tasked with saving a kingdom on the brink of collapse. From lush forests to ancient ruins, uncover the secrets of a kingdom filled with mystery and danger."

• Brews & Bastards Demo: "Brews & Bastards is an intoxicating dungeon crawler, overflowing with action-packed combat, potent brews and outlandish bosses. Select from a group of inebriated heroes and blast your way through hordes of drunken demons in search of the stolen Brew Stone."

• Bylina Origins Demo: "Embark on Falconet’s first adventure in Bylina: Origins Demo! Explore a world of Slavic legends, uncover the roots of his story, and prepare to confront Koschei the Deathless."

• Cats on Duty Demo: "Cats on Duty is a purr-fect blend of RTS, tower defense, game genres. Manage two game fields, upgrade adorable cat towers, and watch your fluffy warriors bravely defend against foes."

• CyberWar Neon City Demo: "To become a great hero, Printer, a newborn clone, and his shark weapon, Blue, which can shoot any type of projectile, will face great challenges on each floor of a building taken over by Cyber Monkeys."

• Dead Reset Demo: "Trapped in a terrifying deathloop, surgeon Cole Mason is kidnapped and brought to an underwater facility, forced to operate on a patient to extract an evolving parasitic horror. Dead Reset is a blood-soaked interactive horror, where each death brings you closer to the truth."

• Deck of Haunts Demo: "Step into the role of a sinister Haunted House, where the walls whisper secrets and terror lurks around every corner. As the master of this cursed domain, your goal is to ensnare daring humans, play on their fears, and drain their very essence to expand your dark influence."

• Detective Dotson Demo: "A cozy mystery game about a detective with Bollywood dreams. It's the first adventure game set in the colorful streets of India. Engage with adorable 2D characters living in a 3D world. Find clues and solve the evidence board."

• Echoes of the Plum Grove: ISDF Demo: "A new life awaits you in Honeywood! After washing onto the island's shores, you'll find yourself the newly minted owner to a humble plot of land. Pull up your sleeves, grab your tools, and get to work building a farm that will last not only a lifetime, but span generations!"

• Echo Weaver Demo: "Echo Weaver is a time loop metroidBRAINia where time is your best resource and secrets are your only upgrades. You're the last of the Weavers, a remnant of a ruined society trapped in a glitching time loop. The Congregation set out to explore the stars and find paradise. What they found instead has led their utopian project to ash and cinders."

• FAITH: The Unholy Trinity Demo: "As a young priest, struggle against demons, insane cultists, and your own weakening faith in this pixel horror game inspired by the era of classic 8-bit gaming and the "Satanic Scare" of the 1980s."

• Floralis Demo: "You are born from a tree in a post-human world ruled by sentient plants. Hide from predators, reawaken machines, and outwit living traps as you search for your twin and the truth of your birth in this cinematic puzzle adventure."

• Gloomy Eyes Demo: "In a world plunged into eternal night and torn by conflict between the living and the undead, one faint glimmer of hope still flickers in the hearts of two special souls. Gloomy Eyes tells the tale of Gloomy, a sweet zombie boy, and Nena, a mischievous human girl, who defy the rules by teaming up and embarking on a quest to bring back the daylight."

• Halls of Torment - Demo: Halls of Torment is a horde survival game with a pre-rendered retro look reminiscent of RPGs from the late 90s. Choose one of many hero characters and descend into the deadly Halls of Torment.

• Imagine Earth Demo: "Imagine Earth is a real-time planet simulation and a build up strategy game. Your job as a space colony manager is to explore and populate distant planets. Build up thriving and profitable colonies on a global scale and trade resources and goods into space."

• Ink. Demo: "Dive into Ink., an explosive and colorful roguelike RPG adventure where every game is unique."

• Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel Demo: "Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is a gripping roguelike horde-survivor game set in the dark realms of Norse Mythology. Fight waves of enemies to earn divine blessings of ancient Viking Deities, explore hostile worlds and face powerful bosses. Become a god-like warrior in this ultimate showdown."

• Labyrinthine - Console Edition Demo: "LABYRINTHINE, a first-person, multiplayer cooperative horror game, offers an unforgettable journey into the realm of nightmares. With an emphasis on exploration, puzzle-solving, and atmospheric storytelling, it keeps you on the edge of your seat."

• Military Logistics Simulator Demo: "Military Logistics Simulator puts you behind the wheel of real-world military logistics. Rise from a low-ranking soldier to a seasoned quartermaster as you manage vehicles, expand your base, and take charge of critical supply lines."

• Mina the Hollower Demo: "Descend into a frightful world of action-adventure in Mina the Hollower. • Neon Inferno Demo: "NEON INFERNO is a hybrid side-scroller and gallery-shooter where the action takes place in both the foreground and the background."

• Node: The Last Favor of the Antarii Demo: "In a forsaken world of radiation and secrets, one AI stands between salvation and collapse. Explore Toska, a haunting nuclear labyrinth, where the echoes of the past meet an otherworldly twist. Can you outsmart the unknown and save us all?"

• Polterguys: Possession Party Demo: "Supernatural multiplayer madness where 8 players use sneaky sabotage to get opponents caught by a raging monster! • Potions: A Curious Tale Demo: "Potions: A Curious Tale is an adventure & crafting game where your wits are your greatest weapon and combat is not always the answer. • Rhythm Towers Demo: "Music is the beating pulse of Planet Rhapsody.
