One of the creative forces behind the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series' has announced the formation of a brand-new studio - named 'Absurd Ventures'. This new development house is looking to "create new universes" across multiple mediums and platforms, with Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser at the helm.
It sounds like this new team isn't just creating video games, although that will be a part of the overall operation. The studio is looking at "live-action and animation; video games and other interactive content; books, graphic novels, and scripted podcasts" as potential avenues for new content.
What we do know is that Houser wants to go on and build new worlds, as he did with a huge team at Rockstar Games.

Who knows when we'll actually see anything from Absurd Ventures, especially in the video game world, given how long Rockstar works on its titles. We're definitely intrigued to see what Houser builds with this new studio though, given his history with some of the biggest franchises on the planet.
