So booty and Spencer an co, I take it I missed the part of the press release that stated you all are donating your bonuses this year to the affected devs seeing as you appreciated them so much?
I get why people are saying all corporations do things like this, it’s not just exclusively Microsoft.
However what stinks in this case is the fact they have just bought the studios. MS would have known this was the plan. The studios should have been made buy back offers etc before the deal was complete.
MS are turning into EA back in the day when they rinsed loads of awesome studios like Westwood.
Totally depends on the game. For example I had zero interest in replaying tale of two sons yet Metroid prime remake was an insta buy of which I needed to know nothing about.
I do wonder if this is just a foot in the door on PlayStation with a view to expand the library there over time should the games sell well.
Having said that the four games being ported are likely smaller titles that might not have much of a pull over in the PlayStation world and not sell that much meaning MS will be less likely to support them with bigger franchises. Who knows?!
@Widey85 yeah I agree, usually companies are quick to react to something like this that could be damaging to their business if untrue.
Makes me think MS are waiting on something big/important to be signed off or similar to make this story make sense going public. Who knows I don’t! Haha

@Nintendo4Sonic yeah they’ve sold over 140 million switches!

Re: Digital Foundry Impressed By 'Stunning Visual Design' In Ori Dev's New Game
@GamingFan4Lyf Nintendo are a very cash-rich company, they can probably afford to have more games bomb than you think…
Re: Xbox Doubles Down On Highly Ambitious Plans For Next-Gen Hardware
@OldGamer999 yep basically what I was going to say!
MS are masters at talking a big game that’s for sure.
Re: Phil Spencer Celebrates 10 Years As Head Of Xbox This Weekend
I’m not the biggest Phil fan but he’s a definite improvement over don mattrick!
Re: Xbox Fans Praise MEGA Console Set That Looks 'Identical' To The Original 360 Design
Looks as bricked as a typical 360! 🤣
Re: Digital Foundry Tests Xbox & PlayStation Cloud Gaming, And The Results Are Mixed
It’s funny as the perception is that xcloud is leagues ahead of PlayStation in cloud gaming yet is actually behind if anything.

Re: Reaction: Xbox's Commitment To Console Gaming Is Pleasing, But Big Questions Linger
@Jenkinss you’re right and what people seem to forget is these execs/companies often say one thing and then do another.
This just feels like phase 1 of a much bigger picture.
Re: Poll: When Do You Think Xbox Will Release Its Next-Generation Console?
I don’t know why but I have a feeling MS will want to start early vs Sony next gen.
Their best lead came with 360 when they release a year earlier and wouldn’t be surprised if they’d want to start fresh sooner rather than later.
Having said that I really don’t think PS5/XS have even begun hitting their stride yet so personally I hope it’s not before 2028!

Re: Xbox's Next Console Will Feature The 'Largest Technical Leap Ever' In A Generation
@Banjo- ah ok thanks I missed those details!
Re: Xbox's Next Console Will Feature The 'Largest Technical Leap Ever' In A Generation
@HammerKirby that was my first thought as every generational leap has diminished…
My second thought was are they gonna announce next gen already? Like this year?! Seems way too early…
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Dev Gives His 'Optimistic' Thoughts On Xbox-To-PS5 Rumours
The fact Phil is usually very reactive and vocal and in this instance has so far been silent is telling in my opinion.
Interesting times for sure…

Whatever happens I think MS need to speak out sooner rather than later.

@Kienda best post I’ve read in a long time, brilliant, kudos to you and couldn’t agree more.
