@Coletrain I buy a few games a year. Mainly the stuff I'm super excited for or have other games in the series. I primarily use GamePass and the rewards program pays for it. I'm currently subbed through late April 2025 and have enough reward points to keep it going however long I like. I would've loved gaming as a kid in today's environment.

@Coletrain I still can't believe how people say XBox is a terrible eco-system. It is by far the most user friendly and accessible system out there to me. Can you imagine if GamePass was a thing growing up?! I've been gaming since the mid 80's and I've never enjoyed gaming, as a whole, more than I do now!

This game is great. It's a good pace too, but I'm spending my time getting everything as I go. 18.5hrs in and I've gotten all but one collectible in the Vatican (need more money for the final book at the boxing ring) and I'm early in to the Gizeh area.

I may try Eternal Strands. My #1 most anticipated game next year is still Claire Obscure: Expedition 33.

@Lup just stick with the first three movies and you'll be fine.

I've finished a lot of games this year, but it's been inflated due to the rewards program. I find a game, follow a guide to go achievement-by-achievement so I get one Gamepass game achievement per day. But for fun I've finished Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Yakuza Kiwami. PGA Tour, a couple of the FF Pixel Remasters, Crash 1+2, Spyro 1, and BLOPS6 to name a few. Still playing Indiana Jones at the moment.

Not a lot for me, but all digital. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and FFI-VI.

@Lup Seriously! One of the highest rated games all year and not a single peep. Ichiban Kasuga deserves better than this!

I've gotten them a couple of times in the past, but no dice this year.

I hope more people get to play Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Superb game.

I wish Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth got more recognition. I feel like that game has somehow flown under the radar and gets way less attention than it deserves.

I do think Microsoft is just leading the charge in a new era of gaming. If not, it's just gaming and isn't the end of the world. I'll continue to play what is available to me until I no longer feel the desire to, even if it is only older games at that point. If there is a way to play what Microsoft owns, whether on a console or via cloud, I'm good with that at this stage of life.

I've been switching back and forth between Indiana Jones and Black Ops 6. Since it's a 2xp weekend, it'll mostly be just BO6 this weekend.

@gollumb82 Yup! I'm 42 and between family and work I have to be very selective with what I play. This is also why I love GamePass Ultimate so much. Play a game, if I don't like it, bounce to the next or play an older game. No FOMO here.

No Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth for GOTY is unnnaceptable.

Definitely want to play the classic campaigns. I've only ever finished MW I, II, III, and BO 1. I don't know how it will feel to get into MP again after BO 6, though. May feel way too dated.

So, I wonder what happens to the streaming rights they got from XBox in the ABK deal?

I'm actually looking forward to SoM more than Avowed also, but I'll definitely give both a try.

Pretty cool how it shows Rewards Points for the year. In the US, at least, it blows the argument out of the water that you can't earn a lot of points. I'm sitting at 194,963 earned in 2024.

@GeeEssEff I turn Solittaire on for 15 mins a day to get the PC game reward...82 hours and only 3 achievements later, hahaha. Maybe I've left it on longer than 15 mins a few times...

@Ricky-Spanish it's ridiculously good right now. I don't play a lot, but i try to get about a level a session if not more in MP. I can't really say there is a single map I hate. Almost done with the campaign too. Very impressed by what they've accomplished this go-around.

@Balaam_ I'd argue the competent consumer uses GamePass to play games for next to nothing instead of spending thousands on games over a generation. I rarely play games twice, so owning a physical copy is just more junk to have around the house collecting dust. I used to buy games for decades and that's what it amounted to in the long run, for me, that is.

BO6 is a lot of fun. I came in expecting to play the campaign and bounce, but I've only gotten about halfway through the campaign so far (finished High Rollers) and wound up spending all my time in MP. We'll done Treyarch!

@K1LLEGAL I still find it hard to believe Infinite Wealth isn't in the GOTY conversations right now. It should easily win in my eyes.

I create a bald dude and a beard 100% of the time, just like in real life. I don't need a gazillion options.

MP with the mic completely muted is the way to go. It just allows you to play and have fun at your own pace.

This one could be good. Hope it is coming sooner than expected. Lots of good stuff coming in 2025, with my most anticipated being Expedition 33 in the Spring.

BO6 runs excellent on Series X and is a part of GamePass. Can't really beat that.

I'm playing on Series X and the only issue I see is when I'm in the lobby and the Operators are walking around it hiccups a bit. During matches it's been super smooth for me, which is what really matters.

@NEStalgia Go for it! I have only played the original Modern Warfare and original Black Ops game more than a decade ago. I am so into BO6. Very good game to get into, ESPECIALLY if you have Game Pass. This one's a no brainer!

I'm one of them! I went in thinking I'd just play the campaigns and bounce, but I tried out MP and I'm loving it! Not very good as I'm only lvl 15 after 18 matches, but it's keeping me wanting to come back. Even if it's in small bursts.

@Ricky-Spanish I'm seriously impressed after not playing a COD game in over 12 yrs. So much fun, campaign and MP.

@Wisegamer I haven't played COD in over 12 years and I don't really play shooters anymore...but...I'm having a blast in this MP. I'm terrible, yes, but it's still so fun and fluid. Feels like the good old days of Modern Warfare and the first Black Ops.

@Mogzino I like their Xbox podcast Unlocked as well as the Playstation and Nintendo ones Beyond and Nintendo Voice Chat repectively, and they have a lot of posts per day.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner Good point. IGN and PureXbox are my primary gaming news channels.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I've seen other reviews for the campaign before the MP. Just curious why it's absent, without even a review in progress post by them. Still seems odd to me. This is one of the biggest launches each and every year, regardless if one likes it or not.

I'm kinda curious why no review on PushSquare. Bitter melons?

2 missions done on the campaign and I'm excited about it. Need to try MP and Zombies at some point.

Slowly working through BO6 campaign. May try Zombies or MP just to check them out. I've finished the first 2 campaign missions so far. Also working through the FF Pixel Remasters. I've 100% FFI and FFIV, working through FFVI now.

@Scrubchub ditto! Release the back catalog! I want to play the campaigns I missed over the last decade+.
