@Kaloudz I can't stop playing it! Yes, DLC is all but confirmed attic point and hopefully a sequel. I bet the DLC will be mostly superbosses and lore. I think you're right on a sequel though with your spoiler content.

@mac_da_man I'm 4 achievements away from 100% (music, journals, gestrals, and I missed the Lumiere mime). Hoping to finish soon.

@Kaloudz Also Medallum. It starts you out in Virtuous stance. A must to do major damage with her. When you start to understand pictos and lumina it really opens up. Also, lots of extra story bits to find too. I just got Maelle, Lune, and Verso to lvl 99.

@Kaloudz Maelle, Lune, Verso. Maelle is who I hit 63M damage with.

@Kaloudz yeah, he is the hardest boss in the game. Near impossible if you can't one shot him. What you really want to add is anything that boosts damage and ability to act first, especially at low health or under certain status effects. It's really simple if you do it that way. There are a bunch of pictos that do this, like lower health down to 1, which is what you want if you are one shotting everything before it can attack. That's a very basic explanation, but it really isn't all that hard to do. Plenty of guides loneliness to assist.

@Kaloudz It's all about the pictos and lumina. You have to have the right ones to even have a chance. It is insane how powerful you can be if you pursue it. I've only recently been getting into it and my main 3 are around level 97-98 and the other two 91. I have several weapons at lvl 33.

I've done nothing but play Expedition 33 since launch. It was my most anticipated game for the whole year and it has not disappointed. Almost 100% after 88hrs.

@Kaloudz I played for about an hour on release date and turned around and bought the Digital Deluxe right away. Such a great value. Amazing game. 88 hours later and I just destroyed Simon last night, one-shotting him for over 63M damage!😃 Only 5 more achievements to go for 100%.

@RiverGenie Yup. I think we can tend to forget how things used to be or look at the past with rose tinted glasses. Can you imagine if we had something like Gamepass growing up? Gaming is already too expensive as is. Gamepass helps alleviate some of that. It's pretty much my main and only source of gaming now.

I watch them on my own. Wife could care less and a lot of the content isn't appropriate for my 8 yr old. Nice little break by myself.

@Lup That was part of it. I didn't really like the content and story. I bounced after the first boss battle.

Downloaded, so I'll give it a go. I did not like Persona 5 Royal, so hoping it's not too much like that. Either way, I still have more to do in Expedition 33. Only 6 achievements left and 80+hrs in.

@Kaloudz I had played it back at release on the PS1, so I was well aware of what I was getting into. It really is a good game, but it is so easy to steamroll anything in that game with the right junctions. Find a strategy guide and give her another go. Really easy to get all achievements in comparison to FF9.

@Kaloudz I'll welcome it, and maybe even get, but I want to see a Chrono Trigger and FF Tactics: War of the Lions port. Maybe they'll announce FFIX Remake!

@xeofate Expedition 33 certainly deserves it. I'm still cleaning up end-game content even though I beat the game a long time ago. Currently sitting at almost 81 hours. I don't have much left, but I just feel obligated to 100% as it's so good!

I did not like Persona 5, but I'll give this one a go.

Nothing current. I've only bought a handful of games day 1 since about 2022 and although all have been great, I wouldn't pay a full $80 on day one. Full disclosure though, almost everything has been bought with rewards points, so I'm not really spending cash anyway.

The Last few years have been crazy good. I anticipate there are a lot of unannounced games we will hear about.

Wrapping up end game content on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Series X is the best console. Period. I've enjoyed gaming more this gen than any other. Gamepass, quick resume, controller, functionality, and some really great games. I could end here and never get a new console and be just as happy. Gaming for almost 40 yrs now.

Nice road map. I really liked Avowed and will probably come back to finish off some side content and see how the updates impact the gameplay.

@Ricky-Spanish Lots of optional bosses, collectibles, weapon upgrades, etc. Not necessary, for sure, but I like to experience as much as I can. I've got 590 achievement points and would like to get as many as I can while it's all fresh.

@Ricky-Spanish Good luck. I've beaten the game, but have so much more side content to do. I'm 50+ hours in, level 84, and still finding enemies that can decimate me.

I'd like to play it, but I'm an old-school RPG guy and the action RPG kinda turns me away from it. If only they would've put the work in for a modern turn-based remake and not something that alters the original story so much. If it does ever come to gamepass, I'd definitely give it a day one try.

I bought a Switch a few years ago. I've barely touched it.

@Fishysensei I'll just put it this way...I'm at the end and my main 3 characters are in the low 80s. I've done a single attack over 1 million on a super boss that didn't even take away a quarter health. The enemies get tougher and the amount of attacks you have to dodge or parry from them definitely increase as you go on. Keep those fingers ready! The story is amazing too!

@Fishysensei It definitely gets more challenging. Especially if you rely on parry over dodge.

@themightyant I have to be very selective with what I play. I cant possibly play everything. Doom doesn't interest me at all, which is good! More time with Expedition 33!

@themightyant that is exactly what I'm looking for! Super bosses and optional content are often harder than the final boss anyway. Maybe I'll go beat it then come back and do it all again. I want to be maxed out and plow through new game+ when I get to it.

Such an amazing game. I'm basically at the end, but power leveling and finishing up optional content first. I want to obliterate the final boss!

@Kaloudz Sciel and Monoco die fast for me too. Did you ever find the hand creatures to level up? I forgot to add, if you can perfect parry or dodge, add 20% more experience! I got 1.2 mil last night from the group of 3 that way.

@Kaloudz I haven't seen Shogun. Lune is one of my favorite characters. The only ones I haven't put any time into though are Sciel and Monoko.

@Kaloudz Best game I've played in a LONG time. I hate soulslike games, but I am loving this take on turn-based. And the story...THE STORY!!!!

@Kaloudz I think I'm using Corpeso and Choralim or Braselim. I forget and cant look at the moment.

@Kaloudz Im definitely not using the absolute best weapons, but I know every time I get a weapon drop it ups the level of the existing one, so I'll eventually catch up Im sure. Especially before I start going after those super bosses.

@Kaloudz Im really unsure of which weapon. I know Maelle has the story weapon and I just upgraded the highest level weapons I had in the 20s at the time. I'd have to look online for the catalyst you are looking for. I'm starting to look up tips online now that I'm in cleanup before I go to the final location.

@Kaloudz Sounds right. They are called Grandiose Chroma Catalysts and those enemies drop 2-3. Grinding there is worth it due to that and the exp. It takes a while to learn the parrying timing. But when you do, it's like taking candy from a baby, hahaha. Also, give everyone the picto you got at the end of Act II that removes the damage cap.

@Kaloudz That's how I was. I finished Act II at 50-51 with my main 3. There is a place near the beginning that has these hand creatures that a group of 2 gives over 500k exp and a group of 3 gives like 750k. Spend time there learning their timing and you will eventually take them out easy by parrying everything. Its like 1 level per fight or more until you get in the upper 60s. I think the area is called Dark Shores. I use fire damage and stacking.

Also, my 3 main character weapon levels are 32. The hand creatures drop upgrade materials to get there also if you have a weapon in the 20s.

@Kaloudz How far into E33 are you? I just entered Act III and level grinded to 66 last night by fighting those hand creatures.
