Xbox Exec Questioned About Elite Series 3 Controller, Offers Slight Tease For The Future

We've been waiting such a long time for Xbox to finally reveal the Elite Series 3 Controller (the last one came out in 2019!), and Xbox's Sarah Bond might have teased its existence as part of a new interview at Tokyo Game Show 2025.

We say "might" because she specifically shuts down the question about whether the Elite Series 3 exists or not, but then goes on to suggest that Team Xbox is working on accessories and will have more to share in the future.

The interview is from Game Watch in Japan, so keep in mind we're using translation software here:

Game Watch: I love the "Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2", and I'm starting to pay attention to the new model. Do you have any new information......

Sarah: "I have nothing to talk about at this point (laughs). However, we are also making various innovations in accessories. More information should come out in the future."

For what it's worth, we've actually heard multiple stories about the Xbox Elite Series 3 Controller in 2025 already, with a rumour and report in the first half of the year suggesting that the Elite Series 3 was being worked on at Microsoft.

Very few details are seemingly known about the device, and it's only been speculated that it might launch in 2026 / around the same time as the next Xbox console, so ultimately a lot of details are up in the air as things stand.

Who knows whether it'll definitely see the light of day, but we're hopeful that it's coming along nicely for a 2026 launch!
