I picked this game up on sale a few years ago, but man I have a hard time getting into it. Maybe I'll try to do this game club thing. At least I'd have someone to commiserate with.

Can't wait to give this a try on console. I played a little bit of it on PC but it was at the beginning when it was a bit of a train wreck. I really hope they figured it out.

Actually I don't remember Hyenas, and after watching that video, I know why. That looked generic as ****.

Sucks for the developer for the game to be canned so close to completion, but c'mon. It's such a crowded market and aside from some zero gravity stuff, I didn't see anything to set it apart.

Stardew Valley, but in the ahire with Hobbits, would have my money instantly.

Well that pretty much confirms I won't know what the **** is going on.

I've been playing it and it is indeed very good.

But it is A CARBON COPY of Forza Horizon. I do kinda wish they wouldn't have gone so hard in the "Festival" direction.

If the HDR is going to be anything like Elder Scrolls Online's... please just leave it off lol.

@evan23 Yep, BUT the game it's playing has to support it. If the game itself only does 480p, the Xbox won't upscale it.

@GuyinPA75 Fujimi Kaido. I would also love to see that track on new technology. As well as Rio, New York, and Dubai.

I would also love to see a few fictional tracks as well. Not everything has to be official licensed locales.

Graphically it already holds up pretty well due to the art style... But I really hope they tweak the controls. The game was originally designed for the GameCube controller and when they ported it they didn't bother to adjust anything. It just feels wonky to play now.

At least they're going out on their own terms.

LOL what a joke. This is just lazy porting plain and simple.

I started dating this girl in 2004, and she moved across the country to do an internship. Every night, while playing Ghost Recon 2 with my buddies, I'd maintain radio silence while I talked with her on the phone. All my buddies understood, and I still did my part in the squad. They never gave me grief about it, and I did it every night until she came back home.

Next February will be our 20th Anniversary.

Honestly, it made me cringe that the first thing out of the guy's mouth was "big things."

"Big" is what's killing this series. They need to cull it down and make it more focused. Enough of the UbiWorld.

One of my favorite Far Cry games was actually Far Cry Instincts on Xbox. It was simple and linear and I must have played through it four or five times, easily. I can't say the same for any of the collect-a-thon Far Crys. I've played and enjoyed them all, but even I'm getting tired of the formula.

Nothing. I play video games when I'm at home. When I'm not at home, I'm not playing video games. The only exception being if I'm on a plane for a few hours. Otherwise if I'm traveling, I'm driving. Sometimes I'll take the Switch on vacation but I hardly ever play it.

I did try to do it using my phone and touch controls once while sitting in a hospital waiting room but it was such a laggy mess that I gave up after a few minutes. That was probably my phone service though, as my plan is bottom tier. Even still, I'm not going to pay for a better tier just so I can occasionally play a game for a few minutes.

I'm so happy Sea of Stars doesn't look like the same crappy pixel art junk we've been seeing for years now. For those too young to have experienced SNES games on a CRT, this is what it looked like to us. Not a bunch of blocky garbage.

What I find entertaining is that it's being held back by a feature that only a tiny percentage of gamers will use.

I would even be willing to bet half of the ones that say they want split screen co-op will actually use it.

I'm all for playing a game alongside someone, but those are casual experiences at best, not large 100+ hour CRPGs.

@IronMan30 Like the others have said, it comes down to licensing. And while Hasbor might be up to renewing the license with Activision, Activision has to feel like it's worth the money. And in reality, it probably isn't.

Microsoft might feel differently though, as those games wouldn't necessarily need to sell x amount copies to be viable. They just need to retain GP subs.

I think I'm retiring from the Ubisoft Beta Scene. I'll give it a look when it releases.

Kind of a bummer to hear they're still wasting time on planes. Those are usually so boring.

Also.. bro... if you're a small team making a game, why is PS5 your lead platform? Develop for PC first and port that **** over later.

I'm not going to dump on the visual quality of the game, because it does look like a small developer with probably an equally small budget.

That being said... if you're going to comment on your game being held back by the tech, you damn well better be sure the game footage backs it up.

This looks like it could be a decent budget shooter but I don't buy the tech limitations for second. Looks like they need to clean up some of the overhead because there's not a whole lot going on in that footage that makes be believe it's pushing the hardware.

@BeerIsAwesome No contract of this kind will ever be indefinite. When it expires, they'll re-negotiate. Same as with any other contract.

I'm guessing "early 2024" is going to be more like "summer 2024" meaning this game is still a year away.

I'm not mad at it. It claims to be Alpha footage, and it shows. The game looks far from complete.

That said, it does look a lot like TDU2 from years and years ago, which is both a good and a bad thing. I really liked TDU2, but I don't think Forza Horizon was even a thing at that time. They have quite the uphill battle now. It's gonna have to do a hell of a lot more than it did before to compete.

Meanwhile, Ticketmasters continues to bend us over in plain view of the FTC with no repercussions whatsoever.

They need to help their former employees find new jobs by pretending they didn't work on Gollum.

Still waiting to find The Callisto Protocol on sale. I've had that game on my wishlist since launch but I'm not forking over 70 bones for it. Once it hits $25 it starts to get into impulse-buy territory.

I thought it looked kinda cool. Wasn't a fan of the Emo Prince character design, but the game looked good.

One of the things that made me put down the controller on Amnesia Rebirth was the fact that I needed to keep finding matches to light candles instead of, ya know, CARRYING THE ****ING CANDLES.

I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the new trend MS is doing where they put the "Gold" or "Premium" edition on sale (the $90-$100 versions) but the Standard edition stays regular price.

Even at half off, that's too much for Saints Row, is what I'm sayin'.

I finally bought this on Switch after it sitting on my Steam wishlist for ages. So of course shortly after I buy it they break like, two years of radio silence.

I wouldn't exactly be hating my life decisions over not getting a $14 discount.

Ubisoft games, on the other hand, I've definitely stopped buying day one.

Still an 8. I loved the narration and the idea that he was writing the game as it was happening.

I'm just hoping all the multiplats that Sony showed aren't also in the Xbox show. I want to see different stuff.

Diablo IV. Duh.

They need to have the ability to show all the games in the MS store. Like, ALLLLLL the games. There are games out there that are lost to the ether because they don't fit into any of the Store's pre-sorted "categories." Unless you know the name of the game and actively search for it, you'll never find it.

The Xbox 360 Store had the option to search by letter, and they showed you everything. Granted, there were far fewer digital titles back then, but c'mon MS. You're MS. I'm sure you can figure something out.
