The weekend is upon us, people! You know the drill, it's time to pick up your favourite Xbox controller and get cracking with your gamin' masterplan.
There's a few games out and about this week, such as Madden NFL 27 if you're all about that yardage. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is in the mix too, alongside indie gems like Wild Blue Skies and Duskfade that are worth checking out.
It's been a pretty quiet week for Xbox Game Pass, but if you're one of the Premium-tier lot who hasn't tried Ball x Pit yet, I'd like to vigorously suggest you do - I'm shaking everything here, do it!

My goal this weekend is to complete 007 First Light, because if I don't roll credits by the time Monday comes around, I fear it'll be lost to my dusty, decrepit backlog. Yikes. I can see why so many people loved it, It's a really fun game, and I have absolutely no excuse when it's an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
The reason I worry for Mr. Bond, is because I'm down bad for Gears: E-Day. I really want to nab that unlockable Horde skin before the Beta officially comes to a close.
Outside of gnasher battles and saucy spy stuff, I've been having a blast with Waterpark Simulator. My wife absolutely loves running a chaotic water park with me. Sometimes silly games like this are exactly the sort of mindless escape I love getting stuck into at the weekend.

I started playing Baldur's Gate 3 through Xbox Play Anywhere on PC again last weekend, and I'm enjoying it a lot more with the mouse and keyboard. What I'm particularly impressed by is that it runs really well on the ROG Xbox Ally X, even if you drop the system into "Performance" mode, and I definitely plan to keep playing it on there.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a game I started as well, and woah - that bit after around 30 minutes where you step into Pandora for the first time is phenomenal. I worry that it's not going to be my kind of game from this point onwards, but I'll give it a go. If nothing else, I'm really glad I got to experience that opening segment for the first time.
Planet Coaster 2 is also on the docket, but once again I kinda want to play it on the PC, and when your entire working life revolves around sitting at a computer, it's often the last thing you want to do at night. That said, I might be able to sneak it into my rotation alongside Baldur's Gate 3.
Kynseed as well! That game looks awesome, so I might give it a try over the next two days.
