October is stacked with exciting releases, and one upcoming title that has us particularly gassed is Final Fantasy Resonance.

Square Enix's latest entry in the renowned JRPG franchise has received its first review, which also details how long it'll take to beat the main story and a full completion.

The early word comes from the Japanese outlet Famitsu, which has awarded the game a whoppin' 36/40 rating. We haven't found a proper transcript of the review itself, but the score has been posted to social media.

Here's a version of the review posted by Genki on X/Twitter:

We've covered Famitsu reviews in the past, but for anyone wondering how the outlet arrived at a score of 36, that's because they have four reviewers each score the game individually and tally them up - resulting in four 9/10 scores.

According to Genki, Famitsu also mentions the main campaign takes 20 to 30 hours to complete. But if you're going for Xbox's new Mythic achievement (100% completion), you'll be looking at a mountainous 70 hours.

Final Fantasy Resonance will cost you £49.99 / $49.99 and will be available on October 22 for Xbox Series X|S and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere Support.
