@Stoned_Patrol then I was told incorrectly by multiple sites. Did you buy the standalone DLC and play it through GPU without owning the base yourself?

@FatalBubbles yes you do. Read the other article on it. Game pass players have to buy the $35 digital upgrade as ownership of the base game is required. Another site started it clearly: " If you are a Game Pass subscriber interested in The Order of Giants DLC, you will need to purchase the Premium Edition upgrade, which is priced at £34.99 GBP/$34.99 USD."

So basically my gripe from the start. Especially, having played it on Game Pass, so I have to pay $32 to be able to play it, and for 3 hours of content, that's a ripoff...

Literally one known review source on this. Never heard of any of the others. Might have jumped the gun a bit on this post.

People sample more games they normally wouldn't buy because of game pass. Factoring in the samplers as normal buyers is kind of dumb to me tbh. Everyone grabs the free samples at Costco, doesn't mean they would've considered that food otherwise. But that's the whole point! You get some of the samplers to buy it because they tried something they normally wouldn't and were surprised that they like it then they buy it.

@Questionable_Duck $30 is still too much and I believe you need that upgrade to play from game pass. The add-ons are super lame. Who cares about a character skin and digital art book lol!

@Gabrie Woah that's crazy! Guess I lucked out, though I've only gone back and done a few collectibles, so maybe I didn't hit that particular one you did or something. Hope you get answers soon

@Gabrie Any bugs I noticed got fixed. I completed the game with relatively no issues at all.

Enjoyed the game but $35 is way too much for an offshoot mission DLC. This honestly needs to be almost as long as the campaign to justify that price. I'll wait for a sale or just pass on it if that never comes.

Not worth picking up for me until the wireless one for Xbox comes. Rumors are that is coming mid September potentially. Odd they would do Wuchang collab and not launch it with the game. Seems like a very lost marketing opportunity.

@WildConcept6 well at least we get another game. Maybe they'll explore him some more in this one for those who didn't play the prequel. The co-op is appealing.

@WildConcept6 Darksiders Genesis predominantly covered Strife. It is stated as co-op and can pick any of the 4 characters, so this one looks to be a 4-player co-op back to the 3rd person combat.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales has to be one of the most generic and dumb names I've seen. But par for the course for JRPGs...

No 2D game should take this long. The dev clearly has problems. I have a feeling this will not live anywhere near up to the hype they built from the first one and constantly delaying this one...

@Juanalf Both Microsoft and Sony (Sony more) have had publicly made exclusivity deals that allowed for Nintendo as both didn't see them as a direct competitor. But nice play

@Coletrain As if its really that expensive to port a PC game to Xbox that you are already porting on PS and Switch 2. No, this sounds like another closet Sony paid exclusivity deal.

I you want better market conditions, launch games when they are in a completed state and on all platforms so you can actually market it. You cut out your own feet from under you when you leave your game in early access on PC exclusively for over a year.

Man, this is freaking sucks! Was looking forward to this one. Xbox's touted "hands off" approach to their devs is backfiring. Devs need deadlines and a kick in the pants sometimes when they are stuck in development hell. It's time to ratchet down on these devs that are taking too long to make games. Perfect Dark was announced in 2020 for Pete's sake!

So, it'll be a PC then. I actually think it's the best direction for them considering they are no longer making anything exclusive anymore.

Series S always getting crapped on, yet this will be ported to Switch 2, which will be even harder. 30fps is totally fine for a slower paced melee game like this anyways. Bet they do hit 60fps tho.

I think the bigger problem is that they launched their game at a time with a plethora of better options released. Lots of people still playing heavier hitters like Clair Obscur, Oblivion, Doom etc...

Nintendo set the precedent with Switch 2 and the rest followed suit. Everyone was just waiting for one of the big companies to do it.

Yet Clair Obscur is selling like bonkers. The cream always rises to the top. Nobody is entitled to their own special day to sell their game.

I feel bad that this game got undercut by Oblivion remaster, but I plan on playing this first. Besides, the remaster sounds like it needs some patches as expected.
