@themightyant I have to be very selective with what I play. I cant possibly play everything. Doom doesn't interest me at all, which is good! More time with Expedition 33!

@themightyant that is exactly what I'm looking for! Super bosses and optional content are often harder than the final boss anyway. Maybe I'll go beat it then come back and do it all again. I want to be maxed out and plow through new game+ when I get to it.

Such an amazing game. I'm basically at the end, but power leveling and finishing up optional content first. I want to obliterate the final boss!

@Kaloudz Sciel and Monoco die fast for me too. Did you ever find the hand creatures to level up? I forgot to add, if you can perfect parry or dodge, add 20% more experience! I got 1.2 mil last night from the group of 3 that way.

@Kaloudz I haven't seen Shogun. Lune is one of my favorite characters. The only ones I haven't put any time into though are Sciel and Monoko.

@Kaloudz Best game I've played in a LONG time. I hate soulslike games, but I am loving this take on turn-based. And the story...THE STORY!!!!

@Kaloudz I think I'm using Corpeso and Choralim or Braselim. I forget and cant look at the moment.

@Kaloudz Im definitely not using the absolute best weapons, but I know every time I get a weapon drop it ups the level of the existing one, so I'll eventually catch up Im sure. Especially before I start going after those super bosses.

@Kaloudz Im really unsure of which weapon. I know Maelle has the story weapon and I just upgraded the highest level weapons I had in the 20s at the time. I'd have to look online for the catalyst you are looking for. I'm starting to look up tips online now that I'm in cleanup before I go to the final location.

@Kaloudz Sounds right. They are called Grandiose Chroma Catalysts and those enemies drop 2-3. Grinding there is worth it due to that and the exp. It takes a while to learn the parrying timing. But when you do, it's like taking candy from a baby, hahaha. Also, give everyone the picto you got at the end of Act II that removes the damage cap.

@Kaloudz That's how I was. I finished Act II at 50-51 with my main 3. There is a place near the beginning that has these hand creatures that a group of 2 gives over 500k exp and a group of 3 gives like 750k. Spend time there learning their timing and you will eventually take them out easy by parrying everything. Its like 1 level per fight or more until you get in the upper 60s. I think the area is called Dark Shores. I use fire damage and stacking.

Also, my 3 main character weapon levels are 32. The hand creatures drop upgrade materials to get there also if you have a weapon in the 20s.

@Kaloudz How far into E33 are you? I just entered Act III and level grinded to 66 last night by fighting those hand creatures.

@Lup Also, not sure if you knew this or not...the correct path is generally lit up in some way as a visual cue.

Haven't really played any Gears games, but I was expecting the long rumored remastered trilogy over a remaster of a remaster.

@Lup That's fair. Not every game is for everybody. I think Blue Prince is absolutely boring and I find nothing of interest in GTA. Just a couple of examples of how opinions may vary. I do hope you give it a go though. Such a shame to miss out on this one. It is truly amazing.

@Lup For what it's worth, the zones are really small and getting lost goes away quickly.

Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. I think Im nearing the end of Act II. I have almost completely stayed away from anything online and played this game blind. It is truly amazing. My main 3 are all level 50.

Solid game. I wanted to complete it (and did). Great story and design.

I would not be happy if my Series X broke, that's for sure.

@M20B25 I've been playing on normal and only parry. It is definitely tough, but easy to over level, which can balance it out.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. About 23.5 hours in and on Act II. Any accolades for this game just don't do it justice. This game is shooting up the list of one of the best RPG, or any other genre, games I've ever played. Simply phenomenal!

I played about an hour of this game on launch day through GamePass and immediately bought the Digital Deluxe Edition. Im now about 20hrs in and it just keeps getting better. My GOTY as well as Game of the Generation right now! This is what the current generation is supposed to be.

Looks like I'll be using my remaining reward points to extend GamePass for "free." Glad I didn't blow them all on stuff in the Spring Sale and such.

Ugh. Inevitable, but still feels slimy. Glad I got my Series X in 2021.

@jesse_dylan I got all the totems and a lot of treasures. I finished it the night before Claire Obscur released, so I probably rushed Galawain's Tusks and the Garden a bit.

@jesse_dylan Seriously! Avowed took me 62.5 hours! Deceptively long.

I just have to be selective. I have been able to finish Indiana Jones, a second playthrough of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Suikoden 1, Avowed, South of Midnight, and I'm currently playing through Clair Obscure: Expedition 33.

@Kezelpaso I really am. Maybe 10hrs in, still on Act 1. It's my Game of the Year right now.

Nothing in the sale, but I did pick up the Digital Deluxe edition of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. That felt like a steal in its own right. Fantastic game!

Solid 10. Easy. No question about it.

@Kaloudz True Achievement site lists Lost Odyssey 60-80hrs. It's a large game with a lot of optional side content.

@Kaloudz I remember Lost Odyssey being a little lengthy. It came on 4 discs at launch, if I remember correctly.

Congratulations Sandfall. Ya'll earned this! I bet sales will continue for sure. I played an hour early yesterday on GamePass and went and bought the deluxe edition immediately.

What a fantastic game. I'm about 4hrs in and completely blown away!

@Kaloudz You won't regret it. I played Lost Odyssey for the first time in 2008 and I still can't forget it. I love the way it handled New Game+ also.

I still can't believe I can get Gamepass for "free" through the rewards program. What a fantastic service. I wish it was around long before now. Best way to game period.

So glad I finished Avowed last night. Played a little of the Prologue of this game today and I'm very excited to jump back in!
