Good news after what appeared to be more AI after hiring AI buddies. Hopefully some fresh eyes on how things have deteriorated will continue to get Xbox back on the map. Ditching non-essentials is a great idea.

My birthday wasn't too long ago. Nothing so far, but I haven't bought anything since December.

Can you imagine if, in good faith, they dropped the consoles back down to their original price? I bet they'd fly off the shelves, show first-time users how great the series x is as a console, and boost those daily player counts. Some money is better than none.

Only ones that I'm nostalgic for and stick to remaster more than a remake. Still not a fan of FFVII Remake. I just wish Square would've remastered VII with the Remake graphics. I bought FFVII at launch as a high schooler and have incredibly fond memories of the original.

I need to jump back onto Mass Effect and finish the first one as I took a recent detour back into Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

I love my Series X. Best hardware/console, feature wise, I've ever owned and I've been playing games since the mid 80s! Keep the games coming!

@Coletrain I'm hoping we get something between now and the June showcase. My Ultimate sub expired right after Christmas, so I've been good since, but the lure of a pick your own option would certainly seal the deal for me to return.

I'm glad Ultimate came down and I'm very interested in resubbing, but I really want to see if there is any truth to the pick your own option first.

I'd like to see how much just Xbox Studios and day-and-date would be under a custom plan.

Xbox has surprisingly been on the steady uptick lately. Very weird after the last couple of years or so.

I'm saving points at the moment, but interested to try it out. Does it only convert in whole numbers? Or does it pay down to the cent so it will cover tax? Does anyone know? (US)

I would potentially sub back in for an xbox studios only tier. I'd have to see at how much though and what the day-and-date policy looks like.

@Lup this is exactly why this has probably not been implemented.

1. I'd love to see a cheaper Xbox Studios only tier with day-and-date releases.
2. Keep reworking achievements in such a way that when you earn an achievement that you've already unlocked you still get a similar pop just without the gamerscore increasing.
3. Keep your foot on the pedal Asha! You've been doing great!

This kind of customer service will go a long way in helping get Xbox back on track. So far, 2026 has been a great year for Xbox. If they continue like this, or better, the future is bright!

@VisitingComet1 I did like Andromeda as well, but didn't finish it. I didn't go back because the story won't resolve.

Going back to the Mass Effect games through the Legendary Edition. On the first game now. I never finished it when it launched, but I played each of the originals at launch on the 360.

I'm hoping a rich Uncle contacts me right before launch offering to gift me an Xbox Helix. Wish me luck ya'll!

Amazing games have been made for decades now. Graphical powerhouses does not equate to great games. Smaller budget games can be just as good, if not better, than modern showcase games. The whole industry needs to dial it back a good bit.

I have finally returned back to Hogwarts Legacy to play through since I never made it more than about halfway at launch. Wow! I forgot how jam-packed this game is!

Positive, incremental changes are a good thing right now. Build brand positivity while you make the big changes behind the scenes.

I'd be happy with just an Xbox Studios past, present, and future tier that still has either day-and-date or maybe at most a 6 month delay.

Great move. Xbox APPEARS to be heading in the right direction at the right time. The 25th Anniversary should be treated as a full reset right before a potentially new console next year. I am starting to see a glimmer of hope again.

Another reason why I'd love to see an Xbox Studios only tier of Gamepass with day-and-date. If it would be less than Ultimate ($10-$15) I would seriously consider subscribing again.

@TheGameThrifter Personally I have enjoyed a lot and only speak for myself. I'm basically assuming there are others like me which would show a market for an Xbox Studios only tier with day-and-date.

@TheGameThrifter I have liked a lot of their games over the last couple of years or more. I'd personally take an Xbox only tier over $30/month for Ultimate.

I wonder how much a tier for JUST Xbox studios games would cost? That might be too much of a cannibalistic approach though.

@Decimateh infinite Wealth is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I would recommend that one first. Pirate Yakuza is a side story sequel like The Man With No Name was. I have not played Pirate Yakuza and the only other Yakuza games I have played are Kiwami 1 and The Man With No Name. I have been able to keep up and follow Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth with no problems.

@Lup couldn't agree more. I'm always thinking about what Ichiban and crew are up to. Solid cast of characters and storytelling.

Good plan, but seriously, Xbox needs to drop their Series consoles back to original price or less as a goodwill offering to get people back into their ecosystem. Any money is better than no money.
