If you happen to be a fan of Ubisoft's classic action-adventure Beyond Good & Evil and were hoping to see the game make a return for its 20th anniversary, you might be in luck.

A new rating for the Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition has surfaced on the ESRB, and it's been rated for all platforms including the Xbox Series X|S. This title first made its debut on the original Xbox and other platforms back in November 2003, so a return could be just around the corner.

According to the ESRB, the game will be 'E10+' and features "animated blood" and "fantasy violence". Here's the rating summary, which shares some extra insight:

"This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a reporter accompanied by a pig-like companion investigating a conspiracy on the planet of Hillys. From a third-person perspective, players explore fantasy locations, take photos of evidence, solve puzzles, and fight robot and alien enemies. Combat is sometimes fast-paced, with players using melee weapons (e.g., staffs, torches) to strike stylized enemies that generally break apart or vanish into puffs of smoke. One boss battle depicts a squid-like alien stabbed in the eye, with yellow-green splatter effects."

Beyond Good & Evil was also previously released as a full HD remaster back during the Xbox Live Arcade era on Xbox 360 in 2011.

While it seems like this original game could be making a return in the near future, unfortunately, the sequel might still be a while away. Although there's not been any significant updates, earlier this year in January, a Ubisoft statement confirmed Beyond Good & Evil 2 was still in development, and the team wanted to "deliver on its ambitious promise".
